Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

I already live in leggings so I'll invest in some over the bump later on.

I am still full of cramps so waiting for 8am and I'll call the gp. Confused

TouchPauseEngage · 01/12/2014 07:48

ASOS have 20% off everything today if anyone is thinking of ordering.
Fx for you stone.

Kilicat · 01/12/2014 08:28

Sarky great news for you and fx for everyone who needs it today!

I had a total meltdown last night wondering how I would get through this week- we're on a two week timetable and this week is a lot busier than last week! Got a meal out tonight as one of the team are leaving and I'm leading a field trip on Friday and feeling nauseous at least 75% of the time and exhausted the other 25%.

Leela5 · 01/12/2014 08:37

Just phoned mw about my cramps and she said I can't get in any earlier for scan than already booked on wed :(. Will just have to sit it out. I'm getting really stabby achy cramps and lower back pain. My period may be due around now though so I'm wondering if it's that

Kilicat · 01/12/2014 08:40

touch thanks for heads up on ASOS - May need to order some stuff. Was hoping to keep it a secret (at work) until after the Christmas holidays but I am starting to look fat! It doesn't quite tie in with my 'got a dodgy tummy' story I've been using for the last couple of weeks.

Overtiredbackagain · 01/12/2014 09:01

I ordered a gorgeous swing dress other day from Asos, ordered a size bigger and so big even me and DP fit in it, was hilarious!! I can't imagine getting big enough to wear but for £20 might keep it!

How is everyone today - 8 + 5 and have a bump today, no amount of trying is keeping it in! It looks sweet but trying to keep it quiet til after Xmas at work and DC don't know just yet, I have the joy of telling exH at some stage, not looking forward to that as still extremely bitter that I dared to leave him - two years later Hmm anyone else been through same that can offer advice how to tell him? He's very bitter and when he finds out I know he will try and tell DC I won't want them any more blah blah, which obviously couldn't be further from the truth!!

StoneBaby · 01/12/2014 09:08

In the GP waiting room waiting to have a blood test. He wants to check my progesterone and HSG levels. I'm crying my eyes out with worries. I'm too early for a scan so blood are the best option

WantToGoingTo · 01/12/2014 09:14

overtired I also bought two swing dresses from asos for work - not maternity wear but they are fab as reckon I could wear then til about 24 weeks as they are v baggy! But also don't look silly on too so can wear them before and after maternity wear Grin and only £20 each! Bargain :)

Number3cometome · 01/12/2014 09:41

Morning ladies, weighed myself and I've put 4lb on. WTF.

7 + 2

UltimateDuck · 01/12/2014 10:11

Stone I hope the gp was good to you and yor bloods come back positive.

I'm still bleeding a little but and it is red now so its not looking good. I managed to see the gp this morning. She was lovely. She checked my urine and saw no sign of infection, she also took a swab and has referred me to the epu. I'll hopefully get a scan today or tomorrow, but i'm not feeling very positive.

Number3cometome · 01/12/2014 10:17

Duck, this must be a really worrying time for you, but please take some solace in the fact that many ladies have spoken on here about having a haematoma below the foetus which bleeds away normally and without causing any hard to the baby. Please try to remain positive until you have had your scan. Fx Flowers

StoneBaby · 01/12/2014 10:18

duck fx

No bleeding for me but can't remember having so much cramps when pg with DS.

misseskimo · 01/12/2014 10:21

Back from scan and all seems well, been dated at 8 weeks on the dot which ties in with my workings. Also got given a picture not that you can see much which surprised me. Think she felt sorry for me as she kept watching me and saying I need to relax or its going to be a really long 9m. Seems to be a recurring pattern with medical professionals telling me to try and relax lol.

Thanks for advice on asos. May try to look when home this evening, pickup some trousers and leggings!

Also got given my exemption form to post. Dr was surprised I hadn't received it yet so did me another form Hmm be nice as they've just given me 3 prescriptions so think I'll wait till that arrives before cashing in!

8+1

Stone is this DC 2?

I have found the more pregnancies I have had, the more the cramps hurt.
This time they have certainly been a lot worse.
With DC1, I didn't have many, DC 2 more but early on only, and this time some nights I have been thinking it's really bad and worrying.

I was doubled over in Tesco the other evening. FX Flowers

UltimateDuck · 01/12/2014 10:38

Miss that is great news. I'm so pleased for you. Now try and relax Wink

I've just had a call from the EPU and we are going up there now for a scan. I'm just abour keeping it together.

Thepurplegiraffe · 01/12/2014 10:41

Thinking of you Duck. Lots of people have had a little bit of bleeding and have been fine. Really hope that's the case for you. Thanks

misseskimo · 01/12/2014 10:43

Thanks duck and to you. Thats why I was at EPU due to blood, so fx for you all is fine also

Duck good luck and fx - keeping everything crossed for you.
xx

laspalmas · 01/12/2014 10:51

Good luck to everyone who is having scans today. I had a reassurance scan this morning (as I've previously had a MMC) and it showed a little heart beating away bang on my LMP dates at 8+5. Feeling very grateful today. And also very sick! I don't know who mentioned KP salt and vinegar squares but they are my anti nausea weapon of choice too :-)

Leela5 · 01/12/2014 10:56

Good luck today duck and anyone else feeling anxious.

Number3cometome · 01/12/2014 10:58

My nausea has well and truly kicked in now.
It was confined to just evenings, but now is mornings too.

If I allow myself to get hungry (which lets face it, is constantly) then I feel even worse.

This morning I woke up and instantly needed toast, that is unusual for me as usually I wouldn't eat until 11ish.

I had a banana when I got to work, and now eating an avocado.

Anything sweet makes me feel sick, I loved M&S seeded bloomer until today, now the thought turns my stomach.

Oh how things change in a week haha!

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 01/12/2014 10:59

Good luck stone, duck and leela.

Absolutely no compulsion here to clean or do Christmassy stuff... too busy feeling absolutely gross and exhausted while trying to ensure DS stays alive. Ahhh the difference between this time and last time (when I could nap whenever I wanted!). Have been chain-eating shreddies to stop the nausea and occasional Haribo sours to take the taste out of my mouth.

Great news laspalmas.

Asos great for pregnancy stuff - and free returns too, which is key. Last time I bought stuff a bit too late - the earlier you buy it, the more use you get out of it!

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 01/12/2014 10:59

(P.S. I have a tub of shreddies by my bed and eat them last thing at night before brushing teeth and first thing in the morning. They are like a wonder-drug for morning sickness!)

laspalmas · 01/12/2014 11:05

Ooh shreddies. Haven't tried those.....

Thepurplegiraffe · 01/12/2014 11:19

I did shreddies so much last time that they eventually made me sick in the end and now I can't eat them without feeling nauseous, and that was before I got pregnant this time around!
I had my booking in appointment this morning, which was fine, but I ran into a friend while I was sitting in the midwives waiting room. She didn't say anything but think the cat might be out of the bag there.
