Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

leela sea sickness bands? I may just look into that. I was recommended acupuncture by someone but I'm too much of a wussy Blush

Leela5 · 08/12/2014 07:21

Apparently they work

Fleurchamp · 08/12/2014 07:32

I have some of those bands and will be trying them out today. Will report back later.

I must get out of bed and into the shower but all I want to do is roll over and go back to sleep Sad

Number3cometome · 08/12/2014 07:49

ooooh goshhhh I cannot stop being sick!! Up until today it was nausea, but violent sickness begun as soon as I woke up. It's so bad I'm wondering if it's morning sickness or a bug?!
First day off sick in years laying on settee feeling sorry for ones self!

Thepurplegiraffe · 08/12/2014 08:09

Maybe a stomach bug Number3, there is alot of that kind of thing going round and that does seem a very big change in one day. Hopefully it is and therefore won't last too long. Hope you feel better soon and can rest.

Overtiredbackagain · 08/12/2014 08:31

I would say sounds more sickness bug than ms Number3. Hope you feel better soon xx

I am feeling relatively normal which I am finding slightly unnerving Hmm

Number3cometome · 08/12/2014 09:17

I had some toast and felt better then ten mins later head down loo.
No one else in the house is sick and I don't have a temperature?
Seems odd. I need to man up!

broodylicious · 08/12/2014 09:21

awww miss, I love the sister one - my sister would love that! I love creative ideas like that :)

I think I've we've decided to tell my close family (parents, sister and granddad) on Boxing Day over lunch. I will be 10+1 then so earlier than I'd have liked to announce but I'm looking horrific and can hardly keep a meal down, so it is probably quite obvious to them already as they knew how bad I was with dd. I was out with my folks and sister yesterday and ordered a sausage roll and crisps with a fizzy water so they must be clicking, as that's not normal for me! I know they'll be so excited but worried too, after my mc at 12 weeks in February, but I feel more positive about this pregnancy right now so hoping it'll work out this time.

My ms is actually full on sickness now, not just nausea, although I have that pretty much all day. I'm violently sick from 5pm until 10pm. I did try those sea sickness bands with my last pg and I thought they worked quite well so I'll have to see if I can find them (although half of the house is still in boxes after our move and during all of our renovation work, so not as easy as it sounds!)

want, hope work goes better for you today x

broodylicious · 08/12/2014 09:26

number, this is how my ms kicked in! I was slightly nauseous for weeks, then all of a sudden, a few days ago, wham and it's full on sickness. I can't remember it being like that with dd or the last pg but I'm taking it as a good sign and trying to just keep topping up with water to prevent dehydration (which isn't easy because I can't seem to always keep that down either!) Sympathetic hugs x

Fleurchamp · 08/12/2014 09:50

Ok so 2 hours in and I haven't been sick. The bands might be psychological but they are helping at the moment.
Have managed breakfast, a coffee (a colleague bought it for me and so I felt bad not accepting) and some water.

Number3cometome · 08/12/2014 10:01

Ok I need one of those bands, I'll try anything!!

broodylicious · 08/12/2014 10:57

I got mine from eBay number - tons cheaper than on the high street but still brand new and effective. Think I paid £2 when boots ask for £8?!

JoY007 · 08/12/2014 11:26

Hi All, good weekend, had a good rest, spent most of the day in bed on sunday. Today I am having pains in my lower abdomen and side area, and sometimes down there.. weird! I hope this is normal, the placenta gets formed in this coming weeks right?? Big changes means pain, that is how I have decided to pysche myself.

Got some pretzels today, and still going strong on my slice of lemon in water.

I love the idea of those cards, planning on getting similat for DPs parents, my parents, and my siblings, with the scan picture attached. Not decided whether to get for DPs siblings given our baby will not be their first niece or nephew. I am not very creative Smile so I will resort to JL, M&S et al for inspiration.

BTW - did anyone see the article in the guardian about expecting mothers and mother on being told what to do nowadays? Interesting read, will try and find link and send, you will all relate Smile

Sickness and nausea are crippling me, after getting meds from docs took them and could not pick myself up. After checking they were drowsy!!! No use when I have 2 babies to look after! So always got told to force rich teas or digestives down, but I cannot face anything sweet. Ready salted crisps and pot noodles (which I normally detest) seem to be about it. Also during the night feels like I am spinning with nausea, and it lasts all night sleep is so difficult, apparently so is walking I am now crawling to shove my head down the pan. 8 weeks tomorrow!

Blueskygirl30 · 08/12/2014 11:44

Just popping on to wish all you lovely ladies the best of luck and happiness throughout your pregnancies. I went for my scan today and I have unfortunately miscarried.

Best of luck to you all
