Just had a chat with Lucy5 and we decided that the old thread was getting too long and taking forever to load so here's a new one for all of us.

Hope everyone's well, nothing to report from me, everything's going smoothly still so far.

Not long now until we get the first of the birth announcements!!

All this talk of food! I have just indulged in 2 slices of peanut butter toast and I have a hot Milo right here....Horray for the 6 spoons! I loves eating it crunchy off the top too. Does it make you sleep better????..well...I think so!

I'm watching the breat programme on TV. They should be gratefull I have less than them!!!AND I@M PREGNANT!!!

weirdbird · 04/10/2006 21:33

Sadly they are Tunnocks Tea Cakes

biscuit type base, a puff of marshmallow and a chocolate casing and I am addicted to the things

Tea cakes a link to them

Olihan · 04/10/2006 21:50

Weirdbird, you have got it bad if you even know there's a Tunnocks tea cake website!! Is it on your favourites or is it your homepage .

Maybe you should start up a TTAnon club....'Hello, I'm Weirdbird and I'm addicted to Tunnocks Teacakes'.

Fair play though, that you're only having them one at a time. I've just eaten a whole packet (i.e. 6 bags) of Iced Gems in about an hour and a half. Just couldn't stop once I'd had the first bag. Really hope ds doesn't remember me putting them in the trolley tomorrow!!

I only googled for the website when CR didn't know what they where.

Having found it though I went and ate a 3rd ...

In my defence I am in the middle of mth end and its driving me mad and I don't know how I managed to work full time last pregnancy, cause I have 0 motivation and even less brain

weirdbird · 04/10/2006 22:08

'Hello, my name is weirdbird, I am addicted to Tunnocks Tea Cakes, Cups of Tea, Ebay and have recently developed a over fondness for sponges'

Anyone else?

lucy5 · 04/10/2006 23:28

I ate a 250 gram bag of peanut m and ms today

judemum · 05/10/2006 09:04

All this talk of teacakes and Tweenies... afraid to say my only strange pregnancy eating phase so far has been to consume 6 bags of cheesy wotsits in one sitting. Sent DH out to get me one bag, he made mistake of coming home with multipack, so I just ate that. He was disgusted. Didn't get the stain off my fingers for days. I am worried baby will come out luminous orange and tubular.

Calmriver · 05/10/2006 09:21

That is so funny! I really love you guys. A friend of mine ate 16 triangles of dairylee cheeses in one go.
I am starting to really worry about finances now, and that makes me want 'nice' things. I am going to be strict with myself. I am going to get stuck into this flylady thing from today...how hard can it be, it's one thing a day! Today is to shine my sink....AGAIN! 8 weeks to get my flat looking and feeling good before Miniature arrives!

Maybe I should just go and get myself a cleaning job, that way I can clean someone elses and get PAID FOR IT!

What can you do for money in our conditions???No one wants us!?

judemum · 05/10/2006 09:43

what's flylady?? Don't know about you but am nesting like mad and driving DH insane. Made him choose paint for the new nursery last night at 11.30pm. Not sure he could see straight. Can't stop cleaning, even though exhausted. Even washing all the cushion covers and bath mats etc and I still have 10 weeks to go. Took day off work on Tuesday and basically cleared out three rooms, cleaned and re-organised and was then too tired to cook!! Didn't do this when I was PG with DS1.

weirdbird · 05/10/2006 09:52

www.flylady.net - Motivational cleaning thing, not that it sounds like you need it!

its to try and get you into good habits

CR - Find your timer (if you have one) set it for 15 min, pick a task and go for it, when the timer goes, either give yourself 15 break/rest/MN time and then do another 15 min.

Am always really suprised by just how much I achieve on anything in 15 min!

Calmriver · 05/10/2006 10:28

Cool, dishes time!!! Roll on bubbles!Be back in 15!

Calmriver · 05/10/2006 11:02

15 mins done, over to the hobs next..actually will do the appliances as many as for my next 15 mins. Now I'm really in the mood!...and my DD has just made another huge poo in the toilet,so I'm even more excited!

judemum · 05/10/2006 11:26

No, I don't think I need any motivation on cleaning! I am a saddo that needs to get a life, but am awash with nesting hormones and find I can't resist picking up the scourer and having a sneaky scrub at the hob when no ones' looking. I am not obsessive (yet), but need to reign myself in a bit I think! Put loo brushes in Dettol on Saturday. I am sad and I admit it. Need to resist disinfecting the cats....

Redlorry75 · 05/10/2006 11:33

Hi everyone - how are we today?

I mis one day on here and the thread grows by miles!

Ihave my consultant today after last weeks rocket BP. Just hope he will be happy with a week of normal BP and end these daily visits from MW. Cn't get anything done when i am waiting for her to pop in. Yesterday it was 5.15pm and I had spent the whole day longing for a nap -which DH was prepared to let me have and entertain DD>

Last night he said he realised that 'wow' not long to go now as he had'nt sen me so tired before. I swear I could'nt even raise the enegry to get off the sofa.

Glad to see we all had a go at health eating, even if our resolve did'nt last long. Yesterday I had toast for Breakfast, Croisant (sp) for lunch and baked spud, beans and cheese for tea. Was so tired I had no energy to eat. Today I have sent DD and DH to bakery for dairycream apple tunrover - yum!

Arianrhod · 05/10/2006 11:38

Can I poke my head around the Dec 2006 door and say Hi? I generally frequent another BB and only just discovered MN ... my LO is due 28th Dec and I'm told is a pink-coloured LO

judemum · 05/10/2006 11:48

Hi and welcome! I am new to MN too and am completely hooked now (as of earlier this week). My friend got me into it. Its a dangerous place to waste lots of time!!! Hope you're having a good pregnancy.

weirdbird · 05/10/2006 12:13

Well just had my MW appt. I do like my new midwife she is very positive and actually listens to what I have to say (I asked to change cause I wanted a Home Birth and the other midwife was totally anti and wouldnt even discuss it!)

Everything is ok, but baby is still transverse (sideways) she thinks this is why I am measuring 32 weeks rather than the 28 I should....

So I am legitamitely huge maybe...

had hoped to be joining you CR with my timer, but she took one look at my lack of veins and I have to go have my bloods at the Hosp, so am out again after having lunch!

Redlorry75 · 05/10/2006 12:17

WB I am transverse too! Yesterday was longline but little monkey moves from one to the other daily! However in my case - already having a rather wobbly belly (ahem) when baby is transverse I just look fat, so I prefer the longline look as I actually look PG then!

accessorizequeen · 05/10/2006 13:01

Magnolia, someone's looking for you !

Calmriver · 05/10/2006 13:14

I'm sure all will be fine WB. they try to make you worry about anything...will slow down on the cleaning tll you're around again later..let me know when and we can go for it!

Elibean · 05/10/2006 13:21

Another for the transverse club (sounds very x-dressed somehow, that), and WB didnt' realize we measure more when the little creatures lie across: babe constantly transverse, might explain my 34 cms at 30wks?! Though she was breech that day..

Keep eating healthy meals then blowing it by snaffling whatever chocolate I can lay my hands on afterwards. Stole some of dd's milk chocolate buttons just now, guiltily glad she doesn't yet know how to count too well.

We're supposed to be going off to Somerset tomorrow for weekend, last trip out of London till D-day (banned after that in case bp shoots up as per last pg) and am hoping to sleep a bit and cough less so we can go: this is a crappy virus, gp even gave me an inhaler 'cos its making me so wheezy. Any pg tips on cough-handling? Apart from chocolate...?

I just clicked on the October thread by mistake, and had such a shock - seeing people talking about going into labour left right and centre - thought it was you lot for a minute!!

Elibean · 05/10/2006 13:24

Magnolia! Looks like I'm going to have to drag my sorry self out to the shop later and buy the magazine.....

becs21 · 05/10/2006 13:29
