Hello! Can't remember if I've posted in here already or not! I'm Tasha, 33, living in London and this is my first pregnancy. Currently 8+5 in. It's a very exciting time but as a rather anxiety prone individual (!) I am also worrying myself into a frenzy.... so much so I've already had a private scan and am now forking out for another one on Friday, despite it being my birthday that day (yeah....:-/ ). My husband and I are due to tell his parents the next day though so I want to be absolutely sure I am still pregnant before we break the news!

Good luck to all of those who have their scans coming up in the next few days - and glad we're all in this together! x

Thanks SBC! As for satsumas, 16 is an impressive number!! I do relate though, I've been going nuts for fruit over the last few weeks, especially satsumas, grapes and pears. I guess there's worse food cravings to have than fruit but it can be a bit weird when you're suddenly chowing down on stuff you'd never normally look twice at Grin

Do any of you know where she is jazzyjenbo? I just want to get her out of there. Poor poor girl. Thinking of you hon xxx

Confusedkitkat1 · 05/11/2014 02:32

Hello ladies!

Wondered if I could join you all please?

Just found out I'm pregnant... I have a 17 week old baby girl! Yes weeks not months!

Had been breast feeding but she's been very poorly in hospital so I'm guessing EBF didn't work quite like it should!

I'm terrified. Understatement of the year. I'm not too sure how far along I am but have done a clearblue and it says 3+ which from my understanding means a minimum of 5 weeks? She got poorly around 10 weeks ago so to me I don't think I could be any more than 10 weeks but you never know.

Her birthday is July so by the time she is one this next baby will be here! Ahhhh scary!

Have been reading through the threads you have made and it looks like there is loads of us due in June time wow! I didn't join in the July 2014 thread but did read it regularly and it seemed wonderful I'm guessing I will need more support this time!

On a side note to those worrying about brown bleeding I had this a few times maybe four times with my daughter and it turned out I had a low lying front placenta (anterior placenta) and it was the implantation of the placenta at the beginning. Initially this wasn't diagnosed but once I got to about 20 weeks they noticed all it means is that they keep an eye on you and give you a further scan to see if it has moved or not if not you get a ELCS.

I ended up having an ELCS not due to the placemta but due to HG and being so weak throughout the pregnancy.

Is anyone going to attempt a VBAC?
I'm not sure what to do this time especially with a little one already!
I'm hundreds of miles from my mum and my partners mum with no family and no friends I could expect to have my little girl during the labour I can imagine that for the next 7-8 months I'm going to be worrying about this!

Anyway sorry for rambling and I hope everyone is feeling okay I know the sickness is so hard it's horrible!

Ooh and choc milkshake was my craving before but it had to be cold like ice cold maybe it means GIRL! Who knows!!

Thanks girls x

Christ, just read the thread on relationships. What a fucking scumbag.
You will be ok. I promise.

WigglyBraddins · 05/11/2014 07:13

phryn yay yay yay! Massive congratulatory hugs. So pleased about your scan too. Aw, this has cheered me up so much. I have everything crossed for a happy and healthy pregnancy for you.

I'm going to ask a v stupid question now: how do you go about getting a private scan and how much do they cost? Do you just google it or is it best to ask the midwife?

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 05/11/2014 07:30

Is anyone else getting backache? I always get period pains as an ache in my back and my labour pains were all in my back (I think my uterus is actually in my arse). Dull constant ache in my back for a couple of days now. It's yucky.

cuphat · 05/11/2014 07:31

I've just read the thread. How awful. Thinking of you and I hope you get some rl support soon.

Welcome confused. I had an ELCS last year and I'm opting for another one this time.

Wiggly, I googled scans in my area last time and it came up with Babybond (plus a friend had already recommended them). I booked it all online. We've had a couple of positive experiences with them and will go for another scan at 16 weeks.
