Nothing here. 39+5 - have never been this pregnant before (ds born at 39+4).

HulaHoopsInTheBath · 26/12/2014 13:39

Hello all, Im still here too. Mad think I shall be keeping you company, DD came at 40+12 and I knew if this one didn't come yesterday I would be looking at the same. A few niggles but nowt else.
Nyan - Sunday, wow! Smile

After a lovely day yesterday I am now chilled at home and my Dad has taking DD out to get rid of some energy for a few hours. So I am alone, with the TV remote and a foot long tube of jaffa cakes.......... Wink

cheshirem2b · 26/12/2014 15:43

Hi ladies!
We had my parents visiting yesterday & today. They waited on me (& DH) and spoiled us. Was a lovely time. They've just left so we are now relaxing and waiting for baby to arrive! Getting some sharp pains down below with BH but nothing major going on.
I've noticed a couple of ladies on the fb page seems to be in labour. Let's hope there are festive babies.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the Christmas season with your families.
39+1 (6 sleeps until baby day)

Dec2013mummy · 26/12/2014 21:58

Hello all. So we had no Christmas Day babies then! Cheshire you say there a couple of people in labor. How exciting. Such a shame I'm not on Facebook, I remember saying when it was set up that people would desert us on here and some really have Sad feel like I'm missing out!
I'm glad you got spoilt today Cheshire. We had my parents, sister bil and gp's over today. Dh cooked, although I still didn't sit down until we ate! We were spoilt too though as everyone cleared up for us and entertained Ds all day! Still having regular bh but it's just become a part of my day to day now! Had a major melt down last night as I was just so uncomfortable. Feeling stretched to the max and baby has not slowed down in the slightest Smile think we have another fidget on our hands. Grin
I'm with you mad and hula. I think I will go majorly over into mid jan. Dh is back at work on the 5th and I don't know how I am going to cope with Ds on my own when he goes back again. He's so heavy now and stupidly active, wanting constant interaction, which is great and I love it but it's so exhausting and my back is not up to it!
Ah well! Keep us informed of any fb babies. It gets me so excited to hear of others having their babies. I'm just so happy when I know everyone is ok and happily holding their little bundle of joy.

Keepon is one of our bus ladies who has had her baby boy! EDD was 8/1/15 although by her dates it should have been 1/1/15. Baby born this morning at 9.18am weighing 5lb2oz!

I'm on the fb group but promised not to leave this group so I'll keep you all posted.

I had a bit of a melt down this evening Dec! I'm so tired, uncomfortable and just had enough! Desperately want to meet my baby. DH being v sweet and keeps focussing on all the lovely things we'll do once s/he is born.

This weekend would be a great time to have a baby I've decided so it's back to natural induction methods tomorrow for me I think now our visitors have left.

Elizadoesdolittle · 26/12/2014 23:16

I'm very glad to have made it past Christmas day without giving birth. Had a lovely couple of days and actually been quite relaxing even though my girls have been totally wired and hyper. They've been so good though.

My pil live 10 mins down the rd and we were there yesterday afternoon/evening. We put the girls to bed there and then they bought them home 11am this morning so me and DH had a lovely lie in. I had tea in bed which was just bliss. Going to be a long time before that hapoens again.

So exciting to hear if labour and birth stories. I'd like to avoid labour tomorrow as we are off to a friends who have a get together organised with lots of our friends who all have kids and then baby can come whenever it pleases. Although DH would rather avoid 29th as he's due to play golf!

It's nice to read about everyone's Christmas. Glad to hear they have generally been good ones.

Pesto11 · 26/12/2014 23:26

Ahh congrats to keepon

Please keep us non Facebook ppl posted. Such lovely news after our long journeys together!

Usual bh over here and nothing else...
I'm so bored that I just want baby here already. Semi Regretting starting maternity leave too early... And all this extra time with in laws... Arrghhhh

Thanks Cheshire. Fab to hear about all the original posters babies as well Smile sorry to hear you had a meltdown too. I think I may be with you on the natural induction methods. Having originally said I didn't want baby to come until after the 2nd jan, I now would be very happy to have baby at any time Grin (here's hoping he/she is listening) I was hoping that the rules would apply that second baby come earlier (Ds born at 39+4) but Dh came at 34 weeks and both bil's were over 10 days late as mil kindly reminded me! So maybe not!
eliza I am also feeling relief that we have made it past the Christmas festivities, was sure baby was going to come in the middle of it all.
mad I have a tens machine too and totally agree that it is like something out of the next generation. I have no idea how in going to remember what to do with it, think I will end up just pressing lots of random buttons (makes mental note to re read the instructions tomorrow as it's been a while).
Oooh I wonder who will be next too. Exciting times!

Dec2013mummy · 27/12/2014 02:07

Oh and actually I remember dm saying my older sister was 4 days early, I was 4 days late! Arghhhh! Could be a while yet. My original due date was 8th as well so especially if I were to go by that one!

Pesto11 · 27/12/2014 05:29

39 weeks!!!

Come on baby... Pleeeeeeease come out!!!

HulaHoopsInTheBath · 27/12/2014 08:55

Morning all! What great news about keepon and the safe arrival!!!

TENS machines - yerp, totally confused this end too. Himself is into complicated engineering stuff so he has been told he is in charge of that one. Its still in the box in the bag so I am sure he will be working it out when its needed!

Cheshire I had a rough night too. SO massive and uncomfortable now. I put a towel and a maternity sheet under me in bed incase my waters go and it was getting on my nerves something awful. I agree with Mad recon you will be next!

Does anyone know when the next full moon is?? That could get us all started.

39+1

HenriettaTurkey · 27/12/2014 09:00

I can second massive & uncomfy. And weirdly, whenever I wake up, no matter how many pillows etc I've had, I always have a sore ear, from where I've lain on it!

I must have a really really heavy head... Hmm

It's fairly random really.

We are having a 'not today, baby' day as I live in a pennine village & there's 6-8" snow here. Luckily I'm a few weeks off delivery but you never know!

Is anyone else snowed in?

LittlePink · 27/12/2014 09:20

Another one to add to the list of people having rubbish nights sleep. I am uncomfortable but I think the main problem is anxiety over when and how this baby is going to come. My back is not holding his weight now he's dropped really low and I am really banking on an early arrival but like others have said I think I'm in for the long haul at this rate. No signs of anything imminent. My sister got my hopes up saying she had an awful back for 2 days before she had her ds so to watch out as it might be a sign but it's not cramps it's more injury like in nature where I can't stand up straight.

Had a good chat with myself this morning to try to calm down the impatience and to tell myself I have no control over when and how and if I keep this in mind perhaps I'll start to get a bit more sleep than lying awake waiting for something to happen.

Tens machine wise, glad so many have got one. I really rated mine last time. Think it was a mama tens. I've got the same again this time. I remember in labour last time they needed to put a clip on baby's head but the clip wouldn't work. Turned out the tens machine was interfering with it but it took them ages to work it out until a doctor suddenly said turn that tens off and the clip started working.

Well have a good day everyone and hope things start moving for us all soon!

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/12/2014 10:07

I seem to be going against the grain and sleeping really well. Aside from a toilet trip and a guzzle of gaviscon needed I'm quite comfy. DD1 came and woke me up at 8:45 Shock I thought it was around 7am! I doubt it will last and certainly won't once baby is here so am trying to make the most of it.

After much deliberation I think we've finally sorted a girls name but DH has just asked what our boys name is and then said "that's a bit shit" after agreeing ages a go so looks like its back to the drawing board on that one. Although it's bound to be a girl so I'm not too panicked.

SK28 · 27/12/2014 10:22

Morning ladies. I'm feeling pretty uncomfortable too and really had a bit of a miserable Christmas.

DH has been milking man flu for days so was horrid company Tuesday through to Christmas evening. This coincided with time with my family and he was rude and grumpy. As soon as I'd driven us to his family he perked up - still moaning but actually smiling and making conversation and not being rude. We've ended up here with his family longer than planned because his mum just assumed we'd stay and he hasn't corrected her. I hate it here. I get forced to eat too much food, the house is kept at like 400 degrees, it's boring because they just sit in separate rooms and watch TV (there are 6 of us here and 3 TVs constantly on plus laptops and iPads), our bed is really uncomfortable for me and I can't take a bath because the bathtub is used as my BiLs' dirty laundry basket. I've said to DH that we are leaving today and going via IKEA so he can buy and build sruff for me to make up for his inadequacy this Christmas - but he didn't come to bed till 2am so goodness knows when he will be up. I have been awake for hours but can't face the family without him so am stuck in our room switching between phone and Kindle till he wakes up..

He seems to have given me his cold so my throat is really sore Sad And bump wise, baby has been really active lately which is lovely but most of the activity is in my ribs, which hurts! I can no longer dress my feet at all or get up from the sofa unassisted either... I'm ready for baby to come now but we have a wedding I really want to attend on 10th (when I will be 38+5) so kind of need it to stay put till after that...

Sorry for the big moan but it is nice to know I'm not alone - although wish none of us had the discomfort!

sunshineandbiscuits · 27/12/2014 10:48

Hello! Sorry for not posting on here for ages, we have been insanely busy as both mine and DW's work have been utterly crazy. I've still been keeping up to date with everyone's news though. Congrats to keepon Grin!!! Thanks to cheshire for letting us non-fb'ers know. It's really exciting to start hearing about new arrivals Smile

I started mat leave on Christmas Eve but it still feels very unreal. I don't think it will really sink in until DW goes back to work on 5th Jan. We are enjoying finally starting to clear out the study and turn it into a nursery - our guest room is currently a piled high with flat pack furniture boxes and other baby things. Fingers crossed that the baby doesn't turn up early as we could really do with a good week to get things sorted before her arrival! Tempting fate, I know.

Late pregnancy is not treating me too badly but I too have been sleeping really badly. Like a lot of other people on here, I find myself wide awake (and starving hungry) at 3am every night, no matter how tired I am. I suppose it is good practice for a newborn...

I better go and pack my hospital bag now. I have already been told off by the midwife once!

CallingAllEngels · 27/12/2014 11:24

I'm still here too and like chesh posting here and on fb.

I seem to alternate between one good night's sleep and one awful. Baby is definitely engaged but still growing and giving me heartburn.

39+6 and the annoying messages (any news?) have started.

sk sorry to hear DH has been ill, grumpy and you're stuck at ILs. My PILs are being a pain atm but we don't have to stay with them so easy to escape.

Hi sunshine was wondering where you'd got to! Enjoy ML.

It's been snowing here since we got up, but no chance of getting snowed in. In the middle of a city, 5 mins from hospital/birth centre and live in a country with very few hills!

DS was here at 39+4 dec but this baby hasn't read the schedule apparently! My older Dbro was a few days early but I was 10 days late and my DM had to be induced.

Joining the bored and ready for baby to arrive club. Started ML at 36w so have had 4 weeks off though notn4 very relaxing weeksmwith potty training, chicken pox and antibiotics for ds, ILs playing up and DS's nursery now closed for Christmas holiday. I'm exhausted!

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/12/2014 11:33

sk28 That all sounds a bit rubbush Sad hope things improve with a successful ikea trip.

DD1 was born at 40+1 and DD2 at 39+4 so both fairly close to due date. I was bang on my due date. This baby doesn't seem eminent but then I haven't had big builds up to labour so it's hard to tell.

sk I've been playing the hiding in the bedroom game this morning too cz in laws are downstairs! Grr
Feel like a naughty teenager! Not in the mood for them.
Don't want to go sales shopping but might just have to go and browse around as an excuse to get away from this boredom with them!

Feeling more twinges down below but baby still kicking at my ribs too! Great(!)

Enjoy your weekend everyone... : )

SK28 · 27/12/2014 15:07

Pesto, that's exactly it! Feel like a naughty teenager, just an enormous preggo one!

We were literally about to leave and MiL made tea. I'm tearing my hair out!

Dec2013mummy · 27/12/2014 16:20

Sorry so many of you are having such a frustrating time at the in laws. I have to say I am lucky to get on well with pil, although we have had a few choice words where myself and Dh have put it foot down this year (to the extent they were told that Ds was ours, not their's and they either accepted they did things in the way we wished or they wouldn't see him) sounds very harsh but it put a stop to the nonsense that was happening before and we are so so much closer now. Myself and mil had a honest and open conversation about how we felt and it was very eye opening to see things from her side too (like the fact after Dh had a potentially life threatening illness she was struggling to let go).
Anyway, I am at my parents and being spoilt which is lovely :) Dh left me to lie in until 11 as well and I actually slept for a few hours. I'm still absolutely shattered though! Could do with longer than a 2 hour stretch.
pesto I agree with the ribs situation!

Flambola · 27/12/2014 16:31

Hi all. I'm montymonty. I was in the Fb group but have deactivated my account.

I know this is supposed to be a happy place but I just wanted to let you know that our little boy was born sleeping on Christmas Day.

I wish you all the very best and congratulations to all of you have already given birth. X

HenriettaTurkey · 27/12/2014 16:45

I'm so sorry, flambola. Thinking of you and your little one.

CallingAllEngels · 27/12/2014 16:51

Oh flambola I'm so sorry. Thinking of you. x
