Had a rather un-original attempt at a new name! Hop across ladies!

Hoping the stats link works...

misseskimo Ok phew, I thought it was like a phantom belly haha!

TinyCaterpillar · 05/12/2014 16:31

Wow just caught up on everything - well done Fleur glad you sorted it out. Hope you're ok Blue and not long til your scan - at least the weekend should help take your mind off it. Want that sounds rubbish! It's so difficult to hide the pregnancy when stuff like that happens isn't it. Hope you're ok.

Bump wise I look pregnant from the side now. It's really bloody obvious - a proper bump that I can't suck in. I don't know if it's more noticeable as I'm very small? It was the same with the last one tho! I just go outwards Grin

On the good side, I haven't felt as sick today. Been very tired though. I really hope I might be coming out of the worst of the nausea as it's been relentless and it went by about 9w with my first. Fingers crossed!

8+0

misseskimo · 05/12/2014 17:11

Oh tiny I really hope mine goes at 9wks, but if anything mines got progressively worse from 8+ Sad

Bump was so uncomfortable today I had to unbutton my trousers under my desk! Thankfully I had a long tunic top on so it covered it, but OMG do I want my comfy pjs right now!!

I have a bump too - mostly afternoon onwards. I like it, it's cute

Fleurchamp · 05/12/2014 18:18

I have definite bloating today.

Off to the office Christmas do in an hour but I feel so sick Sad my usual remedies (toast and crisps) haven't worked either.

Currently trying to paint my nails but the smell of the nail Polish is making me heave Confused

Thepurplegiraffe · 05/12/2014 18:23

Want it depends if you trust your bosses but it might be worth telling them if you don't as you are much more protected legally once they officially know.

Zampa · 05/12/2014 18:33

I'm off to DP's Christmas do... Should have tried my frock on before leaving the house this morning as it's quite tight around the hips (although not the belly, oddly). Really don't fancy the food I chose a month ago so feeling altogether sorry for myself.

Fleurchamp · 05/12/2014 18:48

Ah zampa I feel your pain. I have been googling whether I can safely wear spanx Blush

I reeeeeally don't want to go. One of my good friends at work has just called to say she isn't coming now too. Waaaaaa.

Threeplus1 · 05/12/2014 18:53

Woohoo got my scan date through for 29th Dec when I'll be 12+2. So, all being well it'll be perfect for a New Year's announcement Grin

ignominious · 05/12/2014 18:59

Three plus I'm the same day Grin

smallgreenbanana · 05/12/2014 19:04

I managed half a day at work today. Go me! Grin I know what you all mean about not really getting much done over the last few weeks... My co-workers had been quite worried about me this week as I was off the whole week. Felt great to be back and see them all, but the train journey is a killer and now I feel almost as nauseous as I was before I started the pills. I've never wanted 3 weeks to go past so quickly before -- I really hope I start to feel better around 12 weeks!

Saw the midwife yesterday for booking, although was a bit panicky due to brown (3 days now) and also pain low down. However, I think I might have pubic symphysis disfunction rather than anything more sinister (I've got a long history of low back pain and poor pelvic stability). Have any of you ladies had that before in your pregnancies?

Looks like my scan will definitely be after Christmas.

Clothing starting to be quite uncomfortable around the tummy, although no particular bump (more than normal!). DH says my breasts looks huge. Hope no-one at work has noticed yet!

So pleased to share in all your journeys, ladies. Reading your experiences makes things so much more bearable! Flowers

smallgreenbanana · 05/12/2014 19:04

Oh, I made it to 9+0. Woo!

broodylicious · 05/12/2014 19:48

Eek! It's so exciting to hear about bumps starting to showGrin I've already caved at 7weeks and am in my maternity jeans (honestly though, most comfy jeans ever!)

Sorry to agree about sickness but mine got worse from about eight weeks and then continued until about 16 weeks! Remember though, it's a good sign that things are all good and that it's just temporary and when you're covered in baby sick at 130am, you'll be desperate for these days again! Wink

want, so sorry to hear about your dressing down at work today Thanks I personally wouldn't tell your bosses just yet but of course it's up to you and how you think the land may lie after they know - you know your bosses better than anyone. I remember having a similar telling off for crap performance when I was about eight weeks with dd and I ended up in tears in front of my boss and her boss' wife. I didn't say anything because the office was very clique-y and bitchy and no one could keep a secret (my boss was the worst, slagging off all and sundry to...er... All and sundry!) but you may have a more supportive environment. Hope you can have a good weekend to relax you a bit xxxx

StoneBaby · 05/12/2014 20:05

Babybrain is definately here. I prepared dinner and forgot to put the main ingredient in it! It was next to me!!!! DH is considering getting me admitted Grin

headlesschicken247 · 05/12/2014 20:08

Def got a bump here. Just going with loose tops at work. Plus I'm so busy I'm never at my desk!
Caved tonight and lit the fire as dh is out for drinks don't want to move but D's is wanted a bath. Hoping if I ignore him long enough he'll forget

itsnotthatdeep · 05/12/2014 20:17

im awake past 8pm does this mean the worst is over Grin

Ceejay14 · 05/12/2014 21:29

**Stone I did the same making biscuits the other day... Forgot the flour. They were hideous.

**Fleur, I was wondering about Spanx for Christmas party, what was the verdict?

TinyCaterpillar · 05/12/2014 22:47

small yeah I had SPD, it's awful. definitely speak to the midwife about it as it takes ages to get into the system for physio and by the time you need it, you might not be able to get an appt. See if they can give you a support belt they are a lifesaver, and just try not to do too much - that was the mistake I made. Take everything really slowly and stop as soon as you need to rest.

TinyCaterpillar · 05/12/2014 22:48

Oh and Ceejay I wore spanx for a job interview at 14w! And I could feel baby by then and she was not happy! But all was fine, it was mainly squashing flab at that stage!!

fattycow · 05/12/2014 23:45

Hormones are raging! I feel fat, but don't have any bump yet. I take weekly pictures and no change... Today I cried when my husband agreed to give me a back rub... And I get mad with the slightest provocation...

Fleurchamp · 06/12/2014 00:05

Yeah, spanx were fine but a bit uncomfortable by the end as my bloated stomach was sticking out had nothing to do with the all you can eat buffet

First ever work Xmas do sober. Not sure I want to do that again.... Although everyone else was blotto when I left so I doubt that anyone noticed that I didn't drink.

Never been so pleased to get home and into my pjs Grin

IBelieveInPink · 06/12/2014 08:13

small I had spd last time, and showing signs of it already again this time. Top tips;
Sleep with pillow between legs to keep hips aligned
No pushing heavy things trolleys/prams/hoovers.
No lifting heavy things
Limit walking as much as possible
Support belt
Keep legs together wherever possible... Not being cheeky- I mean when getting in and out if cars etc
Ask for help, and accept it wherever possible!

I had to ask friends for a reminder yesterday as I had forgotten some of that... Apparently early treatment helps a lot, so start all of that now.

broodylicious · 06/12/2014 08:18

Another former SPD sufferer here too small. It's bloody miserable so big sympathy if you're already suffering. I second everything that's been said already, main thing is to limit potential for increased pain. I remember walking up and down the stairs was the worst agony ever so I only did it at home twice a day, then used the disabled lift at work. Look after yourself xx

smallgreenbanana · 06/12/2014 08:43

Thanks tiny, IBelieve, broody that's really helpful to know. I will get right on it!

WantToGoingTo · 06/12/2014 09:36

Morning all, still wincing from yesterday's work fiasco. But was first Xmas do last night and felt loads better after unwinding :) have a meeting with different boss next week not sure if I will tell her or not - haven't even seen the midwife yet!

Re bumps, I have definite bloating - resorted to the hair tie trick with my jeans now - works pretty well! Also I read on internet that midwives can feel uterus at 7 weeks so had a bit of a pole about and can definitely feel somehow hard just above my knicker line! Hard to imagine it will get so muh bigger. Only 2 weeks left of work before I am off for Christmas yipppeeeeee
