Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

How long did it take you to get your bloods back?

I had my booking in 2 weeks ago, but still not heard the results?

JoY007 · 10/12/2014 11:45

Hello All, not sure if I can say my nausea is still here or gone, could be that I have accepted that the feeling is normal Confused.

That said I had a croissant this morning. Yes! Walked past a bakery and the smell was so inviting, my first one in 4 months or so.

I had my very first proper cry this morning, I was missing my siblings in the US, not seen them for 3 years, seriously contemplating taking a quick trip in the new year Sad

10 weeks today, they do say that placenta begins to take over gradually from this point. I am still very tired though, was falling asleep a moment ago. Looking forward to my xmas team lunch, its at a nice restaurant as opposed to a pub excited :-)

How is everyone today?

Overtiredbackagain · 10/12/2014 11:51

JoY, I think that's a good sign that you are fancying food smells though, as opposed to feeling the need to throw up at the faintest hint of anything?

Must be hard being away from family around this time of year anyway, pregnancy hormones must make it ten times worse! I seem to be crying all sorts of stupid things lately, which OH sees highly amusing! I'm fortunate that I have my parents close by, although we have a strained relationship after I split with my ex-h beginning of last year, but am trying to rebuild that now. My sister moved to Jersey this year and we have a horrendous relationship so I am just pleased there is safe distance, but have always been jealous of close families Sad

Overtiredbackagain · 10/12/2014 11:56

Virtual I haven't had my bloods done yet, I'll have them done when I have my scan at the hospital, but that's not until 2 January and I'll be 13+2 Shock Trying not to think about it too much...... My MW did say though that the results usually take 2-3 weeks but I would hear much sooner if anything showed up, so if I hadn't heard anything by 2 weeks, all would be ok.

lightgreenglass · 10/12/2014 12:07

I got my blood results immediately at the hospital but with the MW she told me the next time she saw me if everything was all good.

Got a horrendous cold and cough from DS so in bed feeling very sorry for myself. Normally dose myself up with Lemsip Sad. Every time I cough or blow my nose I feel tightening below - I hope the cold germs aren't going to the little one.

supersupersupershock · 10/12/2014 12:13

Not sure if I have introduced myself on here yet so hi! I am 7+4 according to early scan, whereas I thought I was 8+4. Ah well!

Have had several days of utter nausea and complete exhaustion. At the mo the nausea is there in the background threatening a return but okay so far. Exhaustion however, my goodness. I don't how some of you can manage work. I mean I did with my first but that was 10 years ago. Its obv my age!

Naturegirl82 · 10/12/2014 12:21

Hi super congratulations

Number3cometome · 10/12/2014 12:27

I'm so hungry at the thought of chip shop chips scoffs favourite Salt and Vinegar Walkers Squares

Fleurchamp · 10/12/2014 12:33

I had to satisfy that craving number and they were bloody delicious Grin

Fruit for the rest of the day Hmm

Number3cometome · 10/12/2014 12:33

I want them now. I may have to go to the pub and have some chips, and a cuppa tea, because I am pretty rock and roll like that.

naty1 · 10/12/2014 13:20

Wondering if anyone has been dated ahead at early scan? I think lots of us have been dated back.

However mw said yesterday any scan under 8weeks wouldnt be used for dating. (I guess that shows the inaccuracy at such a small size.)

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 10/12/2014 13:51

Hi everyone, have been following along but not posting as I've been feeling awful and struggling to cope with work, toddler + pregnancy sickness and exhaustion. Had a nasty cough and cold that have been lurking for over a month now which isn't helping!

Very sorry to hear your news bluesky, sdyer and others that have had bad news Flowers

I finally had my booking in app today, 10+6 by LMP (but probably about a week behind) and booked in for a home birth! The midwife said I should get a scan date within a week which is a relief, I was worried I might miss out as it's getting close to Christmas. Does anyone know anything about blood pressure? My diastolic reading was only 58 which seems very low, the midwife didn't comment but I'm not sure if I should be worried Confused

virtual with my last pregnancy I didn't see the blood test results until my next midwife appointment at 16 weeks, but you might be able to call in and ask for them if you want them sooner. If there was a problem I expect they would let you know anyway so no news is probably good news.

Anyone else wishing away these weeks? I can't wait for the end of next week when I finish work for Christmas and will (hopefully) start to feel much better!

Leela5 · 10/12/2014 14:06

Hi all, im wfh because I felt so awful in the office. Here I can have window open which helps.

I was dated earlier at early scan - just 1 day, but this is because I didn't have af between mc and bfp so I'd guessed.

I had bloods yesterday at hospital and got booking in appointment on Monday. Hoping she'll tell me when 12 week scan will be.

8+5

VirtualSantaHat · 10/12/2014 14:18

After my stress this morning, results came in the post at lunchtime!

All normal thankfully

Number3cometome · 10/12/2014 14:29

Hi all,

I haven't had my bloods results yet - they were done two weeks ago.

Assuming M/W would have contacted me with any issues?

My scan is Friday, I am fully expecting to be a week behind as ClearBlue Digital was saying I was 1-2 when I thought I was 4 1/2 weeks and 2-3 when I thought I was 5 1/2 weeks. I didn't bother doing another one as I didn't want the disappointment!

Feeling nervous for Friday.

8+4 (or 7+4 who knows!)

itsnotthatdeep · 10/12/2014 14:44

over im 11 weeks tomorrow Grin Grin

Number3cometome · 10/12/2014 14:47

The settee is so amazing at the moment. I am normally a past midnight kind of girl, but lately struggle with 9pm!

We have a new recliner settee coming in two weeks time, I may well be snoozing on that the second I get in from work by then haha

Number3cometome · 10/12/2014 14:47

itsnotthatdeep

I want to be 11 weeks Envy

sarkymare · 10/12/2014 15:24

Hi all

Just here to say that I have to duck out from the thread now. Scan today showed I have had a MMC. I now have to decide wether I want a D&C or to let nature take its time.

Wishing you all the best x

LizziTea · 10/12/2014 15:28

Sarkymare, I am so, so sorry to hear that. Xxx

Number3cometome · 10/12/2014 15:28

Oh no Sarky, so so sorry.

This is dreadful news.

I really hope that you are being well looked after and that you take the time and care you need to heal.

Take lots of love from us all and again, so sorry for your loss Sad xxxx

Fleurchamp · 10/12/2014 15:31

sarky so sorry Sad hope you're ok xx

Is it me, or is this far too common an occurrence? I am now seriously panicking. I had no idea this happened so often.

SadSadSad

Number3cometome · 10/12/2014 15:40

Fleur you absolutely read my mind.

My scan is Friday and to say I am shitting myself is an absolute understatement.

We have lost far too many lovely ladies from this thread so far, and many are into the 8th and even 9th weeks.

I think the stats are wrong, it seems much more common than I thought and that makes me incredibly sad.

Sad Flowers

So so sorry ladies, I just don't know what to say.

Leela5 · 10/12/2014 15:43

I'm so sorry sarky, I hope you have someone with you xxx Flowers

Sadly number and fleur it's around 1 in 4/5. I didn't realise how common it is until I lost my baby and many people I told then told me about their own mc :(.

Fx to everyone going for scans

Number3cometome · 10/12/2014 15:45

I have had 3 mc's previously. All pre-6 weeks. (one technically was a chem preg) All were before my first DC was born.
At the time I was besides myself with doubt that I would ever have a live birth.

I guess this time I had got to the thinking that I have had two live births so my chances are better, but I guess going by the other ladies this is not the case.

Nature is so cruel, it really is.

I'm just keeping an open mind for my scan on Friday.

I have my Grandad's funeral to get through tomorrow so I guess that's going to keep my mind off it for the day.

I just feel so sad now. I can't even imagine how you ladies feel.
