Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

Yep your normal size. To be honest I lived in legging (maternity ones) and floatty tops (normal wear) during my 1st pg. it saves a few quids too

broodylicious · 06/12/2014 19:53

Oh bad, I'm with you on the weeping. Everything sets me off these days, it's so embarrassing!

Toastandmarmiteallday · 06/12/2014 20:04

Thanks Tiny - thought so but first time so just wanted to check. Buttons are my neminsis especially in the evenings! Great, will try that Stone. I feel a shopping trip in orderHmm

SparklyPenguin · 06/12/2014 20:11

Evening all! Been interesting reading lots of your stories re symptoms but having to go to loads of Xmas do's because of time of year. Just wondering if any of you (like me) are on the 'other' side of this, struggling on with (currently secret) pregnancy in bar/catering/retail jobs at peak season with 14hr days on feet, with no hols or sick days possible in December? Would love to hear if anyone's got any great tips for coping well with a very physical job during Xmas rush!

broodylicious · 06/12/2014 20:21

Tmi alert!!! Stomach acid and possibly spaghetti stuck in throat after puking session. Ladies, what can shift this vile taste/obstruction?! Water, bread not doing it.... ShockBlush

VirtualPointyHat · 06/12/2014 20:36

Have discovered Rubicon mango lollies

I have decided to live on them for the next 7 months - so good!

smallgreenbanana · 06/12/2014 20:41

I'm boiling all the time and get hot flushes!

Normally I am completely the opposite and have to wear a scarf in winter even in the house as I suffer from a drafty neck.

DH thinks my new radiator-like qualities are great -- he has a good snuggle up in bed!!

broodylicious · 06/12/2014 20:47

Aah lollies are the best for shifting sickness and nausea virtual! I lived on orange calippos when I was pg with my dd. Never tried rubicon though so may well find some now...

Thepurplegiraffe · 06/12/2014 20:59

Twisters all the way. I am having at least one a day!
I just cannot get warm. It's going to be a long winter.

luckythirteen · 06/12/2014 21:04

I have been lucky not to have any nausea or sickness so far but now I'm craving ice lollies!! VirtualPointyHat, mango ones sound amazing, do you freeze the juice yourself?

StoneBaby · 06/12/2014 21:08

I like the sound of the ice lollies but as I'm cold constantly it may be not a good idea.

For the last 2 days, I have been suffering discomfort from the in between the legs stitching on my jeans. It's like it's pushing in! Sooo uncomfortable. Do anybody else have that?

SparklyPenguin · 06/12/2014 21:10

Lollies (and occasional choc-ices) have been a good friend for me when nauseous too! Despite it being winter......

Thepurplegiraffe · 06/12/2014 21:46

Stone, I deal with the cold as it temporarily takes the nausea away for me and sometimes gives me a better chance of eating something else. Just about worth it.

Tiptoeshoes · 06/12/2014 21:52

Tonight I have eaten 2 del monte mango smoothie lollies. They are yummy, and definitely curb nausea.

I couldn't eat dinner at all, one wiff of chicken noodles my dh ate sent me to the bathroom.

Not great nutritionally to live off ice lollies though is it??!

misseskimo · 06/12/2014 22:08

Hey all, busy but unproductive day today. Went into town to get xmas presents and maternity trousers (as I can currently only fit into two pairs of jeggings) and didn't get any of either. Did find pjs for £5-10 in New Look, though not maternity, but they feel quite stretchy so fx they'll do me for a while... Going to go into the city tomorrow instead and see if I have more luck there for maternity wear. I must have gone to about 20 clothes shops today. And only 3 did maternity wear, none of which I liked Sad closest I got were a pair of jeans in jojo maman bebe, but they were a little too big still and fell down a bit when I walked. Though if I find nothing tomorrow they'll have to do!!

Also addicted to ice lollies they help with nausea

Lewaney3 · 06/12/2014 23:05

Hi ladies,

Just checking in... Can confirm leggings are the only comfy thing at the minute. I'm also constantly freezing.

Also this is my first...and honestly the nausea at some points...I feel like curling up into a ball it's just terrible...is this normal? Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Currently I'm having visions of this lasting the next 7 months...and it's making me feel even more ill. :( I also find the nausea especially kicks in around 6pm and lasts pretty much all evening... :/
Finally I see many of you choosing ice lollies....I have discovered pickled onion crisps are holding me steady . I feel so guilty as I was being very "good" with what I ate until last week when it all went pear shaped....feel like I'm writing my life story. But I just feel exhausted, hungry, sick and all around terrible. :( I'm really looking forward to my gp appointment on Thursday As sad as it sounds.

Also seen some lovely scan pics. Congrats to you all! I have my booking just before Xmas :)

Naturegirl82 · 07/12/2014 05:59

Those looking for maternity wear, very few high street stores stock their ranges in store I found last year. I have noticed some bringing a limited range back in like primark but your best bet is to shop online and find somewhere that does free returns in case sizing is wrong.

IBelieveInPink · 07/12/2014 08:00

Just on the maternity sizing, most is tts. However, h and m jeans (which are actually quite good) are ridiculously small, you need to order 2 sizes up!
I found next jeans fell down all the time. Best ones were mamas and papas over bump, but try and get them on offer!
H and m is one of the shops that stocks a reasonable maternity range in store, but often all the good sizes are gone....

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 07/12/2014 08:32

Oh god, don't hit the high st for mat wear, it is an exhausting and depressing experience. Internet shopping all the way!

lewaney, I know what you mean. I am sick every conscious second and feel so much worse in the evenings . I just clutch DH and go 'I can't doooo this anymoorre!'. Obv I said the same about DS1 so he knows I CAN do it.

Pipbin · 07/12/2014 09:18

Morning ladies 7+2 and still no sickness!
Thank goodness I'm getting my scan on Tuesday. If I had to wait until 12 weeks I would go mad.

Number3cometome · 07/12/2014 09:22

Morning ladies just had 12 hours sleep Shock. Considering I am normally a 5 hour sleep kind of girl it seems really odd to me. Woken up feeling emotional and recalling some fucking odd dreams!

Leela5 · 07/12/2014 09:32

I feel like death - so sick

WantToGoingTo · 07/12/2014 09:38

Ugh woke up this morning majorly constipated (back to the poo talk) it been getting worse since Friday! Haven't been since Wednesday I think Hmm tried eating loads of fruit to no avail. So uncomfortable! Hope I get going soon! First episode so far, it started off as the opposite!

At parents in law this weekend and I am sure mil has guessed. We went to an art show and I refused the free wine and then refused gooey cheese from France at dinner... An she ha suggested I stay home and relax today instead of seeing friends (she NEVER tells anyone to relax!) telli them in 2 weeks after scan so find out then I guess!

7+2

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 07/12/2014 09:45

Ahhh I have no appetite but would LOVE some gooey cheese from France!
