Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

all this talk of spanx and im just here trying to convince my mum to let us wear pjs on xmas day, she likes us all to dress up but remembered I have two lovely floaty skater dresses I car wear.

I'm so happy as ive just woken up and its the longest lie in ive had in ages. Due to a friend leaking the news I had to announce on FB last night im expectingAngry But it's cheered me right up as weve had loads of really nice messages mainly consisting of Shock faces and the word WOW.

supposedly seeing my dad in a bit we don't have the easiest relationship so im not particularly looking forward to that.

SPD sounds horrendous so massive hugs to all those suffering

Morning all

Not checked in for awhile. Struggling with sickness, had 5 days off work already, over the last few weeks and had to tell my line manager and boss as it's pretty obvious. I had lots of sickness last time too. Making me pretty miserable but then I feel guilty because I should just be so happy to be pregnant. I have several friends trying for ages.

Anyway been sick 3 time already today, dh taken dd to swimming and soft play while I feel sorry for myself.

Supposed to be going to a house warming do this afternoon and don't want to be obviously unwell. Not ready to tell everyone yet. Oh and yes I have no idea what to wear, I have a bump already too grrr

Morning ladies!

Hope you aren't feeling too rough this morning. Makes a change from a hangover I guess!

I felt a bit yuck earlier but went to tesco at 7:30am in my onesie, got some tiger bread and made scrambled eggs. I'm in love with tiger bread.

8 weeks today! Woop! Scan on Friday. Scared.

247babyonthebrain · 06/12/2014 10:31

Morning all, got my scan appt for 8th Jan when i will be 12 weeks exactly and midwife appt was changed from 22nd Jan to 17th Dec due to a cancellation. So pretty happy i wont have to wait until i am 14 weeks to be booked in.

Had a horrible head cold this week but feeling better today and off now to buy a christmas tree. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Overtiredbackagain · 06/12/2014 11:25

Morning all! Hope everyone is ok, I'm feeling tonnes better (9+3) just really tired.

Had day off holiday yesterday. A full on day Christmas shopping with DP at Bluewater, then kids school Christmas discos and dinner with friends, so pretty tired today.

Not much planned today. DP gone to play rugby, so I'm off to library this morning with DC (oh joy but they are excited!) and Christmas up this afternoon, then wrapping some presents. Tomorrow, DC will see their dad for couple of hours, so I'll get some time with DP and a date with the iron Hmm

Beautiful sunny but crisp day here!

StoneBaby · 06/12/2014 11:44

Just had a nap. Now need to take DS to a birthday party. I always feel cold, anybody else?

Leela5 · 06/12/2014 12:38

Number I love tiger bread!

My boobs have taken on Anna Nicole smith proportions. They are ridiculous...

Thepurplegiraffe · 06/12/2014 13:11

Freezing all the time Stone! I was last time as well.

Supershiv1 · 06/12/2014 13:21

Had my booking in yesterday and have my dating scan on 7th Jan when I'll be 12+5, with a consultant appointment straight after to measure cervix and stuff.
8+1 today, bloated, but nothing I can't hide!

Number3cometome · 06/12/2014 13:33

Feel sorry fo me, I'm at a football ground in Hertfordshire, kick off isn't until 3pm and it's bloody freezing.
I only have tea to keep warm but I can only have two cups as it isn't decaf and I feel yucky!!

itsnotthatdeep · 06/12/2014 13:42

leela I was a 34hh to begin withGrin im busting out even some of my Big bras last time I went as high as an m.

no such thing as pretty or comfortable over here

laspalmas · 06/12/2014 14:34

Great news Shiv. Just got my scan for New Year's Eve (eek) and seeing consultant next week. Must compare notes. Were you just PROM or any other known reason? Mine is unexplained so I'll be v interested to see what if anything they can do.

Feeling super nauseous still but had a great nights sleep last night. First night in weeks I haven't woken up for the loo and I was in bed at 9pm. Rock and roll!!

StoneBaby · 06/12/2014 15:27

purple I could happily seat on the top of the radiator! My 1st 1st trimester was in summer so I guess it's a new experience.

I need to get a new bra but can't be bothered to get undressed to try them on.

Supershiv1 · 06/12/2014 15:52

laspalmas no explanation here either. IUGR last time so taking daily aspirin and spontaneous labour which no cause was ever found. Will do lots of high up swabs to check for infection and scans to check cervix length. Was also talk of a cervical stitch at 16 weeks but think it will depend on what the scans show.
Once Christmas is out of the way think I'll start to get nervous. Not looking forward to telling work, just got a temp promotion and I think they'll think I'm nuts after last time!

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 06/12/2014 16:52

it'snot - glad you have lots of nice messages although that must have been v v annoying.

Fricking freezing here. I am cold all the time.

Discovered a mix of pink grapefruit and tonic water reduces the nasty taste in my mouth without me resorting to inhaling tangfastics.

Wolfy14 · 06/12/2014 17:14

I'm 35 from Aberdeen in Scotland. 10wks 1 day today and due on 4th July 15. First scan is on 23 Dec, scared to death as I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in March this year. Fingers crossed all will be well this time round. I have had terrible sickness and very sensitive nipples for the past 4 weeks, but nipples aren't so bad this morning which is worrying me slightly. Roll on 23 Dec :)

Pipbin · 06/12/2014 17:30

Want above my pube line is a solid as a rock. My belly can never be accused of being solid.

broodylicious · 06/12/2014 17:41

Welcome wolfySmile how fantastic that you'll be able to squeeze in your scan just before Christmas! Amazing timing! I'm with you on the worrying front about being pg after mc. I'm trying everything not to panic but it's so hard isn't it? I am taking every day as it comes and being grateful for every single time I get a wave of nausea or throw up then panic manically if i feel ok for a few hours!

BadIdeaBear · 06/12/2014 18:33

I noticed a bump two days ago and now I'm having to do the leggings below it for comfort. I saw those Jojo Maman bras today in the shop in town and nearly bought but didn't. Wish I had now. Since I went for the dafter purchase and bought a dress!

Had a class pg weep today - could have been so embarrassing as it was at my DSD's concert - their last piece was a very lovely piece of music - the piano part set me off first and then the sweet young voices finished me off!

BadIdeaBear · 06/12/2014 18:33

Keep forgetting to do this bit:

Toastandmarmiteallday · 06/12/2014 19:05

Just received our scan date - 7 Jan when I will be 13+1. Had hoped to sneak in before New Year (just desperate everything's ok rather than tell everyone) but pleased to finally have a date to look forward to. DM (forced) suggested a little look in Mothercare earlier and jeez babies don't come cheap! Still slightly in shock at the price of prams! Oh ladies where do you recommend for maternity wear? Had a look at some jeans in Mothercare but they all looked so short and only in one length - not a giant in any sense but would normally but a long leg. look forward to hearing your suggestions

scrivette · 06/12/2014 19:10

I am always cold too which is odd as I am never usually.

Have been sick four times today, not impressed! At least it is the weekend so I don't have to hope no one at work hears and guesses!

StoneBaby · 06/12/2014 19:16

toast for mat wear I use Next and Asos. For baby stuff, look at Gumtree or local fb selling pages. People sell very condition baby items for next to nothing (if you're happy to buy 2nd hand). Also Amazon is of a great help.

Toastandmarmiteallday · 06/12/2014 19:38

Funny you say that Stone just looking at Next and asos.Smile Probably a very stupid question but do you buy your normal size in maternity wear? Didn't think i'd need maternity bits quite so early but in love with my maternity bra (and bigger boobs) already and can't wait for a stretchy waistband!

TinyCaterpillar · 06/12/2014 19:47

Yeah normal sizes Toast most brands tend to come up quite big IME. I'm in jeggings/ leggings under bump already, can't cope with buttons any more!

Stone me too on the feeling cold front, I know it's cold outside! But I feel cold no matter what I do! Thought you were meant to get warmer when pregnant?!

I'm feeling sick again, joy! And just got no energy for anything, although I have had quite a full-on day. Need sleep now! SPD is definitely starting again too, really hope I can keep it under control this time.
