Oh cheshire somethings going on by the sounds, how super exciting!!! A walk is a great plan.
I have just been out with DD for a waddle. Hot curry last night. Nothing has happened and I am feeling amazingly well and full of energy - so I am thinking it will be the long haul (or Christmas day) for me, especially if little lady is as awkward as her father! It was a real tease having my show then nowt more. Boo!

Mad your day yesterday sounds terrible. Hope you have a fab one today to more than make up for it Smile chocolate might help!

Little sounds like your friend didn't think. The thought of a horrid cold on top of labour is hellish.

Eliza hope your DD enjoyed the m/w app as much as mine did when I took her last week. Her little face when she heard the HB was lovely.

Christmas eve tomorrow!! Xmas Smile

That's a lot of hot water Mad but will be well worth it!

Baby has decided that after last nights thoughts of coming out s/he will stay put a bit longer.... It's clearly comfy in there! Grin

Off to DAU again tomorrow... Last week when I was there they said come back 9am Christmas Eve for monitoring and then see my diabetes mw for assessment & sweep (if I decide to have one)... Fine with that as we'd have all day to gauge after the sweep at 10am if something will start or not... Letter arrived today for appointment at DAU 11.30 & no diabetes mw apt! I've tried calling and left messages requesting a call back 3 times but no answer/call back so I'm turning up at 9am tomorrow with DH! We were verbally told 9am because DH is supposed to be at cathedral in the afternoon so gives him time to know if he needs to call in if labour starts... Grrrr!

After a few hours sleep I've been up since 4am! Insomnia is great isn't it!?
Baby is being naughty and pushing/grinding down on my pelvis & cervix! Very uncomfortable! Hoping its a good sign for my sweep later this morning... Time will tell!

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/12/2014 07:41

cheshire good luck for your sweep.

Rubbish night sleep her too and I normally have no trouble sleeping. Perhaps it's all the Christmas excitement!

No sign of this baby arriving yet which is fine by me. It's got to stay put till the 28th now!

Nyancat · 24/12/2014 09:17

Good luck for your sweep Cheshire. Another one keeping legs and everything else crossed that nothing happens between now and after Christmas day. Dd is super excited about tomorrow and I can't wait to.see her face in the morning once santa has been.

cheshirem2b · 24/12/2014 10:46

Went to the hospital and monitoring was all fine. Fluid was staying at a normal level and movements were good.
Midwife tried to do a sweep - cervix nicely thinned but not quite open so she couldn't do the sweep. While she was in there she did massage the cervix to help it along but thinks I've got a few days before anything properly gets moving. Would like baby to stay put now until Boxing Day but if things don't go on their own induction is booked for 1st Jan! Exciting! All being well in 8 sleeps or less I'll have my baby! Grin

CallingAllEngels · 24/12/2014 14:30

Am booked in for sweep next week at 40+2. Baby engaged at mw appt today. Just wait and see it arrive tomorrow and upset my best laid plans now!

Same here nyancat - don't want to miss DS's face tomorrow morning!

Dec2013mummy · 24/12/2014 17:59

cheshire sounds like things are going in the right direction Smile
Well I lost what i would have thought is the last of my plug today (have been loosing some for weeks) sorry for tmi! Dh has talked to the bump and told them to stay put until 27th at least as we have so much going on the next 2 days, including hosting a big dinner on Boxing Day (Dh is cooking and has already made the desserts Grin) so achey now though and feeling a bit fed up of being so uncomfortable. Ah well. It's Christmas Grin

Pesto11 · 24/12/2014 18:34

For those ladies who have lost/ are losing their 'plug' - do you feel your baby is really low down now?

Some weird discharge going on here but although baby's head is 'engaged' the rest of the baby is still quite high.
Not sure if it's 'show' or general yuckiness!

For me the show wasn't like bits of discharge coming away, it was a big glob of mucousy jelly with streaks of blood in it. I went into labour within a couple of hours of it.

On that note, have a lovely xmas eve and day everyone and let's keep those babies all tucked up until at least Friday night!

Pesto11 · 24/12/2014 21:16

Thank you ladies.
Don't think it's the show then. Baby still kicking away up high and no other signs all day.

Have a lovely day tmrw everyone. Enjoy family time x

Merry Christmas ladies!
No baby here! After bring v uncomfortable following my examination yesterday I had an afternoon of intense BH again. This time though they stopped when I went for a bath so was just likely the effect of the examination. Since then I've managed a whole nights sleep & feel a lot more comfortable this morning.
so, I hope all these babies behave themselves and you all have a magical Christmas!

HulaHoopsInTheBath · 25/12/2014 07:20

Oh Cheshire, how exciting to be able to say how many sleeps left. Glad you got a good rest!!

I've had terrible period type backache all evening yesterday. I hope it's just my size!

So up, not that early, and DD (6) is sound asleep. I want to give her a poke so she can come look downstairs, lazy little monkey!!! Lol

Happy Christmas all, from another one hoping her baby behaves and stays put today!!!!

hula Ds is still asleep too, although he won't have a clue what's going on anyway. My sister is coming over in an hour and I am very excited as I don't see her very often and she hasn't seen Ds for ages! Ds has decided to properly start walking this week! He is so little it looks really cute! Oooohhhh I'm excited now, having lot really felt excited up till now :)
cheshire I'm really hoping I don't sound horribly creepy for saying this but I dreamt your baby came today! Ha! My dreams are normally so bizarre at the moment, this was quite a normal one for me. I know dreaming about someone I don't even know is very strange. Sorry! I think I'm just so excited for us all Grin
Happy Christmas (again)

Happy Christmas all! hope you all have a lovely day and babies all stay where they are for today. Dd decided to be up and down from 3.30 to 5 which was wonderful as you can imagine. She was finally talked back into bed and back up again at 7. She's so excited that santa came and is just away out with dh to try out her new bike!

LittlePink · 25/12/2014 10:25

Happy xmas everyone. Dd gave us a lie in until 6.30. I have been awake most of the night and got a nudge from dh at 6.30 saying she's calling do you want to get up with us. Yes but no. Anyway I did. My back has gone as of yesterday. Had a bath and some paracetamol and got some tummy ache but mild. Started to wonder if it's some kind of weird back labour but doubt it. He's not allowed to come today!

Hope you're all well and babys behave themselves today!

Noooooooo

Nyancat · 26/12/2014 09:55

Morning all, no Xmas babies? Dd managed to sleep all night, so did I, then I was thinking it's one of the last full nights sleep I'll probably have for a long while. d-day minus 3, if nothing happens soon I'm being induced on Sunday eek! 38 weeks today!
