Thanks catsofa I thought it was a lovely idea (if I do say so myself) We weren't planning on finding out at all but we're spending so much money this year on the beanie, new car (for the beanie) our dog who has had some health problems that we weren't going to buy eachother christmas gifts and I thought this would be a nice alternative to a present! We're having both families to us for christmas dinner so we were then thinking of putting someone in each of the Grandma-to-be's crackers etc but we might just keep it to ourselves too!

That's weird you say that tiny when I heard it my first thought was a galloping horse type noise. I wasn't expecting it to sound like that!

Now the MW has planted the seed of it being a girl I'm dying to know. All along I've thought boy but have one girls name that keeps popping in to my head so who knows!

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 13:34

I used to call my DD 'my little pony' when she was a bump because of the HB sound

kismac · 13/11/2014 13:37

I've been told that they think it's a boy cause my boobs are massive. Ha ha. We're not planning on finding out, so everyone will just have to wait.

I think the baby likes the train. Lots of flutters on the way home yesterday. There were no seats this morning, so I just sat on the floor like a loon. Won't be able to do that for much longer or i won't be able to get back up. Ha ha.

Im tempted to post a bump pic but think I still just look fat. I can't wait until it looks properly formed.

17+4

catsofa · 13/11/2014 13:46

I want to get a girl's name chosen before we find out because if it's a boy then we won't choose a girl's name at all. Is that a bit nuts? Obviously if it's a boy we won't need a girl's name, but I'd like to know for sure what he would have been called if he'd been a girl. We have a boy's name chosen already.

Anyone know when Kate Middleton is due? If we ended up picking the same name as her I'd actually have to change ours, but I'm hoping she's due much earlier than us on 30th April.

Siarie · 13/11/2014 14:13

I think I'm going to add the Nuna Leaf rocker to my wish list, I've been looking at that or the 4moms rocker. I prefer the look of the Nuna leaf though as we have a really modern home.

Has anyone got one?

Siarie · 13/11/2014 14:15

I've got a feeling she's going to be due around my due date catsofa (27th), based on some of the media that's been released but we will have to wait and see.

I said to dh if she has hers before us we should copy the name Wink he said Noooo! with a really grumpy face like he thought I was actually serious! Dh was insistant he didn't want a Monarchs name or anything from the bible, so we have a James and a Luke!!! They didn't give her due date last time did they?

TheBooMonster · 13/11/2014 15:24

rofl neville a royal cervix graphic? I can't think they'd intervene if she went overdue unless it was by more than 10 to 14 days. I recon it's quite early in April, they'd have made sure she was as far through the first trimester as possible before announcing HG or no HG.

ladies my dreams are officially out of control... i men they've always been a bit vivid with a tendency towards the x-rated but the pregnancy hormones have definitely shot it up a notch! I can't remember from last time when that stops?!

cinnamon your DH didn't want a name from the bible, but you have a James and a Luke? You know they are BOTH biblical names, don't you?

Only new thing I'm worried about getting this time round is a double pram, which my mum has said she'd pay for. Only thing is the one I think I want is iCandy Peach Blossom, which is super duper expensive. So I'm going to try a few tandems out in John Lewis, then if I still want the iCandy, either get one from the Mother & Baby show as they're supposed to be discounted there, or off ebay/icandy facebook selling group.

Other thing worth mentioning is I bought both my breast pump and my sling last time using my Clubcard boost vouchers :-D. So worth checking the Tesco website if you have any clubcard vouchers! Although I do still want a couple of new slings for this time around.

My wardrobe/cot/changing table set was bought from the Mothercare summer sale, also the car seat from the kiddicare summer sale - hopefully they all do winter sales, too! x

Siarie · 13/11/2014 15:28

I think they announced the HG when she couldn't attend something though right? Hehe oh it's going to be fun we should place bets!

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 15:32

i just envy that she probably gets ALL the SCANS she wants!

BonjourMinou · 13/11/2014 15:33

Prince George was born on my birthday so I'm hoping her second one will be born on the same day as my second baby! - Yes, I'm sad, I know...

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 15:39

By the way this is really good to show what happens inside you and how SQUASHED the bladder is getting - and everything else

TheBooMonster · 13/11/2014 15:40

siarie she had already been absent from a couple of engagements or been swapped out and replaced with other royals a couple of times before that announcement though from what I recall... I could be wrong mind...

Yep BonjourMinou and James is a monarch's name too, he didn't do well there. The trouble is he doesn't like non traditonal names so you pretty much always have to have a monarch or something from the bible or both. He is the most difficult man to please with names, we got down to 3 that he would consider and one not really because it's his collegue and so would be weird! He tells everyone he chose Luke because of starwars and if we have a girl it's going to be Leia!

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 13/11/2014 16:38

bonjour I also liked the look of the icandy peach blossom (we don't have any other DC's but are hoping to have a relatively small age gap so we wanted to go for something that we can use for one DC for now then add to make a tandem) but DH's parents are buying it for and I couldn't possibly ask them to spend that much. We've found the babystyle oyster max which is really similar in looks to the icandy (lots of nice chrome, nice wheels) but literally less than half the price. It's lighter in weight that the icandy too which I found really heavy when test 'driving' in John Lewis. Might be worth a look? We're going for a lovely teal colour

mswibble · 13/11/2014 17:11

Speaking of regal names, I'm all of a sudden very keen on Elizabeth. Just love all the possible nicknames - Libby, Elli, Lilibet, Bette ...

We both like James too ...

CherryLips1980 · 13/11/2014 17:27

I hope I've just joined the right FB group! Blush Profile pic is a dark, murky pic of a rider (umm, me) on a horse, trotting.

Convo may have moved on, but... I desperately tried to BF DD, joined LLL, support groups, ate flapjacks, expressed as well as feeding but my boobs never changed size throughout the whole pregnancy which shocked all the support people I had helping me. They haven't this time either. I ended up with really high BP and I've been told by various MW during this pregnancy that despite nothing being 'official', they've heard a lot of anecdotal evidence that the medication I was put on (Labetalol) can stop milk production unless it is established. I was readmitted on day 5 cos of my BP so I wasn't anywhere near established with it. The hospital insisted DD went on supplementary formula (we went with Aptamil) as she had lost nearly a pound in those 5 days (and she wasn't big to begin with). I'm pretty determined to try and BF this one though....

Today has been pretty rubbish in that I got a parking ticket :-/ but the warden ended up being pretty reasonable and tried cancelling my ticket, but couldn't. So he told me to appeal it. I have, but I feel a bit guilty given I shouldn't have parked where I did, I just didn't see the sign.

CherryLips1980 · 13/11/2014 17:37

We haven't thought of any names yet.... I'm still convinced I'm having a boy. Was kind of hoping we might get away with not needing a tandem and I could sling/carry the new one and DD could stay in her pushchair but I'm not sure it'll work. We have a lot of hills where I walk the dog!

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 17:58

Added you Cherry

There is another request but don't know who from...

CherryLips1980 · 13/11/2014 18:19

Thank you TT!

Lauren82000 · 13/11/2014 18:44

Mswibble Elizabeth is my middle name. I find James is a good middle name as it kind of goes with most first names. It's just long enough without sounding like a mouthful. I always laugh at DH he got his dad's name as a middle name so he's Ross Ian but when you say it too quickly, it sounds like all one word very funny. Think id get away with not using his name as a middle name if we had a boy. He's not too egotistical although he does believe you should only get a middle name if it has some meaning to you. (DD got Ann as it both our mums middle name). He's the only one of his bros to have one too. (1of 3)

JaneyTea · 13/11/2014 19:18

tiny tear the other request is probably me. I did it whilst waiting to get called in for my flu jab and didn't get a a chance to mention it here.

Sore arm now Blush

cinnamongreyhound · 13/11/2014 19:20

I don't have a middle name and felt very deprived as a child so I wanted mine to have a middle name. Ds1 has my brothers first name and ds2 has my dads middle name as it was also my grandads middle name so feels a bit like a tradition.
