People you don't even know at all do so people who don't know you very well is to be expected lila35!! People don't think and sometimes are just trying to be conversational I think. I ran with a friend and our dogs this morning and she brought along a friend who told me how tiny I am, I've met her twice before at the end of parkrun but otherwise she doesn't know me. I'm pretty thick skinned but I was, compact shall we say, in my other pregnancies and got used to people asking if my baby was growing ok Shock I measured at least 2 weeks over at every mw appt and had quite big babies so didn't worry but that could really upset some mums.
I love the idea that everyone has an average picture in their mind of a pregnant woman at each stage of pregnancy to compare you to Wink

Make sure you sit down when you need to Lauren82000, I have low blood pressure and once was sure I could make it to where I wanted to go, didn't and when I came round from fainting had an extremely painful foot, turned out I broke 3 metatarsals! Take care Flowers

Misty everything I've bought in my size online has been too big. I really need to try stuff on in a shop. DH won't come to mothercare with me and I don't want drive all the way there by myself. Sad

Rustyzilla · 23/11/2014 11:40

cinnamon just wanted to echo what others have said re your Wednesday appointment, best that the docs are over cautious and you are thoroughly checked out. It may really put your mind at rest and turn out to be a good thing, IYSWIM. Flowers

wine congrats on your scan. Are we the only ones on team surprise so far?

lila that's a cute bump!

Having a lazy day today after a busy week at work and entertaining yesterday. Feel like I could sleep for England! And spa day next Saturday courtesy of my DH! Grin

Wineandchoccy · 23/11/2014 11:54

rusty you lucky thing, what a lovely DH spoiling you. I think we are the only ones on team surprise.

I am very tired today went Christmas shopping yesterday and it was busy, hot in the shops, cold outside and not an enjoyable experience. Next year I am doing everything online.

We are dismantling the double bed in the baby's room today we were going to take it to the tip nearer the time but a friend of my brothers is moving next week and asked if anybody has any furniture they don't want or need so seemed a good way to give it a new home.

Lauren82000 · 23/11/2014 12:04

I'm on team surprise too can't convince DH to find out and I'm not really that bothered would just be nice to know so I can get the baby clothes sorted but I need to sort it all anyway so it can go to the charity shop if it needs too. Both still convinced it's another girl. DH confessed he hadn't even contemplated the possibility it could be a boy. Smile

smogsville · 23/11/2014 12:24

Off to find out boy/ girl this afternoon! Will keep you all posted.

Wineandchoccy · 23/11/2014 12:33

I've updated the stats thread with boy/girl/surprise info, sorry if I have missed anybody off the list.

cinnamongreyhound · 23/11/2014 13:34

Link in case anyone has lost it :)

CherryLips1980 · 23/11/2014 13:37

Hope everyone is having a good day. We've just waved my parents off and just getting ready to get the train to London Grin only there for a couple days but I love being a tourist in London. Want to take DD to Hamleys!

Lauren82000 · 23/11/2014 15:15

Had a really good movement day today sat and watched the kicks pop out. Very cool definitely the best bit about being pregnant. Even felt up to dtd before and no spotting so maybe it was the position we were in last time. Blush

BananaToast · 23/11/2014 18:01

I haven't seen my belly move yet but feeling it more every day. Little one is difficult and never does it when I want though - sat for ages earlier hoping for a kick, tried all different positions and nothing. Then sit down later today and it's really active! I sense this is a sign of things to come - non-cooperative child! Lovely feeling the movement though, really makes it seem real.

kismac · 23/11/2014 18:13

My stomach really hurt yesterday. Kept getting sharp pains and had to pee so many times. I think it was the baby turning cause I now have a hard bump high on the left whereas before I could feel it low down on the right. Naughty baby! I want it to turn back cause it's now uncomfortable. Ha ha.

smogsville · 23/11/2014 18:29

It's a boy! V conclusive according to the sonographer this afternoon! Slightly over the shock now and arguing about names.

BonjourMinou · 23/11/2014 18:35

Wooh! Congratulations, smogsville It seems the boys are overtaking the girls! Flowers

daholster · 23/11/2014 18:52

Congratulations smogsville!!! We were team surprise last time but have decided to find out this time. I loved the surprise (especially since I was convinced dd was a ds!) But I think this time it will be nice to prepare for it and be able to at least try to prepare dd. Though at age 2 I doubt she'll actually really care what sort it is!!! I might have stayed team surprise but hubby is keen to find out this time - in large part to avoid having to choose two sets of names! He hates choosing names - and since I'm not bothered and can see some perks of knowing (eg potential early shopping Grin ) I have agreed to find out. Quite looking forward to it, so long as all is well.

You guys have made me realise that because I am about a stone and a bit heavier than last time I probably won't see my lo's kicks this time like I did last time and that makes me sad. I must lose some weight Sad

Since shopping on weds I have pain right lower back and shooting into my leg when I get up and start to walk or grander weight between feet, it makes me limp! It happened a bit last time and I think towards the end I thought it was mild SI dysfunction. I did Pilates which helped a bit, I'd best get the ball out already!!! It could be my back though. To do with all these loose ligaments either way I'm sure! If it's not gone by my obstetrician appointment on Thursday then I will mention it.

My lo is big enough to press my bladder. It's that weird sensation as if they are moving then that sudden increasing need for a wee over about 10-15secs when it must be standing on my bladder!!! Smile

daholster · 23/11/2014 18:53

*transfer, not grander!

cinnamongreyhound · 23/11/2014 18:59

I think you'd have to be pretty overweight not to daholster, I was 5 1/2st heavier and saw both of mine moving.

Congratulations Smogsville!! Did the sonographer not show you? I've seen with all three of mine and it's clearly willy shaped Wink

daholster · 23/11/2014 19:10

Thanks cinnamon. That makes me feel happier. I still wish I could get the motivation to slim down. I have resolved to myself that by next Christmas I will have the body I used to, be toned and not be pregnant (preparing for my next op) so I can drink!!! 3 low alcohol Christmases in a row, it would be nice to have nice Christmassy glass of Baileys!

Lauren82000 · 23/11/2014 19:13

I heard a rumour that my hospital doesn't tell you the gender even if you ask. After a run of getting it wrong they decided to change their policy and just not say anything.
Good job we are team surprise!

Well ladies I've just hopped on the scales and I've almost gained a stone! Just a pound off. Can't say I noticed a difference anywhere but my bump and boobs. Will have to ask DH if he noticed if there was more to grab of my bum. I am now within the correct bmi for my height and age, yay! Was a bit underweight to start with so I've just ate what I wanted and snacked loads, it's really paid off. Well chuffed. Just got to try not to gain more than another stone before the end. Only went up 2 stone with DD.

TheBooMonster · 23/11/2014 19:15

grats Smogsville

keep getting dreams where I can see whole arms or legs (or faces!) poking out of my bump, makes the subtle little kicks I'm getting seem tame :P Though taking all the dreams I'm having about successfully breast feeding as a good sign! Just wondering how prophetic the dreams about bump being a boy are or just how seeped in desperation they are guys I'll know at Thursday's scan!

Movements are giving me a whole bunch of stress that I don't remember from last time, went most of the weekend with nothing monstrous baby was sending me into a serious panic complete with crying down the phone at a midwife but finally this evening I got a few little kicks, so I guess baby was just in the wrong position for me to be able to feel the kicks... am now celebrating with veggie cheese bake things whilst waiting for the all important chips.

They do like to hide sometimes Boo. Some days I get only 1 or 2 kicks but this weekend baby has been particularly active and thrashing about a bit which is why I've been able to see it as well as feel it. Although as soon as I grab someone else's hands the little bugger stops doing it dance. Typical! Hmm

BananaToast · 23/11/2014 20:15

Lauren I wish I was embracing the weight gain like you!

I wasn't overweight to start with (BMI of 19-20) but am always conscious of not putting on weight as I seem to do so easily. I've put on 6lb so far - seems to have shot up this week - and worried how much I will put on if it continues at this rate! Aiming to put on the low end of recommended so I don't have lots to lose afterwards, but have no idea whether I'll achieve that or go way over. All a bit daunting!

18+6

Lauren82000 · 23/11/2014 20:31

It took me 6months to put on half a stone before I got pregnant, which I lost after a week of not having a snack in the afternoon. I'm just one of those that is predisposed to be thin. Not always a good thing as I get colds worse and longer than everyone else. I'll be quite happy not to drop the baby weight as fast as I did last time. I want to keep some for a while at least.

cinnamongreyhound · 23/11/2014 20:40

Haven't heard from dancestomyowntune in a while, hope you're just lurking and all is well :)
