Yes, I went with a REALLY full bladder (the sonographer commented on it!) because the instructions from the place I went said to. It's worth a go!

Thelovecats · 04/11/2014 21:23

OTS I've had 2 cycles of IVF so I'm all too familiar unfortunately!

Gr33dyeggs · 04/11/2014 21:24

Phryn and iwant, thanks for the advice. I'm thinking (hoping) it is just bartholian cysts, although they sound pretty scary in themselves.

I think how they scan depends on whether they can see all they want abdominally. I had an abdominal one first but they weren't sure about the area of bleeding so then they did "trans vaginal" (although dildo is a much better description).

Here's something I can really worry about: I have a wedding to go to on 3rd January. I'll be 17 weeks. Last pg I did have a bit of a bump by then but not so much that I'd get away with looking like shit wearing a "less than proper smart" dress. It'll be a posh do too. What will I wear???

This is so much nicer to stress over than work tomorrow, which is destined to be grim.

ememsmum · 04/11/2014 21:30

Place-marking and off to bed. Way past my bedtime! Zzzzzzzz

Catypillar · 04/11/2014 21:30

FB group? Have I missed something?

AnythingNotEverything · 04/11/2014 21:33

Yes it's definitely more busy on here than FB. I think it's because we're not all on there, it puts people off sharing with only part of the group if that makes sense! I'm off to bed now, DS woke up at 1am this morning and was awake til 3, then was up for the day at 5.30! YAWN!

Deutschybaby · 04/11/2014 21:57

Thelovecats - I had an Early scan at 7 weeks, went with a full bladder and ended up with an internal scan (so had to run to the loo 4/5 times while I was waiting) - I think I'd still be hopeful and drink lots if I had to do it again though!

Phryn · 04/11/2014 21:59

WIGGLY (excuse the shouting) - am genuinely immensely pleased to see you here! I'm chuffed to say I'm defo pregnant - am 9+1 and had a private scan at the weekend where we saw the heartbeat and everything looked perfect. I also conceived on the WTF cycle so dated based on temp rise which was later confirmed by the scan. Hope your pregnancy continues to go well and good luck with the midwives on Mon.

Pas I'm also at a posh wedding on 3rd Jan (in Rochester - how funny if it's the same wedding). I'm almost hoping I show by then so I look pregnant rather than thicker around the middle (as I do currently when the bloating isn't too bad). I have 2 weeks off over Christmas and have one dress of stretchy material in my wardrobe that might be a good option - or I'll be hitting the sales! It's my first pregnancy that's lasted this long so I have no idea how I'll look on early Jan (I'll be 17+5 on the day of the wedding).

Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 04/11/2014 21:59

There's an active thread on relationships tonight. Could it be one of us June ladies maybe as circumstances very similar. Hope not.

Phryn · 04/11/2014 22:00

Chookford · 04/11/2014 22:04

I hope not smug. If it's the one I've just read, it's heartbreaking. Trying to hold back tears, poor poor lady :(

MsJupiter · 04/11/2014 22:08

They tried scanning me abdominally today but couldn't see anything (6w) so they changed to dildocam. I was kind of relieved as it meant I could go and wee (although at the time I was more worried about the outcome) - I have had internal scans before when I struggled to get pg the first time so wasn't worried about it.

They'd instructed me to drink 3 glasses of water an hour before the scan but of course the clinic was delayed by nearly an hour so the waiting room was full of squirming women. When I had scans in my last pg I took a bottle of water and turned up half an hour early - the scans were always delayed so if I drank it on arrival it worked out perfectly and avoided the agony of the drive there over speed bumps. Must remember that for next time.

VintageCherry26 · 04/11/2014 22:09

Smug, I just saw another message that points out you may be right. If it is correct and if anyone knows her well, please PLEASE message her for support.

MsJupiter · 04/11/2014 22:13

Oh crikey I have just seen the thread. Yes it must be. I know her from prev antenatal thread so will send her a message.

Chookford · 04/11/2014 22:14

Shit I've just read that thread, God I hope we are wrong.. What an utterly awful thing to do to someone..
