Nice to hear from you confused and good luck with the GP, they should refer for an early scan.

Yes the colour scheme is purple, bridesmaids wearing purple/plum dressed and shes got purple bows on chairs etc. i'm a bridesmaid so i'll try and get some nice pics and ad them the fb page.

Omg omg... Scan day, fx for me girls, its at 10:40.

Sun, try not to worry, brown is old but i know u can't help but worry after mmc. Sending hugs

fortywinx · 13/11/2014 08:51

Good luck with the scan today jazzy! Fx for you! And congrats on the lovely scan pictures Chook; glad everything is going well.

excited I am also feeling terribly unprofessional and generally rubbish thanks to my sickness. I keep telling myself I can't help it, and if I was throwing up from food poisoning or a stomach bug I certainly wouldn't be beating myself up about going to the doctors or having time off, especially coupled with the UTI I've got this week.
It's exhausting and I'm starting to dread going into work, partly because I feel rough, partly because I'm not working at my best and partly because I just wish I could stay in bed near my bathroom and a hot water bottle.
I feel like I'm letting everyone down, y'know?

Perpetual I am teary and emotional too. I don't deal with being ill and/or off work very well, and it's making me stressed enough to want to just not go to work at all and bury myself in a duvet for the next 7 months :(

Went back to doctor's yesterday and saw a Nurse Practitioner, she made me do a pee sample. She's changed my anti-biotics for my UTI in case that's what's making me sick, she said my sickness and lack of eating is showing some effect and if I'm still being sick even after changing the anti-biotics, I'll need to be prescribed anti-sickness tablets. Went home afterwards and slept from about 4pm-6pm. Still feeling nauseous and rough this morning but haven't actually been sick so fingers crossed it was the anti-biotics.

Morning all

So very sorry Gr33dy, gutted for you.

Sorry for my silence, it’s just so long until my scan and booking in appointment and time, I swear, is standing still! I have been lurking when I can though.

Lovely scan pics Chook.

I’m feeling a bit better. Last week was definitely the worst nausea-wise. I still do feel a bit sicky but nowhere near as bad and the last couple of days I have been able to enjoy a cup of tea which I have been off for a couple of weeks! I’m 7+5 today.

Of course that means I’m panicking that something isn’t right, but then I’m comforting myself with the memory that actually I didn’t really suffer from very much nausea at all when I was pregnant with DS.

My boobs are fuller but they aren’t sore, I can’t remember when they were sore last time – I so wish I had kept a diary. I do remember I had to get one of those supportive vest tops for wearing in bed but my boobs aren’t sore like that at all now. Hmm.

Sunbathing try not to worry about the brown CM (impossible I know!), crossing everything for you that it just disappears.

Good luck Jazzy for your scan today!

Forty, so sorry you are suffering, please give yourself a break. I haven't had bad sickness at all and I've been dreading work because I'm just so tired! Fingers crossed it won't last long for you.

teeniedeenie34 · 13/11/2014 09:35

Jackie Your booking-in is the day before mine Smile Defo seems to be taking forever!

Chook Lovely scan pics and so pleased for you that all is well with your little bean. Do you have any kind of inkling what you are having? Smile I love trying to guess lol!

Good luck with your scan today Jazzy so exciting!

Sunbathing I'm sorry I really don't know much about bleeding, but I would say if you are worried or feel like something is wrong then defo call your MW or GP and see what they say.

I've just found out that one of my best friend's has had an mc this week. She didn't know she was pregnant (her and her DH weren't ttc) and is taking it very stoically bless her, but she does want children so it must still be a bit of a blow. I feel awful for whinging about my pregnancy symptoms all week when she's been going through that. Sad Feel like a terrible friend.

bubalou · 13/11/2014 12:42

Forty - I'm so sorry for your friend but don't blame yourself. Thanks

All I wanted was to get pregnant and feel like a really ungrateful cow when I've been feeling sorry for myself about the hyperemesis.

Its natural. I hope both of you are ok.

Smile

Sun glad to hear your feeling more positive today, everything is fine I'm sure.

Forty sorry to hear of your friends loss, but as the others have said this isnt your fault.

Clearly good luck with the scan on Saturday.

Hope your scan went well, jazzy.

Sunbathing, I've never had back pain there, just where my tailbone is.

I'm wearing maternity trousers today! I got them out and tried them on thinking that the stretchy waistbands would be massive after wearing them last time but they all fit fine (the stretchy stuff must be good). I didn't buy them till much later on last time, but I've got them and there's no point wearing trousers that are tight where they do up when I can wear these super comfortable ones! I did try my bump bands but they just ride up (probably due to my pear shape).

How much water (and how long before) do they advise to drink before the 12 week scan? Because I arranged mine by telephone they won't send a letter out (this had all the information on last time). It's a good job I'm not working and don't need proof of appointment...

jazzyjenbo · 13/11/2014 14:11

So pleased to say my little jumping bean is all present and correct, new edd of 31st May, 11+4, got all of my appointments booked in from now until May! Heres afew piccys x

Great news, jazzy!

teeniedeenie34 · 13/11/2014 14:28

Fab photos Jazzy and so pleased for you it all went well!

Thelovecats · 13/11/2014 14:28

Great news jazzy!

Cuphat, I was told by the womens specialist sonographer at my hospital that having a full bladder before a 12 week scan is completely unnecessary. She stopped the practice here as soon as she took up post.

ots · 13/11/2014 14:32

Sorry been a bit quiet last few days.

Gr33dy, so sorry to hear your news if you're still reading x

Lovely scan pics chook and jazzy :)

Hope the rest of you are ok. Sorry you had some worrying CM sun, but glad its stopped now. The fact that it was brown is a positive sign.

Had my booking in yesterday, all went well. I've been booked to see a consultant, as I had an abnormal smear last year, the cells were the highest level of abnormal before becoming cancerous, so had to have LLETZ treatment. She says in some cases this treatment can shorten the cervix, leading to premature labour, so the consultant will want to examine me, and if it has been affected possibly put a stitch in. She seemed confident that as I only had the one treatment it would be ok, but glad they are being extra cautious.

10+5 today and the nausea seems to be easing slightly. I actually managed to eat breakfast and lunch today! 1 week and 6 days til my scan :)

cuphat · 13/11/2014 14:33

Thanks thelovescats - I like that answer!

cuphat · 13/11/2014 14:35

I'm glad they're being cautious, ots.

cuphat the midwife said to me to arrive with it full, and if they don't need you to you can always go and have a wee! Doesn't say anything at all in my letter!

cuphat · 13/11/2014 14:42

Thanks sunbathing. It isn't, is it, but does at least tell me that some places are still recommending it. I was really uncomfortable last time, I really don't want to do that unless I have to.

cuphat · 13/11/2014 14:43

Thanks ots.

cuphat · 13/11/2014 14:44

For the early scan they said a pint an hour before . I'm sure they were specific for the 12 week scan too last time.

Thelovecats · 13/11/2014 14:45

I think that's why the sonographer here isn't a fan of specifying how much you should drink- she was getting women almost in pain who couldn't relax during the scan (which pushes on your lower abdomen of course).
