Just Shagging Grads thread 15: Join the viroids for mucus plugs and ball bouncing

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 15th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

Yay - just got my hospital letter with booking and scan appointments! Feels like a milestone as they send out at a certain time of your PG...and last time it came after the MC...which was nice

Booking appt 12th December, scan 23rd! Glad we've booked an early one too (6th Dec) - not sure I could hang on until the 23rd...

Min - that's so sweet of them at work! Enjoy your last day...I guess this is where it all becomes real?!

Appointment was hilarious! It was my midwife plus a visiting one who didn't know how to use computer. They were like laurel and hardy. I asked if I could request them to be in delivery room to make me laugh!!

They were absolutely lovely, said crampy pains perfectly normal, perfectly normal to get symptoms coming and going too. I'm getting early dating scan on 3rd December and booking appt week after.

Willing the weeks to go by now!

La - that's fab news about the scan - what a relief. That's 3 days before mine - hopefully we can have another party then! I'll make and eat sausage rolls...

Did someone mention sausage rolls? I have a few Linda McC's in the freezer - that's dinner sorted! Today I am mostly eating crap pastry.

Dulcet - we've already told my family but will be telling his on Christmas eve, and friends over the Christmas break - should be fun! Just have to negotiate all the Christmas parties beforehand! Think I might be 'ill' rather a lot...

I went to a party at the weekend. Drank soft drinks but if asked, I claimed to be off wine as it gives me a bad hangover but that there was vodka/ gin in it.

One person asked me flat out if I was pregnant. Denied of course. What a ridiculous thing to ask, if I was telling people she would know, grrr.

Fleur - that is really outrageous! I find it very rude that people ask - if you're not, you're offended, and if you are, you're put in a difficult position. Very very thoughtless.

In case you haven't considered it, incontinence bed pads is what you need from 37 weeks' pregnant. They saved my mattress with DD when my waters went in bed!

Can't be great on a plastic hospital mattress as I imagine they'd go everywhere!

As for DTD, we've done it once in the last year, which was about a month ago. Not going to win any prizes for that effort!

Just picked cake out if the bin and ate it.

I'm at home, BP's back to normal so doctor suggested I go home where I feel safe & try to get contractions going. Got to return tomorrow morning for induction with some gel stuff if nothing happens.

Hope all your midwife appointments have gone well today, can't read back at the hospital, phone signals crap.

I'm now in love with my community midwife, she said my bump wasn't very big cos I'm tall! I'm 5ft5 and have never been called tall before in my life she says its cos she's only 5ft but I still love her a little bit for saying it hehe. Bump measured perfect size for dates and heard heartbeat again so was all lovely.

I'm having a diet coke, it's my little pg treat I have once or twice a week, how sad I look forward to it so much lol!

Aww I've been given more things from the lovely ladies here ( I say, I, but we all know it's for the sproglet), so sweet of them. Nearly teared up at my desk, was just about to burst when someone asked me for the things ive been in charge off...BAM back to the grindstone..ha!

December is going to be a bumper scan month - my 12w is on 12th. Gingers crossed for a raft of little blobby heartbeats (and one that looks like a baby)

Fleur, one of my friends asked me that, she apparently 'just had a feeling'. I was still drinking, it hadn't crossed my mind - I'd come off the pill and AF turned up whenever the hell she felt like it. I found out I was about three days later! Thankfully she was too chuffed at her 'sixth sense' to think to be pissed that I hadn't told her

Ooh, forgot to say - J had had his tongue tie cut! It was dead easy he only squeaked a little, and we've managed to get him latched on for a little bit on the left boob - progress!
