Just Shagging Grads thread 15: Join the viroids for mucus plugs and ball bouncing

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 15th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2230396-Remember-Remember-JS-in-November-no-to-bum-fun-car-shagging-and-worms-Control-your-stray-wombles-and-windy-boobs-Shout-WANKBADGERS-at-the-world-of-TTC-and-get-your-cape-on-for-JUST-SHAGGING-32 here] in its 32nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/1472763-Just-Mumming-Along-viroids-2?pg=36&order= here] for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I'll definitely take part in the scanxiety trio! It'll be my 20 week scan but I'm really scared still about growth etc!

Sorry for those arguing with DP and having money stresses. There's nothing worse! Ill be having to go back sooner than I wanted and we can't move into a 3 bedroom house until I go back either. So baby will be in with me and DP until we move! Not ideal but certainly not the worst that could be thrown at us!

BothersomeB · 19/11/2014 15:08

Maaaaan - how bad would it be to have a second coffee today? Can barely keep my eyes open...

freshstart4us · 19/11/2014 15:13

Bother I am currently having my second cup of tea, a second cup of coffee will be FINE. I believe the concern with caffeine is mostly about reducing birth weight, one day of slightly higher intake is not going to be an issue!

FWIW my mother drank tea INCESSANTLY - around 10 cups a day at some points - throughout all of her SIX pregnancies. My brothers all weighed between 7lb and 9lb. I was 10lb 3oz. Shock Caffeine obviously not an issue there!

BothersomeB · 19/11/2014 15:16

tee - can't believe you don't read every word of my drivel wisdom! You must be doing alright anyway, if you can afford to pay your MiL's salary too! Wink

Oddly, we had the mat pay/work conversation last night too...thinking about whether we could afford for me to be off for a year - looks like that answer is no, since there would be a big fat £0 for the last 3 months. Think boys just suddenly feel the pressure of being the only breadwinner and having to be all grown up and responsible. In my mind, if it makes him feel better to talk about it now, so be it - it's just theoretical right now - there's loads of time to change minds when actual reality kicks in!

ChatEnOeuf · 19/11/2014 15:17

What a chatty lot you are today. Congratulations Min!

Sorry about the money arguments Sad they get me down too. DH in a moment of madness was heard to grumble that my mc in March had 'cost us' thousands of pounds in lost maternity pay (me not working is a big sting in the wallet right now). He got short shrift for that one and had I have owned a red hot poker we wouldn't be upduffed now. Hope he comes to his senses, tee and as for his mother..!

Lauren it's just so overly dramatic about stuff that occurs several times a shift, though I'm sure the panic is mostly cameraman driven rather than staff-driven, otherwise they'd all be off with stress every other week! Hope you're feeling more human soon - I can't take dispersible tablets, they made me hurl when I'm well so I can't imagine taking them now. Can you not get real tablets?

Hope the move goes well Bother, better do it now than a 35 weeks - voice of experience here :)

I can see that's fair, Mountain. At least your online booking saved you from seriously considering a fast scan!

Fresh I too am looking a little more rotund than usual...probably the sheer volume of cheese crackers I'm getting through. Two-hourly feeds seem to be what the womble-lodger needs right now, so that's what it's getting.

La definitely worth getting your bra size checked - mine changed v quickly. Do sit up straight though, keeps your tummy toned which becomes important later :)

ChatEnOeuf · 19/11/2014 15:20

Epic catch-up meant I missed posts...a second cup of tea/coffee is fine. I think I'm officially allowed five cups of tea a day, and given I'm missing that fruit and veg target, I'm going to have more tea. I probably make myself three or four a day and drink about half of each one - they have to be scalding hot or they make me sick what doesn't?

freshstart4us · 19/11/2014 15:36

Chat my womble lodger is probably a hobbit too, needing to eat frequently and in volume. I have now eaten FOUR jam donuts and as you can probably all tell from my CAPSLOCK SHOUTING I am now sugared up and feeling grand! Grin (Damn Sainsbury's multipacks!)

teejayem · 19/11/2014 15:55

I stupidly finished my twix stash at lunch and didn't go out for more supplies. There's a sorry looking box of chocolate fingers in our office that I am stealth demolishing...
I could murder a doughnut or something cakey.

ZylaB · 19/11/2014 16:09

Well after horrible motorway stupidness today we've decided tea will be pizza! Yay, I'm already planning one with a frankfurter stuffed crust and a garlic butter base, but DH won't be home until maybe 7 :(

BothersomeB · 19/11/2014 16:15

So bored I'm actually doing my pelvic floor exercises...there should so be an emoticon for that face Hmm

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 16:17

I had a cookie. It was double chocolate and it was nice

teejayem · 19/11/2014 16:36

If I over-tone it makes my foof ache Blush although that whole area feels kind of heavy at the moment.....

I've got so many biscuits and snackies at home. And i've got 55 minutes left. waa!

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 16:55

I'm finished! Hooray! Off to visit my horsey

teejayem · 19/11/2014 17:15

16 minutes, and then the public transport gauntlet....

laurenamium · 19/11/2014 17:53

Oh have fun horse visiting la! Envy That's the best type of visit!

Very jealous of all of the takeaways and treats. 2 days before pay day here and Christmas shopping means its cupboard food only in this house Sad

RPopz · 19/11/2014 18:43

Aw, have fun with your horsey La

I'm home with a cuppa and pack of digestives. I'm having extra caffeine today too cos it's that kinda day!!

Sneezebirth alert on Hollyoaks. Second in as many weeks!! Wish I lived there Wink

wilmabedrock · 19/11/2014 19:23

The most shocking thing of everything said today is the fact you watch Hollyoaks Popz.Shock Grin

Congratulations Min. That'll make life so much easier for you with a baby.

Money issues are crap. We'll be struggling after I stop work but not sure what options I really have at the moment. Going to need to tighten our belts considerably.

RPopz · 19/11/2014 19:31

Haha, I can't be a hardnosed science bitch all day long Wink I watch Hollyoaks... AND then I watch first look Hollyoaks on E4 Grin

TheBooMonster · 19/11/2014 20:42

argh pis sorry about the bathroom leak, that sounds like fun!

Money issues are seriously crap, we had to have a proper sit down with a spreadsheet go through the finances a few weeks ago which has made things easier, basically I have to not take the house account out when I pop to the city and we have to order else take outs, and we managed to wrangle space in the budget for a few treats (mostly for me) DH and I are luckily pretty much on the same page about when I'd go back to work, going to get my 39 weeks paid Maternity Allowance and then if I can't find another job in that time go back to work with my tail between my legs whilst desperately looking elsewhere, but as it will basically be xmas by then loads of places should be looking for staff!

I'm feeling lots of teeny kicks tonight, turns out even though meat makes me feel yucky curry is apparently a winner with bump. also 8 days to go till my 20 week scan!!!!!!! gets excited enough to pee I should finally know whether I'm having a girl or a boy!!

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 20:48

I used to love holly oaks! I stopped watching when I went travelling and never got back into it.

Horsey was beeyooootiful! I miss him so much :( he's in a lovely loan home but it's so hard to be a visitor and leave him behind. He gave me lots if licks

Today I've eaten onion rings, double chocolate cookie, milkybar and came home to find dh had made cookies. I am fat

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 20:49

boo that's very exciting!!

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 20:51

I also went through finances today. I'm the higher earner.

Our maternity package is shite I have 6 weeks 90% pay then 26 weeks statutory. Can tack on my annual leave at either end. Takes me up til baby is 9 months so I guess id have to go back to work then as we can't afford not to

HungryHorace · 19/11/2014 21:01

La, where are you? In the UK? If so, you will get the statutory amount of 6 weeks at 90% and 33 at SMP. Your employer can't vary that.

Obviously if you aren't, then ignore me!

Well done on passing your test, Min. I couldn't imagine taking my test now. I passed 20 years' ago (sob!).

I go back to work on 2nd Jan. So close now. :-(

Dulcet, I know twin mummies who didn't have sickness, by the way! :-)

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 21:06

Oh! I thought it was 33 minus the 6 weeks! That's me reading it wrongly, doh! Thanks Horace :)

Pisghetti · 19/11/2014 21:10

Our enhanced maternity package is pretty good but if I don't go back (or leave/get sacked within twelve months of returning) I have to repay all the extra so I'll definitely be going back! I would have to anyway - mine and DP's household finances are separate so I am effectively the sole earner in my own home. With holidays, I'll have just over 10 months off with baby.

Hollyoaks is strictly hangover tv!
