Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

That is an absolutely heart breaking figure. I genuinely had no idea.

I am kind of kicking myself that I was so keen to poas and get the BFP but really, it's pretty meaningless.

I just want to hide away now Sad

Overtiredbackagain · 10/12/2014 15:48

Sorry to hear your news Sarky. I hope you have lots of support.

Look after yourself

x

Leela5 · 10/12/2014 15:59

Try to keep positive, sadly there's nothing you can do - which I find is the only thing to stop me constantly worrying.

Thinking of all the ladies who have lost their little ones. So sorry to hear about yours Number xx

Pipbin · 10/12/2014 16:50

Oh Sarky - after all those early scans with a strong heartbeat too.

JoY007 · 10/12/2014 16:51

Oh no Sarky I am so sorry and very sad to hear of your loss. I hope you feel better soon, and DH is taking care of you. Take care of yourself, treat and spoil yourself. All will be well, heard you can start trying immediately very possible. Hugs and xxx hon.Flowers Flowers Flowers

StoneBaby · 10/12/2014 17:57

Sarky Sad

Baby brain alert!!!
I was cooking DS dinner, put it into an oven dish, turn the oven on, put the timer on. After 20mn, open the oven and realise that the dish is still on the counter! Xmas Blush Let's try again...

broodylicious · 10/12/2014 18:00

So so sorry sarky Sad such devastating news.

Yes sadly, fleur, it is one in four pg that end in mc. However, as leela has said, it's properly shit bad luck and nothing can be done to prevent mc so pls don't worry unnecessarily. It's just so sad. It really annoys me that it's still such a taboo subject when thousands of ladies have their hearts broken every daySad It's the worst time ever.

247babyonthebrain · 10/12/2014 18:11

So sorry to hear your sad news Sarky. Thinking of you at this time??

Toastandmarmiteallday · 10/12/2014 18:13

So sorry sarky to hear the news.

Fleur you're not alone, I honestly thought mc was rare but this thread has really opened up eyes and shown just how often it can/does happen. My biggest worry at the mo is mc which stops me from getting too excited about this pregnancy but as you said Leela there isn't anything that we can do so not worth the worry (although easier said than done)

Bustherb · 10/12/2014 18:25

Sending hugs to you sarky ThanksThanks

I've just projectile vomited hot chocolate ShockShock anyone else having stretchy pains? Mine are more towards my hip bone, xx

StoneBaby · 10/12/2014 18:29

bust yes around the hips too. Fx you'll be feeling better soon

broodylicious · 10/12/2014 18:34

Defo easier said than done, isn't it, toast! I'm trying to be positive and believe my own "don't panic, you're still in the game, no reason to suspect mc" spiel but there's such a nagging in my mind. I mc at 12 weeks earlier this yr so am desperate for the next four weeks to scuttle by!

Bustherb · 10/12/2014 18:38

That's reassuring to know your having it too stone, how many weeks are you? I'm 10 & 3 xx

TallGiraffes · 10/12/2014 18:59

Sarky - condolences to you and your family Flowers I hope the overwhelming pain eases in time.

Toastandmarmiteallday · 10/12/2014 19:12

Broody I am exactly the same! Think DH didn't help matters initially as when I told him about BFP he mentioned that the gf of his friend had mc'd just before 12 week scan and had spell in hospital - and then said "oh I shouldn't really have told you" - no shit Sherlock! Why don't men think before opening their mouths!

StoneBaby · 10/12/2014 19:16

Bust I'm 8 weeks today

Naturegirl82 · 10/12/2014 19:23

Sorry to hear your news sarky Thanks

Butler4 · 10/12/2014 19:34

Sorry to hear your sad news sarky. Hope you have lots of support to help you through this time.

BadIdeaBear · 10/12/2014 19:48

Gutted to hear your news sarky Flowers
fleur I'm really struggling with not overly worrying too, but everyone is right here, and my DH is often saying, there's no point to worrying, cos there's absolutely nothing you can do to prevent. But it's just a constant waiting for the next landmark and hoping it goes OK, isn't it?

8+6

broodylicious · 10/12/2014 20:00

toast unfortunately, that was me - I mc just hours before my 12 week scan. Such cruel timing. How is your DH's friend now? Are you all close?

Men are just different about all this baby stuff, I find; they're practical, not led by emotions, so they're happy to see those two glorious lines and are so supportive when we are vomming, but for them, they're not daddies until that bump pops and they're holding the baby themselves. God love em though WinkSmile

StoneBaby · 10/12/2014 20:07

I agree about that nagging worry (aka mc) I'm constantly on pants checking especially as I always feel wet (sorry tmi). But fx it'll all be fine.

Number3cometome · 10/12/2014 20:08

Broody that's awful! Why do shit things like that happen?

So sorry Flowers
