I just googled these muslins! £20 for three from John Lewis if they're the same ones www.johnlewis.com/aden-and-anais-muslin-cloths-pack-of-3-jungle-jam/p611902. Think I'll go for tie dying our old ones though. I want to knit something for the baby but am waiting til I can see if there's an actual baby there on the scan so got some wool today to do a scarf for myself in the meantime.

Re the carbon monoxide test- I was offered one (never smoked and the midwife could see that on the GP's computer system) and was told it is still helpful even when you don't smoke as it can check for high levels of CO in your house from a faulty boiler or stove. I had mild CO poisoning a couple of years ago when we moved in here because we had an open fire (got a stove instead now, much warmer) and the chimney hadn't been swept. We have a CO monitor but I still appreciated the chance to have the CO test. I hadn't thought of the CO from household appliances thing so I was all prepared to be offended by the midwife insisting lol

I've been left on my own with the dog this weekend as DH and DS are visiting the in laws and I was on call last night. I told my supervisor that I'm pregnant as I felt so sick the other week, might have to ask her about stopping on calls temporarily as I was so tired and struggled to stay awake during middle of the night phone calls (don't have to go in, just give phone advice). I'm impressed by all the fruit-eating everyone else is doing, esp satsumas! I'm mostly having supernoodles and quavers...

TheDetective · 15/11/2014 19:55

I'm among the unusual. I don't show early, and it's only when I get to about 36 weeks I look pregnant.

Ill put a couple of bump pics from last time on fb.

I'd love to have a nice bump. My overhang (from c/s!) will ensure I don't get that!

I didn't put any weight on for the whole pregnancy last time. I was 3 stone heavier than I am now though.

I was doing slimming world, been doing it 18 months. Now I can't bear the thought of it. So I'm terrified of putting the 4st 11 I've lost back on! I've just eaten cheese pizza. It's not looking promising Shock.

Enjoy your night out Bingo! I'm falling asleep on the sofa, trying to make it to 9. Not looking good!

Hi everyone,

Re. The bedside cribs, I think I'm going to hire one. DD was such a bad settler that I think it would have made a big difference to my sleep level! I remember feeding her from both boobs but lying on one side once she got a bit bigger, but I'd be scared to do it I think when they're really small. Not sure about that one..

My diet is also pretty bad at the moment, I feel very reassured that it's not just me! I seem to spend a lot of the day thinking in desperation of something to eat that won't make me feel sick - and usually come up with random (unhealthy) stuff like crisps and bread! I need to sort myself out though cause I'm getting married in 3 weeks and I'm dreading trying on my dress (which I bought in half term) hmm!!

Catypillar · 15/11/2014 20:21

Just looking at these cribs and wondering if there's space to take the side off the cot and put it beside our bed... Could put one of the wardrobes in the baby's room when the cot would be going. Friend did this with her baby's cot. My sister just bought a bedside crib for her baby as they don't have room to have the cot in their bedroom at all, might see if I can borrow that when the time comes as their baby will be too big for it by then, if it looks like the cot will take up too much space.

Hey ladies,

I've been a bit quiet this week as I think the scanxiety has got me a bit. My scan is Wed next week (3 days, 16 hrs 10 mins away Wink ) and although the brown cm has thankfully stopped I'm just feeling a bit wobbly about it. What is ironic is that I feel better in myself, a bit more energy, only about 50% as much nausea (but it still flares up). I know the chance of having a mmc having seen the heartbeat and good growth at 8+5 and 9 is really low but still... I'll be so glad when we get to the scan and hopefully get a positive result.

Flowers and Cake to all those with scanxiety!

Evening ladies

Had my scan today (we booked one a couple of days ago when our patience finally ran out). The scan was great, everything's looking good and only one bean in there. I'm so relieved

Thinking of all you lovely people who have upcoming scans. Fingers crossed for good news all round.

ChatEnOeuf · 15/11/2014 22:33

Great scan news, Clearly Smile

Yes, Tori, both sides of town offer the late amnios in north. Don't know about south side though. It's usually for high screening risk or soft markers on the detailed scan. I'm pretty sure they do the Nifty bloods as well, but I've been out of the loop for a few months and things may have changed.

We've nearly filled this thread...do you reckon we'll be any closer to the second trimester glow by the end of the next one? Grin

Well, tried to be adventurous and eat something with flavour tonight. It stayed down a good 2 mins. Sad

Ooo, yay for good scan news and positive vibes for those this week. Had a few stitch type pains today so hoping all is well and just stretching. Scanxiety should be a recognised pregnancy symptom.

Chat - I'd love to feel the glow rather than sick all the time. Bring it on. Smile

BingoBonkers · 16/11/2014 00:15

I didn't show at all to start with when I had DC1. Dc2 I might have shown around the 12wk mark and that was a subtle thickening around the waist. This time it's ridiculous!

I'm also a huge SW fan. I will be going back to it once I've evicted this baby out in June.

Scanxiety describes it perfectly. I have a serious case of it.

Meal out was lovely. Shame it all tasted metallic. Shame I couldn't drink but fab company and lots of laughing. Had major stomach ache cos jeans far too bloody snug and tight.

Tranquilitybaby · 16/11/2014 07:25

Good news on your scan clearly I'm pleased it went well.

Good luck to everyone having scans this week. Not been on this thread much, the anxiety comes and goes and I need to just get the scans out of the way now. Got a fear that something might be wrong chromosome wise and want to get Harmony results

TheDetective · 16/11/2014 07:28

DH is up. Making me veggie sausage rolls. Confused Blush

Pregnancy is weird. It sends me insane.

Fell asleep just after 8 last night. Wide awake at 4am and have prodded that bastard ever since.

Think he's glad to be up making me food. I just keep whinging.

TheDetective · 16/11/2014 07:29

Justified whinging. Of course. Given recent events.

Grumpy 4am hungry pregnant woman is not the most rational.

Oh well. Least he deserves.

ChatEnOeuf · 16/11/2014 08:16

Detective Grin quite. Couldn't imagine sausage rolls now which is odd as they were my go-to in my first pregnancy. All about the crackers and orange juice this time around.

Tranquility sorry you're so anxious - do you have any reason to be so or is it just a feeling?

TheDetective · 16/11/2014 08:19

The sausage rolls hit the spot completely Grin.

Everyone here is asleep except me.

I have 2 12 year old boys asleep in my living room. So can't even go downstairs and watch tv. Typical.

ChatEnOeuf · 16/11/2014 08:32

Mumsnet will have to do!

Quiet house here too, DD is doing a puzzle on the floor and is completely absorbed. DH's turn for a lie-in so I won't see him for a while yet. Time to see if I can face a cup of d-tea with these mini cheddars Grin

I have to ask Tori real rats? DH jumped up and went for a run - we are moving before baby is born to a 2 bedroom place a bit farther out (we are in a 1 bed with no balcony 3 flights up) DH catches the tube/train out to areas we are looking at and jogs around them and home and reports back! Can't wait till I feel energetic enough to go, minus the running part. I slept about 12 hours but had some kind of nightmare in the middle of the night - woke up really suddenly and with my heart going boom boom.
