Lovely pics Jazzy.

The FMC states that there is no need to have a full bladder prior to scanning. I have had a scan with a fairly full bladder on the NHS and it really isn't at all pleasant. Quite painful.

Today I have had colcannon mash for lunch and a million few chocolate bars. Treat size ones. I'm not greedy you know! My jeans are starting to feel rather snug and I caught a glimpse of myself in a window today in my cost and I'm sure one look at me screams "WITH CHILD". I'll be so glad to have the scan done and dusted and hopefully good news.

Is anyone else suffering with incredibly toxic wind? Honestly the smell is horrific. Can't even blame it on the dog.

teeniedeenie34 · 13/11/2014 15:37

Ha ha ha ha! Oh Bingo that really made me laugh! Yes, my... errr... wind smells absolutely awful too and the dog is constantly getting the blame lol!

JennyOfOldstones · 13/11/2014 16:27

I had a very full bladder for my 8 week scan and the sonographer rushed through my scan and sent me to the loo, I think she thought I was going to pop! Can't remember what it said for my 12 week but I am at 3.40 so they will no doubt be running late so I won't be too full!

Sunbathing I had some brown cm last week but as it coincided with my sickness easing off I assumed it was in some vague way something to do with the placenta and didn't worry about it. I will find out a week today anyway! Hope you are feeling ok about it now.

ChatEnOeuf · 13/11/2014 16:33

Congrats on lovely scan pics Chook and Jazzy.

I was sent out of my 7w scan to go for a wee with DD as my bladder was 'more than full enough' Blush - not going to try and fill up this time, they can give me drinks there and watch me heave if they need a full bladder.

Scan day tomorrow... bit completely terrified. Have had on and off spotting for the last week, and a fairly big bleed very early on. Two miscarriages this year makes a very nervous Chat. Gulp. I have to remember to take a USB if I want pictures, so can someone please remind me?!!!

SEX! Is anyone doing it? We've had sex twice since we found out I am pregnant five weeks ago and it's really getting me down. I am feeling more nauseous than amorous and it's hard to get in the mood when you're constantly exhausted and/or farting. It's definitley me, rather than DP who is putting it off and he is being very understanding but it's our first and I don't want to become one of those couples who never has sex before we even have a kid as an excuse! Should I just suck it up (...ahem, as it were) and get on with it?

Jackiebrambles · 13/11/2014 17:18

Ha! Good question purple!
We aren't at the moment, mainly because I feel like shit / sick and tired most of the time at the moment.
Having a toddler plus first trimester tiredness is getting to us!!

I hope to be back on the horse (so to speak!) when I feel a bit better.

I also got spotting last pregnancy when we dtd. That was in first/second trimester I think.

DH gave me a knowing look when the MW said that sex won't harm the baby or cause a mc. I gave him a look which said "that may be so but there is no way I'm feeling up to any kind of intimate liaisons at the moment". Besides with two DC and constant nausea I can't even entertain the idea. Plus my boobs hurt far too much and that's without even being touched. Strictly a no go area chez Bingo ATM.

Purple i really wouldnt worry to much atm about lack of sex, u'll feel more like it during 2nd trimester once sickness has gone and sum ppl feel very horny in 3rd trimester. (And them u'll start dtd as an eviction technique!)

Jackiebrambles · 13/11/2014 18:00

Tori, I wish we could make men understand how hard these first weeks are!

I do feel a bit bad for DH after all the ttc dtd to then move to a drought, but I just can't face it.

I then remind him how I made him dtd when I was 40 weeks (at midwives advice!), now that was amusing!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 13/11/2014 18:00

I'm out chaps. Best of luck to you all.

Thanks all - at least I know it's not just me. Although I have tried the "well, I asked about this on Mumsnet..." rationale before with DP and it wasn't well received.

Guy so sorry to hear your news.

purplebiro · 13/11/2014 18:16

JennyOfOldstones · 13/11/2014 18:33

We have been dtd around once a week which was about normal before ttc. I though we would be glad of the break but it's actually nice to do it when we feel like it instead of just at ovulation! DP is not allowed to touch my boobs though. Ouch.

cuphat · 13/11/2014 18:39

I'm so sorry guybrush.

Chookford · 13/11/2014 18:42
