Morning all.

kate glad to hear you took the day off. Take care of yourself. Yes, I have lots of wriggling going on. Actually had to stop speaking mid sentence to my year 9s yesterday as the movement took my breath away.

I am shattered and feeling sorry for myself. Been a long week back at school with a useless inset afternoon thrown in for good measure (My half term was last week). Today is my day off with DS but have some friends coming round for coffee this afternoon as one is moving abroad. TV is on. House is relatively tidy so just need to push the hoover round later.

Feeling huge and sleepy (DS decided 6am was wake up time - the whole clok change is not working out well here!).

Would love a snooze but it ain't gonna happen!

Still lots of work to do for my maternity covers before I can relax but at least the nursery is done. 4 weeks of work left and counting!

I haven't booked my whooping cough jab but it's on my list, especially as I caught whooping cough when I was about eight and remember how bad it was! The flu jab was completly painless and all I had was a slightly tender arm for a few days.

I am so relieved reading through comments at how many other people haven't got a nursury ready. I was starting to think I was the only one! DH has managed to book three weeks of over Christmas and said that we'd do everything then. I calmly poined out that I was looking forward to going on maternity leave and spending my days doing nice things, not clearing junk, hiring skips and decorating... over Christmas. We agreed that we'd have everything cleared and empty and he'd just do all the painting. It is a tiny room and as we rent we are sticking to a neutral colour and tidying up the gloss paining. Then I'm going mad with wall stickers and ceiling mobiles!

Hope everyone with colds are feeling better for the weekend.

Hello everyone, just lurking to see how you're all doing. It's nice to compare how others are feeling at the same stage. I popped in early on, I think it was to offer some advice to someone about taking steroids when pregnant. I had 4 mcs then DS who is now 2.3, a further mc and now 30.5 with second child. Sex unknown - was so tempted I even had the sonographer write it in sealed envelope at 20 week scan but haven't opening it yet!

I am actually booked in for a cs on 23rd December when will be 38.2. I had a cs with DS and this baby is also still breech. Nervous about second cs (first was fine) but glad I am having it done as soon as possible. Feels like I have been pregnant forever!

I had the whooping cough and flu vaccines last week and like someone else said only had sore arms.

For those of you with a toddler already - have you decided what pram to get? We live in London and walk everywhere so thinking the Phil and ted navigator at the moment - not too wide for jumping on buses and tubes.

Glad to hear (iykwim) others are feeling tired. I'm bloody exhausted! All good though, had a scan this morning and baby is now 3.10lbs. Looking forward to having a new baby (but nervous about juggling two - especially as DS is still a terrible sleeper - but CANT WAIT not to be pregnant anymore!

Nesspot · 01/11/2014 08:18

I'm bloody knackered too. Can't seem to sleep more than 5/6 hours and even then I'm tossing and turning all night. Too hot, can't get comfy, restless legs, etc. Poor husband not getting much kip either because of me!

I have had horrendous nausea a couple of times at night recently too. Comes on really quickly, lasts 1-2 hours then buggers off again. It's really awful tho - proper squirming about, goosebumps, shivers, dry heaving (sorry, tmi). And then if goes as quickly as it comes. Anyone else had this?

I had that nesspot and I noticed it was when I was hungry. Yes, even in the middle of the night! So I kept a bit of bread by my side and after a few mouthfuls, all went back to normal. Your nausea may be triggered by something completely different though!

closetoyou · 01/11/2014 13:01

Just saying hi again. I try and keep up but don't post much! Just a tad busy with family and feeling tired. (because I forget to take my iron tablets!)

31 weeks today

HenriettaTurkey · 01/11/2014 13:21

I've found you!

Hope all is well - 28+1 here & recovering from gtt/anti-d/flu jab yesterday.

All went well. Firework display with 2 year old tonight!

cheshirem2b · 01/11/2014 17:29

Grrrrr! Ran out of hot water just when I wanted a nice hot bath! Typical!
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
We went to our local pubs acoustic night last night and are at a friends for dinner tonight... Could do without tonight if I'm bring honest but never mind! One night out in a weekend is enough (too much) these days!

Nesspot my morning sickness came back a couple of weeks ago, gone again now. Milder than before but definite ms. Had to run away from two visitors at work to go and throw up! I'm getting really strong movements now and sometimes feel movement that is like tiny baby having a big full shakey-body stretch. Really freaks me out!

Pesto11 · 01/11/2014 22:11

Went pram shopping and now we've fallen for the oyster 2! Agghhh we are not supposed to be adding to the short list!
Had such a lovely but exhausting day and his we've just argued about nothing and I'm here crying my eyes out! Grrrr

Having a lot of movement down low in the evenings...

Not looking forward to school on Monday... No!!!
Roll on maternity leave!

31 weeks today

cheshirem2b · 01/11/2014 23:55

awww! Hope you're ok Pesto!

We went to our friends for dinner and I must admit I'm glad we went - it was lovely! They really tried to accommodate my GD diet as well which was thoughtful (although my levels are a bit high tonight)!
sleep well ladies!

jobrum · 02/11/2014 00:05

Hugs to you pesto, arguments about nothing are the worst!

Pesto11 · 02/11/2014 02:16

I've calmed down now... I shall give him the silent treatment tmrw...
Arghh men!

Nesspot · 02/11/2014 08:31

I'll definitely try having something to eat Bilbo - can't make me feel any worse tbh!

It's brutal - I had hellish sickness up until 20 weeks. Thought I had seen the back of it!

Roll on Jan!

Hope everyone had a good weekend?

I was home alone today so made a good start on baby-stuff organising. Washed one load of baby clothes, cleared out two bags of rubbish from what will become the nursery and another two bags of clothes/bags/shoes to try and sell, boxed up a few things to move into the study once that's sorted, and organised all the baby toiletries and freebies I've amassed. It's a start!

This week I'm hoping to do the other load of baby clothes laundry, sort my hospital bag (more or less) and continue clearing the nursery. I've got till 24 November as that's when the decorator is coming to paint the house, but today I realised how slow progress is going to be with bump and pelvic pain! So little and often will become my mantra - need to start making the most of my evenings after work I think.

Got my first pg yoga class after a two week break tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to that. And our last antenatal class on Tuesday and my 28 week check on Friday. Anyone else have any exciting plans for the week?

Eeeek it's at least the 4th time I see transverse babies mentioned (on here and elsewhere!) and I feel like there's something I should know but don't!

Indeed, baby is definitely transverse here (I can see it when she stretches, it's like I've swallowed a stick!). But I always thought they have until the last minute to swap around!? Confused

madrigals Keeping everything crossed for you! At least you get to see baby again on screen Grin but I hope it's good news!!

SK Same here! About to embark on a big nursery tidy. And because I've used it as an office for so long, I have a lot of -mess- important academic resources to transfer -shove- somewhere else!

Unfortunately, nothing exciting planned for this week apart from going back to work. And for the first time in a very long time, I don't want to. I'm happy to see colleagues again, and pupils (well most of them!) but I'm big looking forward to the commute and the fact that I have to give up my midday nap Sad It's getting heavier and heavier now, and I'm not the fittest of persons so I don't do pregnancy gold at all at the moment. Oh well 6 more weeks!!

BilboTheAlmighty · 03/11/2014 05:16

Argh! mess and shove were supposed to be crossed out!!

Morning all. Finding life a little bit harder physically - can't keep up with ds (3) and still so much more to do workwise to prepare for handover. Had a proper cry yesterday about how much I miss having family support around me (I live abroad). My dsis is 22 weeks pg and she and bil have just moved back in with my dps, so was feeling sorry for myself. iLs not the same!

Counting down days and weeks till ML but still so much to get done for handover.

Good morning! Well good for a monday! I'm feeling a bit more human today! Bub has had a quiet weekend. Probably coming down from all the sugary ribena I'd been downing last week. So far today they've been a bit more active. Yay!

6 weeks left of work!!

Will there be much on Sale?? Baby is due Jan 23rd. I do av some baby clothes!!!!Smile as for buggy I've decided on the city mini. But haven't ordered it yet! I'm working up until Christmas!! Can't wait to be off!! I'm obsessed with looking up prices of furniture, maybe I shld just buy everything & forget about the sales as I feel I really need to get organised???

jobrum · 03/11/2014 08:52

It's a sunny Monday morning! Does the midwife feel the position of the baby? I'm pretty sure tiny baby is the right way up; I have a lot pressure on my bladder, especially when stood up and then this big pressing lump under my ribs which I'm taking to be bum.

Did everyone have their 28 week scan at the GP midwife or was it at the hospital? I'm wondering what happened to mine!Hmm
