I'm getting pram envy ladies, I'm just using our Silvercross Surf that I stashed in the loft when DD was done with it. I'd love a new one but can't justify the price when I have one that is perfectly fine stored away.

I'm putting my money in a proper nursing chair (even if they are ass ugly), the cheap chair I had with DD is knackered the seat cushion is all lumpy and you can feel the wires that hold it all up. You can usually get most of your money back if you flog them on ebay later on so I'm not too bothered about the expense still a damn sight cheaper than a new pram!

Misty we have very similar bathroom tiles in our bathroom. My bump looks better looking down on it than from the side and I still haven't managed to get a decent shot of it. Might have to rope DH into taking a few for me.

Definitely got some good movement last night and this morning. I'd go so far to say they were soft kicks and pokes not just flutters and rolling. Grin
Still convinced my uterus is pretty high last night i was lying on my back and it was pretty much inline with my belly button! I'm only 17+1 that has to be bigger than it should be surely?

Has anyone seen any maternity dungarees on their travels? I saw some on the New Look website but I didn't want to pay £65 for what is essentially a pair of jeans?

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 10:29

dungarees? nooooooo why would I want to strip all the way in my 369 trips to the loo every day? Grin

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 13/11/2014 10:55

Just sent a friend request LittleLuna

ChickenMe · 13/11/2014 11:17

I like seeing the bump pictures and seeing the variety of sizes. Mine is huge and I was slim before! Will take a pic tomor as I have eaten now.
A nursing chair sounds interesting Lauren. I was planning to get a chair from IKEA with a foot stool. So looking forward to hopefully breastfeeding- one reason being that I can bugger off with the baby and hide away and two I think the ILs (very nice and well meaning must add) think they are taking baby out for the day/over night very early on. They are not and BFing is a good excuse not to!!

Lauren82000 · 13/11/2014 11:21

My toilet trips haven't been that frequent so it doesn't bother me too much.
Feeling pretty big today I'll make an effort to take a pic later.

I'm proper excited I ordered some canvas' for DH for Christmas and I pick them up today. Its a big one of us in the back of the car on our wedding day and a collage of our DD and cousins running around on the lawn in their bridesmaid dresses. I hope they look ok.

catsofa · 13/11/2014 11:26

Every time I've tried plucking nipple hair I've got ingrowing hairs, which is so horrific I won't ever try again. They sprout from round the outside of the areola so I'd imagine are right where they will annoy the baby, I dunno. I guess if it were ever a problem then I'd have heard advice, I'm just really self conscious about them - it's one of very few things I'd change about my body if I could.

Incidentally, Areola is a pretty name for a girl, don't you think? Wink

Re: dungarees I've been using braces, they keep up any trousers at all and I just unclip the clip at the back to pee, totally comfortable as I don't need any pressure around the waistband. £5 in Primark or £2.99 on ebay

mswibble · 13/11/2014 11:33

lauren I've been stalking nursing/glider chairs on eBay but always missed out on the nice ones at a good price. You might be luckier than me.
My Mum and Dad are getting a new three piece suite next month so I'm nabbing their armchair to use instead. Its an IKEA Ektorp I think and its a recliner which I'm pleased about. Just going to get a new cover for it as its dark blue, i've seen a cream washable one I like.

Haha tiny tear! I can see the appeal of dungarees, at least I would have to keep pullung them up! I was seriously wondering whether I could buy some braces and secretly attach them to my jeans! My old jeans make me look like a homeboy as they will only fasten if pulled down round my hips, but my maternity ones keep talking down!

TheBooMonster · 13/11/2014 11:33

cringes nooooooo dungareeeeesss!!!!! they're my pet hate! DH has a pair and he's been clever enough not to wear them in case I set them on fire with him in them, but they're still there... looking at me from the clothes rail... I've put a blanket ban on people buying them for DD...

Bump will sleep in the crib in our room, then either join DD in her room or go into the spare room if it's ever emptied out of crap that needs to be in the loft also over my dead body either way in a cot. we never used a moses basket, but DD spent the first couple of nights at home in the carry cot part of the pram because we weren't expecting her quite so early and everything else was half way across the country!

Ooh catsofa great minds think alike! I'm planning on nipping into the big Manchester Primary tomorrow so will have a search for them. Take it they are in the men's section? I don't recall them having 'that awkward inbetweeny stage where nothing fits' section!

cinnamongreyhound · 13/11/2014 11:58

I didn't buy anything new with either of mine apart from a mattress my nursing chair was and still is fab Lauren82000, was £65. Pushchair lasted until ds2 was 3 months then it became very difficult to fold and lived in our car so had to get a new (to us) one. I love dungarees and pregnancy is the only real excuse to wear them but didn't find any when pregnant before.

Re bump mine is horrible and ridiculous! A friend visited the other day and said she'd never seen one like it! It's literally all above my belly button when the baby is all below and because of my saggy skin left from being much heavier I have a kind of shelf, luckily clothes hide that bit well! When I lay down I have a lovely little bump where it should be and the top but disappears. Was very similar shape with ds's though.

I put dungarees in my kids until they don't go up to their size which I find is usually 3, so cute TheBooMonster!

This time next week I'll have seen my baby and hopefully know the sex too :)

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 11:58

Ah Boo, dungarees are adorable for young ones, but of course once they are potty trained they stop being so!

lila35 · 13/11/2014 12:06

I love dungarees on little people!!!

Had our 20 weeks scan and we have a boy!!! Such a relief, I am celbrating with a bag of crisps!!

We are very lucky and a close friend is lending us her nursing chair and matching rocking foot rest, its the most comfortable thing ever!!

Hi all,

Wow I forgot how quickly this thread moves which I think is partly why I fell off it a bit last time - after a few days away I couldn't keep up!

I'm with you on the dungarees tiny but I'm all about the comfort at the moment - my sense of style is coming in second.

I too am definitely keeping an eye out for a second hand nursing chair after trying one out in Kiddicare. Wow they are comfortable!

We heard beanies hb on Tuesday, 150bpm and MW said 'ooh sounds very girly to me!' Really?! Is this possible? We're not finding out the sex at the scan but are considering asking the sonographer to write it down in an envelope for us so we can open it in bed on Christmas morning :-)

Congrats lila!

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 12:38

Old wives tales say if it sounds like a horse galloping it's a girl... If a train it's a boy...

Squidge14 · 13/11/2014 12:55

Hi all,

Can I join please? I was on the very first thread but they move so fast!
I'm 16+3 due 27th April, first bubba :)

I have also joined the FB group as I will be able to keep up easier on there I think! profile pic is of me and OH, he is in a tux and I'm in a blue lace dress. or easier still to identify me my cover photo is 2 horses looking over a hedge!

Hope everyone is doing ok, it's lovely to see all the bumps and hear the sexes. I really don't want to find out what we are having but OH does! Although seeing all your posts is making me itch a bit! I'm convinced it's a boy and had a dream about giving birth on the 1st May to a boy!

I can't wait for my 20wk scan on 10th Dec then we can start buying all the bigger bits and pieces, I'm so excited to decorate the nursery, even if they won't be in it for a while!

cinnamongreyhound · 13/11/2014 12:58

Cor you know to celebrate lila35 Wink congratulations on your son Thanks

They say it depends on which end of the scale it's OneDayLikeThis2013, although I can't remember which way round! Usual range is 110-160 so 140 is towards the higher end so I guess that's why she's guessing.

cinnamongreyhound · 13/11/2014 12:59

X post Squidge14, welcome back :)

catsofa · 13/11/2014 13:00

asking the sonographer to write it down in an envelope for us so we can open it in bed on Christmas morning

OMG that's a brilliant idea! I might suggest we do this once I find out where we're actually going to be for xmas.

I've had most people say they think I'm having a girl but I think they think that's what I want to hear!

Squidge14 · 13/11/2014 13:15

thanks everyone! I'll try to keep up a little more this time round Grin
