Well sweep attempt #2 was a no-go... Midwife said I'm still not ready, although I've been losing plug all week and she says I'm showing really positive signs.
Not as positive as a baby coming out though...
I'm going to go in to hospital on Sunday and ask for only monitoring, give myself a maximum of two extra days and if nothing has happened by Tuesday I'll have to be induced and have baby in hospital. So I have 4 days to evict the child.
AIBU to want to shout "Get out of me now!!!!!!" at the child?!?!?
Good luck everyone else

Hotfuzzra you are well within your rights to give baby a little verbal encouragement! Lady that really made me laugh!
My DD(4) keeps saying 'come on out baby!' At my tummy, as does my sister!

Hello everyone I was due on 26th November. Just heard a pop and dashed out of bed. No gush of water but mucus plug coming away and some bloody show plus waters dribbling. Am thrilled as has been a long wait. Now too excited to sleep but will try soon x

Good news Loaf!
Ark I hope you've had some development?
I've woken up not needing the loo, and it occurred to me that this is the first time I haven't gone for a wee in the night for months. Is this the beginning of something? Losing plug since Sunday... 40+11 Angry

Pessary didn't work so had the tablet at midnight last night. Had some cramps but nothing properly. Utterly fed up now. Obviously just not meant to have this baby am I. I so so so don't want a section :(

hotfuzzra · 05/12/2014 07:56

Oh Ark don't worry just yet my love, you've still got some time. Cramps are good. I woke up with period pain and had more bleeding overnight so I'm taking it as good signs.
[holds hand through last few days while everyone else buggers off to post natal!!]

Ok maybe I jumped the gun a tad. Cervix is open by about a cm. had another tablet put in this morning and I'm having very little contractions. Slow progress but it's still progress!

I'm still here with you guys. Although I've had him I haven't made it over there yet and anyway, DS was 40+13 so I feel your frustration well. Ark, induction can be a waiting game. Nobody tells you that do they. Have a big hug. You're doing a fab job just hang on in there. As are the rest of you. And I may have been heard on the odd occasion verbally 'encouraging' the little monkey to get on with it, too. Xx

Hi, just to let you know that the baby strawberry arrived yesterday morning. DH was weighing 3,7 kg, all checks went well and she was breastfeeding straight away, so we were let home few hours later. She is really nice, strangely exactly like in 3D scan pictures from pregnancy.
Hope more baby news soon and we all can step over to antenatal thread x

It didnt 100% to the plan (water birth & hypnobirthing) bcs DD didnt turn her back to belly for hours, so I was for ages in the pool trying give birth. Only when they transfered us to the delivery unit she turned out of the angle. As I had been in MLU since 10pm till 6am and there was still long way to push out they decided to use ventose as were concerned i would not manage. That was the worst bit, still managed without pain management, epidurials etc and was quite amazed how efecive is water for killing pain, dont remember any discomfort from 8 hours in the birthing pool, unfortunately DD had decided bit different scenario for herself...

Any room over the other side?

DD was born at 12:30am. Narrowly avoided a section cause her heart beat dropped with every contraction. But she's here! 8lb 2 and feeding well already
