Just had a chat with Lucy5 and we decided that the old thread was getting too long and taking forever to load so here's a new one for all of us.

Hope everyone's well, nothing to report from me, everything's going smoothly still so far.

Not long now until we get the first of the birth announcements!!

Hi everybody!

Not been able to get on-line for 3 weeks and it's been driving me mad. Haven't read everything yet but will do so later - there seems to be masses. Hope everyone is well and I haven't missed anything exciting!!

We moved house nearly 3 weeks ago and last week I collaspsed and was rushed to hospital. I kept feeling faint and on Wednesday passed out in the bathroom and came to half an hour later - scary! - on the landing. Banged my head and have done my back in. I was alone in the house with the DCs which really worried me. They kept me in to observe and did lots of tests. Put it down to low blood pressure, slightly low iron and STRESS. As some of you might remember, everything has been happening at once for me (as well as being 7 months preggers) and my poor old body basically gave up. Anyway, baby is fine. Today I got caught in biblical floods on way to collect DS from school, pram broke and I had to carry everything including DD for a mile and nearly collapsed again. So embarrassing, someone had to drive us home!

So that's me, think I will stay home and MN for the next 2 months Look forward to reading all the goss.

Calmriver · 11/10/2006 14:04

Hi guys,I would have to rename myself Milohead!!! No, I think I will just stay CR as I can't be bothered! It's going to be really exciting when we get to meet eachother. Walking home this afternoon I have had horrible pain on either side of my belly button-cramps. I was trying to walk like a normal person, but it was hard. I think DD has got herself lying across again, and with not that much room left, it feels like she is going to pop out my belly button...oooh! What a thought!!!Has anyone else noticed veins on their lower back, hip area? I can't remember having these last time, but they're there now.???

Gloria42 · 11/10/2006 14:10

I have the veins too! No stretchmarks [crossedfinger emoticon] as yet!

Olihan · 11/10/2006 15:39

Yikes, Castles, sounds like you've had an awful few weeks. Was wondering how your move etc had gone last week. Hope you can find some time to put your feet up and take it easy for a while. It definitely sounds like you need to.

Eliboo, my stepmum is a retired midwife and she always tells me that babies are the perfect parasite - they take everything they need from you regardless of the quality of your diet, your overall health etc. Our bodies prioritise them for all the good stuff and we get what's left over!! I also lose weight when I'm pg, especially in the first trimester - this time I lost 9lbs and have only just regained that, but I am looking at it as a good thing, having had 2 8lb+ babies where I did the same thing. Means I get back to my 'pre' pg weight really quickly too!!

Lucy, glad to see you around again. Was getting concerned that you'd had a rough few days again.

Gosh castles, you poor thing! Make sure you don't lift a finger for the next few months( with older kids not sure how that advice works!) Take care anyway!

RE:decorating nursery, we're still waiting for our extension to start so we'll be winging it as a foursome for the next 6 to 9 mnths! Have got all old baby stuff out of garage and am sorting through it as we speak!

lucy5 · 11/10/2006 15:55

Castle that sounds terrible, please rest whenever you can.
Eli you sound like you are having a rough time of it too.

keep your chins up it's not much longer love the lady who spent all weekend in bed crying

Calmriver · 11/10/2006 16:31

I always say my DD ate me when she came out. I gained 12 kg's with her, and was back too my original weight in about 3 weeks. When I had my section they said to me on the table, you'll be back in your jeans tomorrow....yeah right! With a cut from hip to hip..don't think so!!!

Oats for dinner i think. Don't feel like cooking.

Calmriver · 11/10/2006 16:37

I'm so tired, yet I feel like cleaning...whats up with me.

VanillaMilkshake · 11/10/2006 16:48

Castles, I hope you're feet are up! Please take it easy.

Was unable to BF last time so not aware of the calories needed, although am going to give it another try this time. But am also hapier with weightloss plan to start in March! also gives me time to finish the huge tins of chocs I intend to buy

My leg has started to ache uncontrolably, not even paracetamol or lying down stop it. Have found a few position which make it easier, but they are not very comfy for the rest of the body. I seem to remember some of you mantioned potassium (bananas) and tonic water. Just hope I can get comfy in the cinema tonight. My friend is buying delux tickets so should have plenty of room and no teenagers if nothing else.

castlesintheair · 11/10/2006 16:55

Thank you all, it is nice to be back on-line for tea and sympathy, I knew I was missing something Done a bit of reading, wow, this thread is busy. Welcome to all the newbies since I've been away.

I've been saying quite a bit recently "I can't wait to get it out" ... sure I will regret that when I am getting NO sleep AT ALL and feeding beanio ALL THE TIME.

Eli, you sound like you are having a rough time. Poor you, hope things are getting better.

VanillaMilkshake · 11/10/2006 17:12

Glorai, as for the motions Have it checked out or at least call your midwife cause it can be a sign of other non-mega problems (or labour - but dont let me panic you)
Just wish I was loose.I have a blockage that would shame the M1 at rush hour!

Loulou000 · 11/10/2006 17:52

I'll definitely join a weight loss thread next year! Assuming I have any time to myself to think about such things.

Castles, how horrid. Hope you are now taking things easy as much as you can.

Carameli · 11/10/2006 18:25

Castles, glad to see you are back. what a time you have had. We are moving 2wks on Friday. I will be glad when it is all over. I only have a 3yr old to deal with and not too much to pack here at all(was supposed to be doing this last year so huge amount of our things are in storage in MiL's huge loft)But still finding just I have no energy.

hope you are starting to feel better, take it easy and look after yourself.

Calmriver · 11/10/2006 19:46

Castles, moving is so stressfull I remember. We moved house 2 weeks before I was due with DD and it brought on my labour!

I really am feeling tonight like it could be any day now.

My oats turned into veggie sausages, chips and peas! For some useless info

Anyone up for milo tonight???

Eliboo · 11/10/2006 21:18

No milo in house, but do have frozen chocolate brownie yoghurt I believe, somewhere in nether region of freezer...

Welcome back, Castles! Been thinking about you and wondering how the move was going, so sorry to hear you've been down the low-iron route...sounds both scary and unpleasant. Horrid to actually faint - how low did your iron get?! Can't imagine carrying dd to the end of the road, let alone a mile, you must be shattered. Hope it gets easier for you from here on in....good to have you back, and hope the school/nursery is going well.

Also thanks all for tips and sympathy, have been good with my puffer, taken my iron, and actually did put feet up for quite a bit this afternoon. Think I might be a bit better, and at least feel less anxious about it all - wonder if my mother having left after a few days' stay has helped?! She's such an anxious person, and tried to help but actually needs lots of looking after. Tiring.

OK, that B&J's yoghurt is calling me very loudly...that, and an early night...

Eliboo · 11/10/2006 21:19

Calmriver, any day now? Really? Wow! Its going to get really exciting on here soon eh....

Calmriver · 11/10/2006 21:42

I probably will be sitting here thinking the same thing in a months time though

I have a scan tomorrow-another growth one, and I'm so excited to see what baby looks like now. Going to ask them to zoom up on her facial features again..

Anyway, I'm off for a milo in a few mins.

Big hugs and good sleeps to all

jabberwocky · 12/10/2006 02:13

Castles, what an ordeal Tell your dh that from now on you are to keep your feet up and eat bonbons...

I keep thinking that I am sooo ready for the baby to come, then remembering all that needs to be done and thinking there's no way I'll be ready even in 8 weeks!!

castlesintheair · 12/10/2006 10:44

Is this the thread or is there another one? Very confused here!

I've finally caught up on the reading. Sound's like you are having a bad time too Lucy. Hope things are getting better. I hope you are reading this thread!

To those who are moving soon - Carmelli & LouLou I think - please take it really easy. Even though you don't lift heavy stuff (I hope) it's the stress of all the niggly admin and things not working. Please don't end up like me!

Eli, my iron levels are only slightly low it is my blood pressure that is really low. It's around the 90/60 level which in the long run is good I suppose but there's nothing they can do for it. I felt faint again this morning but luckily got to lie down before I keeled over! I drove DS to school too which is only a 10 minute walk away but have decided to be lazy for a while. School is going well thanks but have given up on nursery for DD. How is it going with yours?

Now more importantly, looked for First magazine today to see the gorgeous Magnolia and couldn't find it. Have I missed the boat? Maybe that's a good thing considering I look and feel about 100 years old.

VanillaMilkshake · 12/10/2006 10:53

Which Thread are we going to use - or should we start another to make it realy clear!

EliBoo · 12/10/2006 11:10

Oops, have I messed up and confused threads along with kpnuts (new poster) on the other one?!

Castles, you know what, that sounds very similar to me. I slept better (less coughing), got up feeling tired but relaxed and ok, ate a few mouthfulls of cereal and nearly fainted into the rest. I never think of low bp - as I had high last time - but took it, and it was 111/62 which is really really low for me. I think its the drops that make you feel crap rather than the ultimate figure, IYSWIM, anyway. It IS much better in the long run - I'm thrilled mine hasn't risen (yet!) - but yes, does feel awful. I feel nauseous when I feel faint, too. Perhaps I'm solving the mystery bit by bit - thanks for explaining your own, though sorry you have it.

So hey, what about threads then? This or t'other?

Loulou000 · 12/10/2006 11:13

Thanks Castles, will try to take it easy! At least I get a couple of days off work, and am going to be really strict about not physically moving anything. Will try to stay relaxed too.

Is there another thread??

EliBoo · 12/10/2006 11:21

Castles, forgot to say - dd was a bit grumpy second week, then started to bounce there like tigger. She loves it (but is more of a handful at home since starting, of course!). I think she was just really ready - and used to me leaving her with someone other than me, too. I'm glad your ds is doing well - school far more important than nursery anyway!

castlesintheair · 12/10/2006 11:35

Eli, sound's like you have low bp too. Symptoms can change with each pg. I always have low bp but it wasn't a problem with last two. I'm so pleased your DD is enjoying nursery. I had to stay with mine for 3 hours each time and ended up looking after all the other little darlings as well. DD got worse and worse, eventually not allowing me to let go of her hand. Bless her, she's had some big changes in her life recently & she obviously just isn't ready yet.

EliBoo · 12/10/2006 11:48

Think you did the right thing taking her out - she has another huge change to deal with soon, after all! And moving house is a huge deal for grownups, let alone a LO...bless her. Stuff nursery, plenty of time for that

SO....this thread, then?!
