Just Shagging Grads thread 15: Join the viroids for mucus plugs and ball bouncing

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 15th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2230396-Remember-Remember-JS-in-November-no-to-bum-fun-car-shagging-and-worms-Control-your-stray-wombles-and-windy-boobs-Shout-WANKBADGERS-at-the-world-of-TTC-and-get-your-cape-on-for-JUST-SHAGGING-32 here] in its 32nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/1472763-Just-Mumming-Along-viroids-2?pg=36&order= here] for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I just changed my bed sheets and then had chocolate cake in bed. Wasn't my wisest move...

BothersomeB · 18/11/2014 20:39

zyla - Thanks for the nifty info - think I'll ask the clinic about the gender thing before going so we know what the options are. dulcet Envy of freebie. Costing us for hundred bloody quid!

fleur - we chose a private nifty because I'm an oldie and the risks increase significantly after 40 Confused we didn't want to wait longer than we have to to learn about any problems, and as zyla said, the tests are more accurate than others that are more readily available. Apparently they're planning to roll out out across the nhs - just not in time for us!

cookie - yes, it is bedtime... half past in fact Smile

Leela5 · 18/11/2014 21:27

Oh no, furry, how frustrating for you! Really glad bp ok but hope baby furry comes out to meet you soon.

Aww zyla that's lovely that it all went well. Also that you got to hear the heartbeat after your worry the other day.

Oh mountain that's crap I'm so disappointed for you!! Is there no way you could get a cancellation?

Yeah min mon! Seriously easy going...

Ooh I do like a nice Linda McC sausage!

The cake was a fairy cake with buttercream and jam inside. I ate the top to it, scooped out the buttercream and then 'saved' myself by putting in my desk bin. Five minutes later I fished it back out and ate half of it.

I'm no longer ashamed, I'd do it again!

Hopefully I'll have two scans between now and Christmas to add to the bumper scan brigade. Is NIFTY the same as the combined screening test? I've got bloods being taken in week 10, then Combined test and scan in week 11-13.

I agree totally about getting no work done during first tri! I'm waiting for someone to tell me off at work for sitting MN-ing on my phone.

I'm watching How to Train Your Dragon 2 - woohoo!

RPopz · 18/11/2014 21:34

NIFTY is a genetic test. Combined screening is just a risk calculation that takes into account some pregnancy hormone levels and the nt measurement. High risk counts as anything less than 1/200, then they'd offer CVS... etc. Nifty/ harmony bypasses all of that.

DulcetMoans · 18/11/2014 21:40

Sorry to make you ?? bother. I know we are lucky here but it is meant to roll out wider.

I'm 6+4 today wil. Can't self refer here, need to see GP. Will get it sorted.

Did anyone see you fish the cake out if the bin while MNing la? Haha. Might get hauled in for discipline.

Hope you are relaxing furry!

Watching miracle babies, not sure this was wise.

wilmabedrock · 18/11/2014 21:50

As long as there are happy endings Dulcet. I have a programme about still births on the planner which I'm clearly not going to watch any time soon.

Glad appointment went well La. All sounds very positive.

Pisghetti · 18/11/2014 22:06

I had Linda's sausage rolls in the bath which was fab. DS was very helpful in both cooking and bringing me said sausage rolls (with brown sauce).

Came downstairs and wandered into the kitchen to pick up my phone to find a large puddle on the floor. Stupidly went to put the light on and blew all the electrics. Bath water pouring through the light fitting - great Hmm electrics were easily sorted but the bath is going to be a right PITA. Either the kitchen ceiling will have to come down or the bathroom will have to be ripped up to get at the plumbing as the bath is tiled in (why WHY do people do this??) and after checking through my insurance documents it looks like the only work that would be paid for is the actual plumbing (not the ripping up and replacement of parts of the building) and the excess is sufficiently high that it won't be worth it. I'll give them a call tomorrow anyway to see what they say. Sigh.

I suspect the leak is coming from the overflow as I did have a higher than normal bath and we've had several baths since moving in without an issue before. Baby was quite enjoying the stretching while I was taking photos and nearly kicked me over! I think she was quite happy with my choice of dinner too.....

Leela5 · 18/11/2014 22:17

Oh god pis! That's horrendous :(

wilmabedrock · 18/11/2014 22:17

That sucks Pis. Hope it's not too expensive. Btw don't you get pastry flakes in the bath?

Pisghetti · 18/11/2014 22:26

Flakes landed on the plate and then my mouth

The sound of dripping is annoying me so I'm going to go to bed! There's nothing I can do tonight anyway (I've put a bucket down) I've got all the insurance docs ready to give them a call tomorrow. I'm looking back at my renting days with nostalgia...!

Nessalina · 19/11/2014 03:14

Ooh Pis, word of warning. If you call them and it's not worth claiming, they will still note on your record that you had a 'loss' that you didn't claim for, and your premium may go up Confused
This exact thing happened to us, the bath leaked thru to the kitchen down the wall and made a bit of a mess, but they wouldn't cover the finding the leak (which would have been the expensive bit) only the water damage (which was minimal) so we said no thanks. Next time we renewed, the question 'have you had any claims or suffered any losses in the last five years whether insured or not' said yes, 'water damage - £0' Hmm
I kicked myself for not having read the policy myself rather than calling them, so if you have read the policy and are pretty sure you won't claim, I wouldn't call them!

wilmabedrock · 19/11/2014 04:37

Having a middle of the night panic about movement (or lack of). Just felt a big kick though so slightly reassured. Feel like it was quiet yesterday compared to normal. Aargh, headfuck.

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 05:04

:( try not to panic wil it's night time and he/she may be sleeping as youre resting

I feel sick.

HungryHorace · 19/11/2014 06:56

Wil, if you think there has been a change, or if you're just concerned, please go in for monitoring. I went in twice with DS, and there was nothing wrong, but the midwives would always rather you go in to be checked than not if you're even the slightest bit concerned.

I'm sure everything is fine, but you'll feel better for getting reassurance, I bet.

After reading through, I've decided to call twins for Dulcet! :-)

Furry, I hope all is well and baby is on the way.

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 07:07

I get weird thing where I feel nauseous in bed but when I get up it goes. Anyone else had this?

DulcetMoans · 19/11/2014 07:18

Whoa, whoa! Why am I having twins now horace?!

pis what a giant shit. I've had the same thing as ness though - ring for advice, didn't claim but they still recorded it and mentioned on renewal. They are tricksy bastards.

la, embrace the sickness! And eat biscuits.

wil, keep calm! Is it all back to normal now?

Bad night sleep here. Trying a tactic of eating in bed to prevent feeling shit when I get to work.

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 07:23

Twins twins twins!

laurenamium · 19/11/2014 07:30

Morning viroids.

Pis what a nightmare! Shock Hope you get it sorted!

Nothing much to report here. I'm still shaking off this cold but it's all very quiet on the baby growing front. Nothing exciting until 8th December Shock

mountaingirl01 · 19/11/2014 07:34

So dh did grovel spectacularly last night including buying me flowers which will be the first time in our 8 years of being together. I then proceeded to cry all night over the fear that I've already miscarried. Wahhh I have no signs of pregnancy. I'm not sick, my boobs aren't sore and not really a lot bigger (especiqlly considering that how much I've eaten under the upduffed excuse!) And unfortunately the tantrums/crying are not that unusual for me...

Leela5 · 19/11/2014 07:36

mountain I really think you should speak to dr and try to get cancellation so that you can put mind at rest. It's rotten that he forgot and I'd be furious!

Mw said to me yesterday it's normal for symptoms to come and go

wilmabedrock · 19/11/2014 07:47

Glad cold is pissing off Lauren.

Getting lots of movement now. It's usually active in evenings and wasn't much last night and then nothing until 5.30 this morning. But is now rattling away. Odd. Thanks for reassurances. Don't know why I am so reluctant to ring midwife.

I'm also intrigued - why twins for Dulcet?

HungryHorace · 19/11/2014 08:07

Because needing to dilute your wee doesn't normally happen this early, so maybe the hcg levels are very high because there's 2 babies!! :-)

RPopz · 19/11/2014 08:17

Yup that happened to us with the car insurance too pis - DH went into back of someone because of a third party who then fucked off... Insurance company weren't prepared to repair and essentially wanted us to pay them to write the car off! We'd have got more by selling it for scrap... so decided not to claim. But they said we'd lose no claims bonus and premiums would increase anyway even without claiming because we'd been honest and reported it Shock Angry Fuckmonkeys. Be careful with insurance companies!!

I had some sick and dizziness a few weeks ago that was terrible when I laid down, but non existent the rest of the time! Annoying isn't it La

Hugs mountain - it's still early. Plenty of people don't get symptoms for ages. Does your GP do "emergency" apps??

Woo twins for Dulce Grin

RPopz · 19/11/2014 08:18

Hope all is ok now Wil x

minimooo · 19/11/2014 08:27

Glad you've got more movement going on now wil. That must have been worrying.

Argh no pis, what a nightmare! Hope you can get it sorted soon. Sounds like headache. I hate dealing with insurance companies.

Glad you're feeling better lauren!

Dh's cousin came round last night with her 3 month old baby so had lots of squishy cuddles! He is a really happy baby and just giggles away to himself all the time - such s little cutie!
