Yes, Tori, come and join us on FB (I think I know you in RL...would be a big coincidence otherwise)! Just don't put pictures of tiffin on there unless you want to post us some Grin

Goodness, Sunbathing what a lot to deal with during pregnancy. If you ever want to chat about it, feel free to pm/FB - DH moved to Belgium in the week, months before I could join him. I was pregnant at the time but sadly it didn't work out - so I'm doing the whole of this pregnancy in a different healthcare system rather than switching halfway through :)

AnythingNotEverything · 10/11/2014 19:06

Bingo - you got a cup of tea?! Great service ... Shame she had to dash off.

jazzyjenbo · 10/11/2014 19:07

Hexy at least speak to your GP. My work and local GP are both pools so I have seen 3 different GPs over medication and they have all been so sympathetic and lovely (much more than the midwife who behaved like it was my fault). I think it is a case of finding what works for you - I have been on cyclizine, then something else and now am on promethazine. That said, if you are that weak being admitted might be the best thing - they would get your fluids /salts/thingummys (not a medical person!) up properly which would make you feel so much better to then try and manage on some at home medication.

cuphat · 10/11/2014 19:32

Glad to hear it sunbathing. I'm terrible for googling, my husband just looked at me when the midwife said that! I'm sure the move will be fine. We too live in an area a few hours away from any family so it'll be good that you'll be nearer to yours when you move. I'd never been to the hospital either so don't worry about that - I went for the first time for a breastfeeding class not long before my due date and had a tour of the midwife led unit - which as it happens wasn't where I had the baby anyway due to her being breech, but the fact I hadn't seen the consultant led unit didn't make any difference. If I'd had a home birth I would have had the midwife I'd seen throughout but as I had a c-section I didn't know any of the staff there at all. Again, they were all lovely (amazing in fact), so it didn't affect my experience. So I'm sure you'll be fine. Hopefully they'll take what your previous consultant says into account.

I think I'll pop onto the May thread too once I've had my scan. EDD right at the beginning of June but a planned section means it'll actually be a May baby.

WigglyBraddins · 10/11/2014 20:21

Evening ladies

I had my reassurance scan today. I have 1 bean with a heartbeat in the correct place - hoorah! The only annoying thing is the dates: I thought I was 8+3 but apparently I'm 7...although the sonographer said the margin or error is huge at this stage which is why they wait to 12 weeks for the dating scan. DH obviously has super long life spermies! It means the date of our 12 week scan will probably change too. So relieved tho that beany has a heartbeat!

sunbathing it's exciting about your DH's job and hopefully one of us lives near where you're moving to.

Yay wiggly, so pleased to read things are looking so positive for you. Your mw will still date from your lmp so 12 week scan date shouldnt change... I was dating about 5 days less at my 8 weeks scan.... I am the magic 12 weeks tomorrow!! Scan on thur so lets see if my dates are accurate! (And please let bean be healthy)

WigglyBraddins · 10/11/2014 20:34

jazzy and tori that is very helpful to know.

Very excited about your scan on Thursday jazzy, I'll be thinking of you.

Yeah Tori salt is the only thing I want, but obv not taking much till this vomiting stops. Thanks for your replies everyone. Checked & have moderate ketones in urine, so am biting the bullet & heading to EPAU after dropping DD off at school tomorrow morning. Weighed myself today, BMI is now under 18 so got to sort this out. Looked at some HG info & now shitting myself I could have it for whole pg! Glad it wasn't like this last time or I'd have never convinced DH to have another baby (even with an easy pg last time it took me 2.5 years of mithering to get him to agree!)

cuphat · 10/11/2014 20:56

Great news wiggly.

Jazzy, I did ovulation tests last time so knew exactly when I ovulated and could have conceived yet the 12 week scan put me a week ahead - going by the scan date they were saying I'd conceived before I'd even ovulated! So your dates could still be the most accurate despite what the scan says. DD was just destined to be a big baby from the start; they say that at 12 weeks that doesn't come into it much but it definitely did with DD.

JennyOfOldstones · 10/11/2014 20:58

Ooh jazzy are you the first one? So exciting! Not long to go now! Smile

ChatEnOeuf · 10/11/2014 21:07

Yay, Widdly :)

I'm craving salt too - crackers and mini cheddars...had chips with my tea tonight and added extra salt, something I never, ever do normally!

jazzyjenbo · 10/11/2014 21:18

Yes i think i am the first 12 week scan, closely followed by tori... We are both may/june cusp dates... At both of my previous 12 week scans i was put back by approx 1 week but i had longer cycles then, this time i know exact lmp dates and ov dates so might get put back by about 3 days.
I'm trying to stay positive, i had a strong heartbeat at 7+3 (8 week scan), no spotting apart from slight pink after dtd at 9 weeksShock but no cramps and no more dtd lol, sickness has returned yest and today.... Have lost all of my taste buds, everything tastes bland or yoghurts taste sour, gone off chicken completely, can only manage fruit and have joined the satsuma club.

Chookford · 10/11/2014 21:19

wiggly massive congrats on the good scan news!!

sun how exciting moving closer to home and having help with the bubba! But I do understand the not wanting to leave your friends that must be a hard thing to do but sure you will be just fine!

Hope everyone else is well

I have my 12 scan this week I will be 12 + 3 I'm absolutely shitting myself again now, I really hope this worry will ease as time goes on Confused
