Just had a chat with Lucy5 and we decided that the old thread was getting too long and taking forever to load so here's a new one for all of us.

Hope everyone's well, nothing to report from me, everything's going smoothly still so far.

Not long now until we get the first of the birth announcements!!

Omg the thought of peoples husbands noticing my nipple

36 weeks would be 24th November, 37 would be 1st december

Redlorry75 · 05/10/2006 20:41

Hurrah - saw consultant this afternoon and she thinks what the labour ward and MW's have done to me is...overkill! I am now on only 1 BP check a week - as opposed to per day.

DH is taking me to Tesco tomorrow as opposed to going on-line so will have a look for First mag too - you are very brave Magnolia!

weirdbird · 05/10/2006 21:20

Ohhh definitely getting a copy tomorrow, will ask DH to get one for me on his lunch!

Dont worry I wont tell him why

Just had a lovely massage, my reward for having done a mth end and am now off to bed to relax....

Sorry I vanished earlier actually fell asleep and DD let me sleep, she is such a sweetie, woke up as DH got home in time to hear her telling him to shhhh cause mummy was having a sleepie.

Awwww she is going to be such a great big sister!

[soppy]

magnolia1 · 05/10/2006 21:22

Awwww bless her

Redlorry, glad your bp checks are only once a week now

Redlorry75 · 05/10/2006 21:38

How is every one going with the healthy eating.

I actually cooked a fmaily meal from scratch tonight - so proud of myself, first time I felt up to it in ages! Although ot sure supposed to put half a tub of clover in a pan of 5 spuds which have been mashed

becs21 · 05/10/2006 21:49

hey need sum advice asap just been sick when i havde stood up my joggers had a big wet patch wot could that have been?

Beakysmum · 05/10/2006 21:54

Not your waters breaking? Is it warm and wee like, but you know you haven't wee'd??? (Sorry to be graphic!)

lucy5 · 05/10/2006 21:56

I'm afraid that I often leak when I throw up, I blame dd

Thanks Eli will sign up for cat!

Redlorry75 · 05/10/2006 21:58

Becs - are you often sick?? I also leak when any forceful bodily functions occur - laughing, sneezing, coughing etc. Would suggest you ring MW - but be prepared for a referral to labour ward!!!

becs21 · 05/10/2006 21:58

it was like wee no i didnt feel like i had wet myself im worried

Beakysmum · 05/10/2006 21:59

Ah, Ok, I'm with you on leaking post DS!!!

becs21 · 05/10/2006 21:59

sorry ment wasnt wee like

becs21 · 05/10/2006 22:01

it cant be my waters as i am nbot due till feb just wanted advice from u guys as u r ahead of me and may have experience this

Beakysmum · 05/10/2006 22:03

I think you should check with your midwife too. I don't think you should be feeling anything wet at this stage! Good luck.

Why the sickness? Bug? "morning sickness"?

becs21 · 05/10/2006 22:07

i only lost the liquid when i was sick not continuas was bsick i ate sausage cassoroul baby didnt like sausage in early stages and cleary still doesnt i have scan at 9:20 in morn as i am in no pain and know more liquied should i leave it

Beakysmum · 05/10/2006 22:14

I lost small amounts of amniotic fluid a couple of times during pregnancy (panty liner full) and then when waters really broke at start of labour it was still fairly slow..about an hour before I stopped leaking. It was warm and clear and wee like.

But I'm only one person and I'm not an expert. I probably would ring midwife just to be on safe side.

becs21 · 05/10/2006 22:17

yeah i guess just has its stopped and it wasnt warm im thinking it shouldnt be anything serious only have a mob number for midwife i think im ok like i say havent had any fluid since may try her mob in a mo thanks for advice im sure everything ok surely i would be in pain and would be leaking constantly if waters had broke

Beakysmum · 05/10/2006 22:23

No, no pain at all when waters break

Calmriver · 05/10/2006 22:26

I know how scary it is when you leak. I was walking into town a few weeks ago, and bam...I thought my waters had broken. It was a constant trickle for about 30 seconds. I had a great excuse to go to Lasenza and buy 5 pairs of new panties!!!Sorry if that is too much information.
I actually never got that checked, but all seems fine and healthy.

I'm afraid I'm off to do the MILO treat again now. I just seem to want lots of hot drinks now that the weather is cooling down!If I have that and get into bed quickly after, I may not have to eat again.

Eliboo · 05/10/2006 23:24

Where can I get Milo then? Want!

Becs, do call MW for reassurance anyway...can't hurt, and thats their job, I'm sure they won't mind. I also leak when I cough (which is every five seconds atm), but thats the only time so far - am sure it would freak me out if I wasn't so used to it.

Magnolia, we may end up with same due date then - if I have to have a section (likely) it'll probably be the 1st or thereabouts! Really hope you don't have any bleeding before then anyway...

RL, hurrah for sensible consultant - no wonder you felt up to cooking for the first time, must have helped having someone tell you you're doing fine. I'm glad.

Lucy, am off tomorrow till Sunday night - but will look out for cat and send asap

Eliboo · 05/10/2006 23:27

Oh - and I had a healthy supper: fish, veggies, boiled potatoes. The meals are easy - its between them that I fail miserably: several liquorice allsorts (dh's fault), a bag of crisps earlier (also dh's doing). And a load of breadsticks, which I can't blame on dh, but can blame on my mother who was utterly infuriating on the phone tonight.

I'll take responsibility tomorrow....

jabberwocky · 06/10/2006 02:57

Wow, I can't keep up with you guys anymore.

Magnolia, congrats on the article!

I went for my 4D ultrasound today. It was really fun. Dh was out of town but wouldn't have liked it anyway. I showed him the pictures and he found it a little too medical I'm glad I went though, it was a little sneak peek to make the next two months more tolerable as I'm getting really anxious to meet the babe!

Calmriver · 06/10/2006 08:18

MILO

It's sold in most Supermarkets and some little shops, like Spar etc. Go and get some today! Then tonight we can all have a nice cup of Milo together!!!Come on, what do you say??? If you'rd looking yourself, it's in a green tin or bag. Or just ask an assistant.

If you're in Sainsbury's,Tesco,Waitrose or wherever and they say they don't have it...they're lying! They just can't be bothered to go and find it.

Calmriver · 06/10/2006 08:22

Oh, and Jabbers, glad you had fun at the scan...Men are just boring like that..Ignore him!

Are you guys watching Birth night live on 5 at 8PM on SUNDAY??? Real babies popping live. They also show the baby in the womb...I can't wait. With Milo too of course!

Calmriver · 06/10/2006 08:27

Sorry to be sad.
