Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

My new discovery to banish nausea - carrots, and also having a slice of lemon in water.

I am off sweet things at the moment, I guess its a good thing, which means healthy eating, and no unnecessary weight gain.

The cramps came back for me, sometime yesterday, disappeared last week. Guess it means more expanding of the uterus, according to my app, the foetus is 7 weeks old.

Number3cometome · 01/12/2014 11:30

Joy I'm the same with sweet stuff.

Even turned my nose up at a Krispy Kreme which is unheard of for me.

That and no alcohol alone for me should help me drop some lbs, but alas I have put 4lb on in 3 weeks.

Not sure how that happened!

StoneBaby · 01/12/2014 11:32

Number3 yes it is DC2.

TinyCaterpillar · 01/12/2014 11:34

Good luck with the scan duck. Thinking of you - I've been there with previous pgs and all was well but it's a worrying time. Flowers

Number3 I put on a stone in the first trimester with my last two! But only went up another stone or so overall. Haven't put on a single pound this time so I guess all pgs are different, I look massive though Confused

Thepurplegiraffe · 01/12/2014 11:35

Joy, I have been eating carrots till they come out of my ears, until I threw loads of them up again last night. Not sure how well they will work now. I seem to be running out of foods I can stomach.

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 01/12/2014 11:37

P.S. Gap is 40% off at the moment, incl for maternity wear. Don't want to tempt fate by buying something before our 8 week scan though...

sdyer · 01/12/2014 11:39

Morning all! FX to you ladies Flowers I've had brown grainy looking MD since Saturday but seemed to have stopped today.
Was nauseous before bed last night for the first time and went to bed at 8ish xx

Number3cometome · 01/12/2014 11:40

Tiny that's reassuring, hopefully I won't put too much on then.

I was 3 stone with DC1 4 stone with DC2 but I was bad with eating.

This time I am being good, but I do like high calorie foods like avocado.

TinyCaterpillar · 01/12/2014 11:46

I LOVE avocado at the moment! Just going to make some avocado on toast for lunch - yum!

JoY007 · 01/12/2014 11:53

I don't feel any lighter, despite not eating more Confused
Guess the weight gain now is your boobs, and extra blood I think, the bean is about a size of a grape or less.

Did someone say Avocado, would not mind that with some salt on it- yummy Smile.

oh dear purple hope you find an alternative.

Last week, I went off my morning nausea cure - pret focacia bread with egg and tomato. In a way I am happy, I don't generally like to eat bread 7 days a week, so good riddance.

I am off alcohol as well, particularly wine, I am not going to miss it.

Anyone tried eating raw ginger? Not brave enough to attempt it!

Number3cometome · 01/12/2014 11:56

I have been having ginger and lemon tea, I am a natural ginger myself, so it would be like eating a sibling if I had a raw ginger Shock

Avocado is lovely, but I think I may soon go off it.

I'm not allowed any salt! I have high blood pressure and am on medication grrrrrr

Defo my boobs, they are massive. To be fair, they wasn't small to start with but now are pretty big.

I have a small bump, mainly made of bloating and water no doubt.

Pipbin · 01/12/2014 12:04

6+3 and nothing. I feel normal.

Is anyone else getting loads of clear discharge?

Number3cometome · 01/12/2014 12:05

Pip That was me last week.

No symptoms, except slightly sore boobs.

This week a different story!

Not that I am complaining Smile

Pipbin · 01/12/2014 12:09

Slightly sore boobs numbers and that's it.

Leela5 · 01/12/2014 12:13

I've lost weight, but think that's because I can't eat as much as usual and also I normally drink a lot of calorific booze! I expect it'll start piling back on soon.

Cramps have eased. I feel nauseous most of the time and have a very sore lower back.

Number3cometome · 01/12/2014 12:13

Pip fear not!

That's how I felt last week, then nausea hit me.

I was very tired week 5, then week 6 nothing at all.

I'm now 7+2

LizziTea · 01/12/2014 12:20

What good news, misseskimo and Laspalmas.
Stonebaby - I completely understand how scary blood test results can be - I was in floods of tears waiting for mine last week. Hope you are coping OK and managing to relax as you wait for the results.
Good luck to everyone with scans today, fx!
I'm intrigued by the nausea-friendly food ideas, especially carrots - will have to give those a try. I have to eat gluten free, and I have found that most of the advice online is for gluteny foods like crackers, toast and dry cereal. I have been eating large quantities of oatcakes, but I suspect when my tummy' feeling wobbly they're not ideal because of the fibre content. Any further suggestions for gluten free foods for a queasy stomach?

Sarkymare · 01/12/2014 12:26

Good luck duck, thinking of you.

That's brilliant miss!! I've been trying to get online all morning to see how you got on.

I seem to have developed a backbone this past week, I've stood up to both parents now and feel bloomin fantastic!! Even with the impending shit storm that's surely coming my way from my 'father'

naty1 · 01/12/2014 12:37

Ive lost 3lb, i did lose last time too. Have quite a large bump though. (Think its because ovaries were huge and weighed more than the bump now)
Fx for all those having scans.

Zampa · 01/12/2014 12:50

Fx crossed for those of you waiting for results. If it's any consolation, 30% of women experience first trimester bleeding. So 33 of us here (I think) will experience it (me included).

UltimateDuck · 01/12/2014 13:23

I'm back from the EPU now and it seems I have had an mc. They couldn't find a baby on the scan. They were very thorough and spent a long time checking everywhere. I'm also bleeding more now so it seems that i may have lost it a few days ago.

I'm feeling very sad but my dp is being fab and DD is blundering around as normal, so I'm trying to concentrate on her.

I wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies and babies. xxx

LizziTea · 01/12/2014 13:25

I'm so sorry to hear that, Duck. xxx

Thepurplegiraffe · 01/12/2014 13:33

So sorry Duck that is such sad news. Be kind to yourself over the next few days and give yourself time to recover. Massive hugs and Thanks

Zampa · 01/12/2014 13:36

Duck - my heart goes out to you. I'm so sorry for your loss. Hope things work out for you in the future.

BadIdeaBear · 01/12/2014 13:37

So sorry to hear your news duck. Look after yourself and I'm glad that your DP is being great. Flowers
