So sorry to hear of more losses Gr33dy & Guy. I can't imagine the feeling & hope you get the support you need.

So I'm officially in the system! Saw my GP today and he asked minimal questions including what my intentions were regarding the baby Shock. I put him straight very quickly but was in and out in 5 mins. I asked about seeing a midwife at some point & he said I won't see one until my 12 week scan so no official booking in appointment for me by the looks if things (I'm 8+3). I also mentioned that to put my mind at rest I've booked an early scan for tomorrow & he said there was no point as we wouldn't see anything. I'll be honest, I'm not filled with confidence about the care in my area at this moment in time!

On the plus side my boobs are much more sore again today, much to the annoyance of DH Wink

JennyOfOldstones · 13/11/2014 18:56

How rude orville you will see plenty, most importantly a little fluttery heartbeat which is totally magical Smile

Guy - so sorry to hear of your loss. Big hugs.

AnythingNotEverything · 13/11/2014 19:05

Guy I'm so sorry. Big hugs.

Gr33dyeggs · 13/11/2014 19:07

Great news on your scan Jazzy!

Re scans. The info I'd received for the 12 week scan was to eat and drink as normal but not go to the toilet for an hour b4. Even that I found uncomfortable yesterday though.

Oh guybrush so sorry to hear your news. Thanks Thanks Thanks

purple We've only dtd about 3 times since we found out at 4/5 weeks. Mostly in the weeks where I haven't been throwing up or retching regularly. I feel a but bad but we'll get back on it when I feel better I'm sure :-)

So my boss sent me home from work for the rest of the week as I've been fairly rough at work this week but asked if I might be able to get a sick note (even though I'm nowhere near the 7 days of self referral). Long story short, rang gp to sort out and ended up going in for third time this week. Lovely gp gave me anti-sickness tablets. (Think he was doing Movember as he had a fairly impressive horseshoe, but didn't ask in case he wasn't.) Managed to eat both lunch and dinner!

htf2 · 13/11/2014 19:21

We have not dtd once since I started feeling sick at about 6 weeks. It's been over a month which is getting tough on my DH, at the same time it is fairly obvious that I am struggling with anything so he gets it. Hope to feel well enough soon though, he has been so good with everything, has single handedly cooked and cleaned the whole time, including cleaning the toilet more often as I have spent so much time looking into it :P Do we need to take a usb to the scan to get pics? I hadn't thought about that.

very sorry to hear guy and eggs, admire you still joining us very much eggs!

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 13/11/2014 19:40

Finally had my booking in app, all went well, altho mw couldn't get any blood so she has booked another app to try again. currently 8+3 and due date is 21st June the day after my birthday, 21st June was my late Fathers birthday and oddly the date of my first marriage (we divorced 5 years ago due to his many indiscretions). Scan booked for 11th December so very excited.
Sex.... My OH must think it's Christmas as we ve still done it 4/5 times a week, it was weird the first time after we found out I was pregnant.
Luckily not had major symptoms, but knackered all the time and battenburg is helping with the nausea. It's been a very strange time as my Mum's estate is nearing completio nearly 2 years after her death. So it's been a time of soul searching and deciding the best thing to do. So, I have put my beloved childhood home on the market, the antique furniture all being sold and then to tackle sorting out her clothes. I have to admit it is strange to know my children will never meet their Grandparents, especially when they would have excelled at it.

bubalou · 13/11/2014 19:43

So sorry guybrushThanks

In terms of dtd when my hyperemesis was at its worse it was maybe once a week if that when I had a rare break from feeling complete shit.

Now I'm feeling better and I think we're pretty much back to the same as always - 2-3 times a week.

I with ds I was the horniest pregnant woman in the world and couldn't get enough of poor DH. Blush

I think he's hoping for the same again but so far this pregnancy couldn't be more different!

Orville82 · 13/11/2014 20:05

I'm worried now that if I'm not going to see a single health professional now until my 12 week scan that maybe I should have had some bloods taken!

I just think I'm even more on edge than usual as my best friend was let down very badly during her pregnancy & childbirth in our local area to the point that she almost died because of their incompetence & may never have further children. This was only a few months ago so it's very raw & really quite worrying. I know it's early days but I'm hardly filled with confidence!

Thanks for that info, gr33dy. That sounds a good compromise.

What an awful doctor, Orville. Although last time, I didn't see a single healthcare professional until my 12 week scan - my booking in appt was at the same time! And bloods were taken for the first time then too. I felt that they didn't care about pregnant women until they hit 12 weeks.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 13/11/2014 21:27

So sorry Guy Hmm Take your time before expecting yourself to be "normal" again.

Re dtd: I'm impressed and ashamed by the amount you guys are putting out! My libido never really returned after dd so conceiving this one was a definite chore from my pov! Last time we dtd was followed two days later by a big bleed so it's put me off even more.

Re scans, my letter says to drink a pint of water an hour (!!!) before. I shan't be doing that.

cuphat · 13/11/2014 21:40

Oh no, thanks pas. I'm sure I don't need to do that again if it was suitable for a scan at 7 weeks!

I'm now panicking that the illness I had for a few weeks might have caused a defect in baby (my cough has only just gone). I did have a high temperature, but not extreme, and I did take paracetamol to reduce it so I'm hoping that was enough. I'm going to be worrying until my 20 week scan now.

BingoBonkers · 13/11/2014 21:44

Oh Guy Sad Thinking of you. ThanksThanks It's so bloody unfair.

cuphat · 13/11/2014 21:47

And thanks to bingo too for your info (bad memory but seeing your name just reminded me).

Yep the worrying never stops.

Tonight I've started feeling itchy. My boobs and back. Shouldn't have googled. Even though it was the NHS site I'm now a touch anxious and overthinking. Kick me someone!

cuphat · 13/11/2014 21:57

Thanks Tori. It is just one worry after another!

Kyz · 13/11/2014 22:07

Evening all,

i'm so sorry guybrush do take care of yourself Flowers

thanks msj i'll keep an eye on the itching

wow jazzy that cake is GORGEOUS! I love it!!! you're very talented

hope it goes ok at the doctors tomorrow confused!

bless you perpetual you are not alone though, I am also struggling with day to day life, it all just seems such hard work! Sounds like you have far more on than I do so no wonder it seems like hard work!!

forty I hope the change in abs helps and you feel better soon, and please don't blame yourself re your friend, you weren't to know Flowers

fingers crossed all is well sunbathing, sounds positive that you've had nothing overnight, my back pain is at the bottom of my back btw

fab news and photos jazzy that's great :D We currently share the same EDD, yay!

glad they're being cautious ots better to be safe than sorry

I remember having an uncomfortably full bladder last time and i'd taken it so literally that I had to go for a wee because I had filled myself up so much the sonographer couldn't see anything!

good luck for tomorrow chat

purple we're not atm really either, I am rarely in the mood and we've both been poorly recently. I was quite amourous last time but dp was scared he'd hurt the baby. He now knows from last time he won't, but with him working nights and the poorliness we've definitely not been quite so, together. I also had a bleed last week and that put us right off - i think last time we felt alot better about it after the 12 week scan, and i was quite, erm, lustful last time, and i think dp struggled to keep up, as much as he might not like to admit it!

glad you are in the system now orville, your gp does sound rubbish though!!!

glad your booking in went well elizabeth

i'm with you on the itching bingo i think it's likely to be just skin stretching as msj pointed out to me upthread :)

well, i'm kerbolloxed, so tis off to bed i go! night all x
