Sunbathing: no nausea, no sickness. No tender boobs. I've just had tiredness, a dark ring around my actual nipples (not areola) and my boobs are starting to look veiny (despite the fact I'm still bf) and insomnia (which stopped a few weeks ago). I can't eat much in one go, I have to eat little and often and there are some things i don't fancy (no major aversions though). I've got increased cm. Before my BFP I had Chinese burn type feelings, dizziness, a really dry mouth when I woke up in the morning, a one off episode of bleeding gums and hot flushes.

Exactly the same as when I was pregnant with DD and everything was fine then so fingers crossed it is now. I'm 10+6 today (LMP - 11+2 by early scan date).

I'm still wearing Bravado nursing/maternity bras. They come in three sizes and stretch/shrink accordingly so they're perfect for pregnancy and breastfeeding afterwards. You're not supposed to wear unwires from a certain point in pregnancy, and definitely not while breastfeeding.

ChatEnOeuf · 12/11/2014 16:50

Ooh, tell me more about these Bravado bras... I had a nightmare getting bras during pregnancy and BF, I had about six different sizes, none of which were comfortable - I went up a back size and five cup sizes :o

Symptoms (I'm probably about 9w): Constant/intermittent nausea, loss of appetite and occasional voracious hunger. Dizzy sometimes, crushing tiredness pretty much all the time and bigger/fuller boobs. Heightened sense of smell. Emotional wreck. Quite anxious. Think that's it Grin It's been up and down since about 6w, I had very little before that.

Hi all, I did check into this group but I was on thread 2!! So things have moved on a bit since I last posted...

gr33dy - relly sorry to hear your sad news :(.

Jazzy - would it be possible for you to add me to the stats? I am 35, expecting first child and I am 10+3 today (same due date as Suncat I think :) - 06/06/15 going by my LMP).

I have been keeping a low profile until now because I was realy struggling with the anxious wait for appointments etc. Where I live there is no opportunity for going for a private reassurance scan without getting on a plane! However, I had my booking in appointment yesterday wth a lovely midwife which has made things seem more real. I have also finally had my scan date through now for 25th November - hurrah! I will be 12+2 at my scan and have just under 2 weeks to wait. Only just allowing myself to get a little excited as I didn't want to tempt fate.

Suncat - your symptoms sound exactly like mine. I have been really worried as I basically feel great apart from extreme all-consuming tiredness (sorry to those suffering with MS). My boobs are no longer sore, although they are bigger. I don't feel sick. The only other symptom I can point to is extremely sensitive sense of smell. It's ridiculous, I can smell things from miles away!

Anyway, if i may, I am going to reintegrate myself with you lovely ladies as although I will still be anxious until my scan, it is ncie to be bale to talk about it online with others in the same boat. My OH is great but, you know, a boy so sometimes can't totally appreciate how I feel, although he tries.

Hope you are all ok with your satsumas and good luck to those with scans coming up.

Croon xx

Slacktacular · 12/11/2014 17:16

Jazzy I've got a monster size wedding cake to make for 13 Dec too! I've never done a 3 tier before so am slightly crapping myself (Don't Tell the Bride nightmares are happening on an almost nightly basis now!!). The thought of it is tiring me out and also making me feel a bit queasy! I'll have to join the FB group so we can trade pics of 1st trimester wedding cake efforts Smile Cake

Chookford · 12/11/2014 17:23

htf2 · 12/11/2014 17:39

I am catching up, feels like I missed a lot! jazzy I don't think I could handle the pressure now but I would just love to make someone's wedding cake one day! I feel very reassured by the amount of people here who had symptoms ease at about 9 weeks, although I am still feeling rough and have been sick this week not nearly as bad as it was (11weeks tomorrow). Much less reassured by all the comments on short people showing! I'm 163cms :) I know I won't show this trimester as have lost weight due to being sick as I'm sure a few others of you have, but once everything recovers... I don't know enough about how to works to stock up on maternity clothing online. I assume I will have to go up a trousers size eventually not just get maternity in my usual size? Going home for a wedding in March - it will be summer there so will have to shop online for something to wear, should be interesting :)

htf2 · 12/11/2014 17:40

sorry chook missed your scan somehow in my reading through! Congrats, it's a great picture!

Yay chook - so pleased for you!

sunbathing I'm 10+1 or 2 today and my symptoms are.

  • Painful boobs that are larger and fuller than usual. I seem to have got into the habit of checking that's still the case each night when I go to bed. I think that's because when I had the miscarriage they stopped feeling as full/painful a few days before.
  • Not been sick but have felt mostly consistently nauseous. This has started to ease off a bit but only in the past couple of days.
  • Vivid, crazy and sometimes quite erotic dreams Blush
  • Bloodhound sense of smell
  • Needing the loo more often which means I'm going once in the middle of the night (which I never usually do)
  • Totally off overly sweet foods including chocolate
  • Feeling very emotional/tearful
  • Bloated tummy and tendency to get diarrhoea Envy
  • Occasional pulling/stretching sensations
  • Loads of CM. Mostly creamy/clear in colour but the beige/pale brown stuff emerged today. Trying not to panic
  • An intense desire to pop forward to June, check it all works out okay before I pop back and live through it. That's a symptom right Wink

Great news, Chook!

Chat, these are the Bravado bras I recommend. www.johnlewis.com/bravado-seamless-nursing-bra/p40298 I've got them in a couple of colours. Not the most attractive, but so comfy and they've fit me throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding. My rib cage expanded last time, I was worried it would stay that way but luckily it went back to its usual size!

Croon, you've reminded me that my sense of smell has increased too. However the smells are never good, are they?!

Htf2, I managed to stay in my usual size last time but I think it varies for everyone.

sparkle17 · 12/11/2014 18:49

Ooh that's exciting chook!

AnythingNotEverything · 12/11/2014 18:55

You can absolutely wear underwired throughout pregnancy and most of breastfeeding.

I wore underwired, bought from bravissimo and with their blessing, throughout my last pregnancy. I had a bravado bra for sleeping in and bought non wired nursing bras for the early stages. Once my size settled down I converted my underwired bras into drop cup with kits from eBay.

As long as the fit is good, there's no issue. You just have to be careful in the early weeks/months as until your supply settles down you are at risk of mastitis or blocked ducts if you're too restricted.

Chook so pleased for you!

ememsmum · 12/11/2014 19:02

I didn't end up fessing up to all at work today as my nausea was strangely but thankfully not so bad. I am a bit breathless and dizzy though but go thru the day unscathed. Boobs have only just started hurting in last 2 days. Dunno how if that's coz they shrank a cupsize once I finished bf so are only now getting back to/bigger than their original size? I think I will stick with underwire bras until bump gets too high. Have some revolting M&S softcup ones that I really should chuck as gave me monoboob.

I am also having weird dreams. Many sexy dreams. Some of which are ruined by me realising I have really hairy legs.

Very keen sense of smell this time around. There was an awful smell at work for ages (I work in a hospital) and no one else could smell it. Luckily, finally one of the nurses and a couple of other people complained about it and it got sorted. So funny that the majority were oblivious to the utter stench.
