Lovely Xmas eve treat for you to look forward to (!)
Glad baby is doing well tho. A New Year's Day baby!!!

LittlePink · 18/12/2014 17:36

That is so exciting to have a date booked in Cheshire! You never know you might go into labour before then.

I'll be having my first sweep week after next so hope it starts things off. The latest he can come is 15th jan but after his due date of the 4th I will cry every day if he hasn't arrived!!

KateTheHuman · 18/12/2014 18:26

Unless something goes horribly wrong at my scan tomorrow my mw said they won't do a sweep until 40+7 which will be jan 8th. Jan 1st will be awesome cheshire. I don't want bub to come before Christmas.

Morning everyone!

All the best at your scan today Kate Smile

Cheshire I too think NY is a good date for baby, and it could still be sooner of course.
Mad well impressed with your swimming efforts. I haven't been for weeks and weeks, I feel like a lazy toad!

I had my show this morning so things are happening, although I think it can be a few weeks still can't it?? I don't remember having one with DD. Don't want to go into labour at tonights work Xmas party!!! Shock

38 weeks today!

KateTheHuman · 19/12/2014 09:00

Good luck kate

hula DD1 was born less than 3 hours after my show Grin Hope you get to go to your xmas party.

How exciting. Things are really starting to happen. Not for me though please!

38 wks today.

cheshirem2b · 19/12/2014 11:34

hula how exciting. Hope you get your party though!
TMI but I'm getting quite a lot of discharge now and getting regular period pain type cramps so I'm reading in to these symptoms and hoping it's the start of something but trying not to get too carried away!

Off out for the afternoon with DH today which will be nice.

Got in-laws visiting on Sunday though.... Argh! They are the same age as my nan so an older generation. However their personal hygiene is shocking and their house is dirty. Their other son lives with them so no excuses that they are too old etc. it just turns my stomach. DH is embarrassed by it but despite trying he can't get them to change their ways! sigh

Pesto11 · 19/12/2014 11:37

Things are moving on- a show- think we had some ppl due around Xmas week didn't we? Need to look on spreadsheet.

Feeling gross over here. Woke up drenched in sweat and still sweating buckets as I go about my household chores today. What on earth is that about?
On closer inspection and boredom I've noticed that my hands and feet have ballooned recently. Fingers are like sausages!

Bit more housework then another shower methinks!

Pesto11 · 19/12/2014 11:41

cheshire my mother in law has disgusting habits. She's always here so there's no getting away. She will wipe her hands on the sofa or glass table and leave marks everywhere ... Feel like I'm wiping up after a child! Only I could say something to a child but mother in law is offended very easily by anything I say so can't say anything to her. Grr.

I'm feeling sweaty and 'dischargey' -generally yucky too!
Come on body- get a move on!

cheshirem2b · 19/12/2014 11:44

Pesto it's hard isn't it?! I just don't get why people think it's ok to bring bad habits to other peoples houses? Grrrrr!

I'm off for my shower too having done housework this morning... Sweaty and generally feel "meh" so hoping an afternoon out will help. Hope you get a relaxing afternoon!

Nyancat · 19/12/2014 11:48

Hi everyone, can't believe how many people are at 38 weeks, bound to be a couple of arrivals soon with all the symptoms everyone is talking about. I have made it past the date I had dd so pleased about that, felt v twitchy yesterday in case it started. growth has slowed down though so I'm booked for induction on 29th, looks like I will prob have a 2014 baby rather than 2015 after all. can't decide whether it would be better to go myself before then or be induced. first birth was fast and bit worried I might not make it to hospital this time round if it happens naturally!

Dec2013mummy · 19/12/2014 11:53

Morning all. How exciting ??there are things actually beginning to happen!
I had period pains and more intense braxton hicks for 48 hours. Felt like absoloute rubbish, like I had been hot by a truck, then last night it all disappeared and I suddenly had loads of energy. I was acting really drunk last night, just really giggly and stupid. Drive Dh mad. I got 3 hours sleep then was awake from 2-5.30 wide awake. I finally got back to sleep and got up with Ds this morning. I then felt te urge to go for a walk. So walked to the shops and back, all it did was make me feel sick! Crazy! I would prefer baby to come after Christmas now, but to be honest a happy healthy baby is far more important!
Cheshire sounds like you have a lovely day planned. Good luck kate and hula I also hope you get to your party Grin

KateTheHuman · 19/12/2014 13:14

So went for my last scan this morning. Bub is now estimated at 9lb 10! Haha. The scanner didn't want to tell me the weight. Then proceeded to say "You weren't planning a vaginal birth were you? I think they will be suggesting a C section."

Cue me in the waiting room gearing up for a proper fight with the consultant. No way am I agreeing to major surgery just because they think baby is big. I'm having a natural birth blah blah. James saying he'd prefer a C section if it was him. Clueless man. Mum texting saying Trust the experts! Got my back then mum! Basically winding myself up....

Turns out she was a right scaremongering scanner! And my consultant is awesome! She specifically said they don't do elective c section for big babies! She's happy to let nature take it's course as scans can be 20% out anyway. She didn't know why I was having growth scans anyway as baby was following a normal line. Suggests a sweep at 40 weeks but that's it. Happy days! So relieved! Not going back to hospital now until baby arrives! Wheee! ???

Very exciting reading how the induction dates are booked and symptoms starting etc. the only symptoms I've got is shooting pains down below which are really painful. I was awake between 2 and 5 this morning. Wide awake. Feel ruined now. Early night tonight!

HulaHoopsInTheBath · 19/12/2014 15:40

Nothing more has happened this end, feeling ready for tonights festivities after an amazing 4 hour nap (had the been hit by a truck feeling this morning too dec)
Mad hoping you stuck to your plans and had your do nothing day Smile

Cheshire I had a lot of period pain cramps last night then woke up and a show this morning. They may have been connected.

kate glad your scan went well. My DD was my first and a 10lb 2 natural birth. Midwife says this one is also a "good size" so only time will tell if I can beat my own record. Hope you've not bought too many new baby sizes.

Its so exciting waiting to see who's going to be next. Sounds like many of us are in the happy to wait till after Christmas club though!!

cheshirem2b · 19/12/2014 16:53

Kate glad it all went well! Baby might be big but never mind - baby will be just fine and so will you!

Dec sounds like you're gearing up for something there... Happy and healthy is the main thing though.

We went to a National Trust property today for our afternoon out yo find it was closed! Haha! Instead we jumped in the car, went for late lunch and did the last of our Christmas shopping. Had a fun afternoon and now home with the Christmas lights on ready for a relaxing evening (on my birthing ball with some raspberry leaf tea)!

Dec2013mummy · 19/12/2014 21:15

kate I'm glad your scan went well. I was told with Ds that he was off the charts and would need to be induced. They did nothing to put me at ease. (I was already being treated for anxiety and panic attacks about the birth so that really helped). Ds was 7.12 so hardly off the charts born at 39+3.
Omg I am literally ready to kill tonight. My hormones must be going through the roof. I literally want to scream at anything and everything. I tried having a bath but that didn't calm me down. I'm having to really restrain myself so that I don't go mad at someone for no reason! Arghhhhhhhh! Had enough now (although I would still like baby to arrive after. Grist as) just all the symptoms to go away for a whole. Aching like mad again and tightenings constantly! Rant over!
Sorry about that, feel better for sharing though.
little I feel your pain. Sorry you didn't sleep well either. Its so hard to keep going isn't it!
hula I hope you are enjoying your night out Grin
Anyone psychic and can tell us all when to expect out babies? Would be a great help Smile
I'm so excited to see who is next. I wonder if we will have a Christmas baby or a first of the new year. Exciting Smile

Dec2013mummy · 19/12/2014 21:17

Sorry about the typos. I still haven't learnt my lesson to read back.
Was supposed to Christmas not that silly nonsense and while not whole! Sorry

Pesto11 · 19/12/2014 23:06

I sleep so badly at night that tonight I'm trying a new tactic...
I'm staying awake later than normal in the hope that I'll be so shattered that I'll sleep through (after my 2 loo visits)

Hope you sleep well dec and to everyone else too.

38 weeks in the morning!!!

Pesto11 · 20/12/2014 05:46

Wide awake

Hmm... What to do...
