Hello! Congratulations ark and hotfuzz!
DD2 born today at home, weighing 11lbs 2oz and a back to back labour. I was 8cm when midwife arrived at 6am and got to full dilation before needing gas and air. Then it all went super intense as she was so big, it was hard to rotate her into a good position. Amazingly I didn't need any stitches! She's perfect and her big sister thinks so too!

What an exciting night! Congratulations Hotfuzz!! Your labour was as quick as mine- it's somewhat intense isn't it! Great news FlowersSmile

Congrats Ark!
Had mine overnight too, DD weighing 8lb7oz, very quick (2cm at 8pm, born at 0016!) with no time to fill the birth pool so had her squatting over the back of the sofa.
Smarts a bit doesn't it! So pleased we got to have her at home. We've had one feed and now we're crawling into bed (wishful thinking!)

Any room over the other side?

DD was born at 12:30am. Narrowly avoided a section cause her heart beat dropped with every contraction. But she's here! 8lb 2 and feeding well already

Hmmmm, it's very quiet on here...unless my phone's playing up of course. Hoping it's because you're all in labour!

It didnt 100% to the plan (water birth & hypnobirthing) bcs DD didnt turn her back to belly for hours, so I was for ages in the pool trying give birth. Only when they transfered us to the delivery unit she turned out of the angle. As I had been in MLU since 10pm till 6am and there was still long way to push out they decided to use ventose as were concerned i would not manage. That was the worst bit, still managed without pain management, epidurials etc and was quite amazed how efecive is water for killing pain, dont remember any discomfort from 8 hours in the birthing pool, unfortunately DD had decided bit different scenario for herself...

Hi, just to let you know that the baby strawberry arrived yesterday morning. DH was weighing 3,7 kg, all checks went well and she was breastfeeding straight away, so we were let home few hours later. She is really nice, strangely exactly like in 3D scan pictures from pregnancy.
Hope more baby news soon and we all can step over to antenatal thread x
