Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 15th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2230396-Remember-Remember-JS-in-November-no-to-bum-fun-car-shagging-and-worms-Control-your-stray-wombles-and-windy-boobs-Shout-WANKBADGERS-at-the-world-of-TTC-and-get-your-cape-on-for-JUST-SHAGGING-32 here] in its 32nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/1472763-Just-Mumming-Along-viroids-2?pg=36&order= here] for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Ooh check you out Horace with your scientific knowledge! How exciting!

Mountain I don't know what to say. Hope everything is ok. It would be perfectly normal to have no symptoms. Also think maybe check for a cancellation?

ChatEnOeuf · 19/11/2014 08:46

Oh pis what an absolute nightmare! Hope you can get it repaired easily.. Possibly you were rather distracted last night and so didn't feel movement. Glad Pislet is active now, but please don't ignore quiet babies!

Twins hmm, Dulcet that would be lovely! I was constantly sick for the couple of weeks I had symptoms with mine...

La! Embrace the sickness, you'll be moaning about it soon :) Did I mention how tired I am of it now? Wink

Mountain I'm glad he has realised what a complete fool he was. Can you get an on-the-day appt? Or call up EPU and use the 'I wouldn't normally abuse my staff status, but...' line? I've only done it once but it was bloody worth it.

Miracle babies is annoying. Disclaimer: insider's view Wink

laurenamium · 19/11/2014 08:46

I'm liking predictions based on science Horace Grincan't argue with science dulcet Wink

Pisghetti · 19/11/2014 08:47

Oooh twins!

Thanks for the advice viroids. I may well give the insurance company a miss and read the T&Cs more carefully when I come to renew.... it's the first time I've had buildings insurance. Never needed it before.

I had a similar issue with car Popz. A guy reversed into the front of my car while I was waiting to pull out of a junction. It took forever to explain the scenario to them! Although the guy admitted liability at the scene, he then changed his story when the insurance companies got involved (three stories came out eventually as it happens) and took months to admit liability by which time I was massively out of pocket as I'd had to cover the repair costs up front and hire a car while mine was off the road. Fucker Angry eventually it was a no-blame claim on my part but my insurance premiums still went up.

Mountain you must be furious! Hope there's some way you can get in sooner x

I might go home. I feel sick and bleurgh. I have meetings from 10-11.30 so I'm wondering if I should hang on for those (by which time I may as well stay for the rest of the day) or cut my losses and cancel my attendance.

laurenamium · 19/11/2014 08:47

Oh why is it annoying for an insider chat? I admit to watching it and making DP watch it

Pisghetti · 19/11/2014 08:49

It was Wil that was worried about movement Chat but I am so using Pislet from now on Grin

DulcetMoans · 19/11/2014 09:16

Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure. I've not even been sick yet! Would be sods law though, wait this long to finally get one to stick and then find out there's two in there! Wouldn't call them Burt and Ernie like in Eastenders...

Are the meetings that important pis? I spend my working life in meetings and half of them are pointless!

BothersomeB · 19/11/2014 09:31

I'd bloody love to have twins! I'll be 41 in Feb and always wanted more than one, so worried about running out of time...what are the actual chances of twins though?

DulcetMoans · 19/11/2014 09:46

I don't know. There is something genetic about the chances of twins, isn't there? I have twin cousins on my mums side but that's it. Is it that one type of twins can be genetic and another, identical I think, aren't? Or have I made that up?

I had another poo this morning. I am counting each one as an achievement at the moment!

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 09:59

I think if you're over 40 chance if twins is meant to increase? I'd live twins coz then I could have my two babies in one job lot! Hee hee!

Work is dull.

DulcetMoans · 19/11/2014 10:09

Agreed. I am refreshing this page a lot...

BothersomeB · 19/11/2014 10:25

Work is pointless. At our company meeting this morning when the boss asked me if there was any marketing news, I had an almost overwhelming urge to shout 'yes, I'm having a baby!'...but actually just muttered 'no, not really' and scuttled off to refresh MN again...

BothersomeB · 19/11/2014 10:30

Ooo - an advantage of being an old preggo bird...twins! There are twins on Mr B's side, but I've read that because the genetic thingummy related to twins is about 'hyper ovulation' i.e. releasing more than one egg at a time, it's only passed down on the woman's side...it's the same reason older Mum's are more likely to have twins - you release more eggs at a time as you get older...thank you Dr Goofle! Apparently if you're very tall and/or have a high BMI you're more likely too...is it too late to use that as an excuse to eat more? Grin

Nessalina · 19/11/2014 10:35

Having twins are actually higher than you'd expect - 1 in 80 births is twins. But then the stats are a bit skewed by IVF babies where the chances are way higher. My friend had her Twins naturally but all the other mums in her twin NCT group were IVF mums!

Wil - thank goodness squirming has recommenced. Change of routine for them? Maybe they've moved from transverse, does it feel different?

La - there's no pleasing you! Grin One night you were up worrying about lack of symptoms, the next night you were worrying about feeling sick! Wink
Are used to get a bit nauseous in the night sometimes, very annoying.

Pis - if you can get away with going home I say go home! Smile

Mountain - it silly that you have to see the doctor before you see the midwife, have you tried speaking to reception and letting them know about your concerns? You might be able to self refer by ringing the community midwives directly? We need to get your booking appointment soon or your scan dates will take forever!

mountaingirl01 · 19/11/2014 10:37

I have quite high chances for twins - mum is a twin and dh was Shock don't think there are two embys in there though, I'd probably be feeling something from the hcg by now not sure there is anything in there at the moment

I tried the GP again today, even cried on the phone to the receptionist, but no go. Apparently I have to see a partner. This is ridiculous why can't I self refer to the mw?? feeling very low today.

chat I'm trying to not let anyone in my hospital find out just yet as I'm hoping for a permenant contract before I tell them I'm going to be wanting mat leave feel a bit mean doing this If I were on a night shift in resus in the next two weeks I would be getting the fast scan out, but los I'm not rostered on for the next month

mountaingirl01 · 19/11/2014 10:37

argh *permanent

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 10:38

Nooooo I wasn't worrying about feeling sick, just found it really interesting and wondered if anyone else got it Smile where you feel sick lying down but then it goes away when you get up. Wasn't moaning, promise! If I'm nauseous I know it's still there Smile I'm not moaning about any of my symptoms (except arse rain) coz I'm so grateful

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 10:39

:( that's rubbish mountain.

Pisghetti · 19/11/2014 10:43

Meetings cancelled, in bed with a cup of tea Smile I feel a bit better already.

1 in 80 natural conceptions results in multiples. Older women and women with non-identical twins in their family are more likely to have non-identical twins since they're conceived from two separate eggs (more than one egg per ovulation is more common in older ladies and those genetically predisposed to it). There's no genetic link to identical twins. My dad has a twin sister and I have twin cousins on my mum's side so my chances are slightly higher - but only singletons to date. Phew!

Congrats on your poo Dulcet Grin

Haha Bother that would have livened up the meeting!!

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 10:46

I really wish you'd done that bother! That's one way to tell!

pis feel better soon!

Glad your feeling better Lauren Smile

Pisghetti · 19/11/2014 10:48

Oops slow typing there... That's really crap mountain Sad at my GP I had to give a urine sample which was sent away for testing and then the GP would refer to the MW if positive. I have no idea if mine tested positive or not as I found the community midwife's number from the health board website and she agreed to see my anyway. Can you try circumventing the surgery?

RPopz · 19/11/2014 11:08

Hooray for poos Dulce!

Everyone said I was having twins cos our bfp was so early... Was almost disappointed to only see one bean in there at the scan... (despite convincing myself there'd actually be nothing there!!!) Hmm Def no pleasing some people Grin

BothersomeB · 19/11/2014 11:40

So, our branded company chocolate advent calendars just arrived...being the Marketing Manager I have had to check the print quality inside the windows as well as the outside...which means the chocolates were laid bare...I wouldn't be doing my job properly if I didn't also check that the lindt chocolates taste OK too, right? I've eaten my way to 12th December already... Blush

freshstart4us · 19/11/2014 11:49

Hello viroids! Sorry to butt in, but it's Wednesday, and I've been trying to read back from the weekend since Monday, I'm only now up to page 18 of your very chatty 24, will catch up eventually but I guess at this stage I'm more a lurker than a chatter. You lot are hilarious and keeping me sane btw!...xx

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 11:56

Ooh bother do you need any help?

Forgot to congratulate you on your poo dulcet!
