Well despite tempting fate by going away for the weekend there's no news. Quite fed up now as I just can't sleep for any long period of time - oh well might as well get used to it. Just had some curry but afraid I can't stand it very hot!
Congrats Luboo & welcome Purpleluce.

taffy101 · 22/10/2006 21:31

Hi
supposedly 3 days to go. Congrats to new mums and dads.
Had pains in toysRus today and considered sticking around to see if my waters broke and might get free stuff but chickened out and told dd it was time to go home as mummy's tummy was hurting. She started pegging it round the store saying 'i just need to play with this, and this, and this....' As soon as we got to the car the pains stopped but I still went home and nothing happened since except pooing alot (tmi i know - but is it relevant???)
Hope LO doesn't come tonight as dh is working till 7am and inlaws (needed to look after dd) are away till tomorrow!!! Eek its bound to happen now.

Good luck to everyone (how many?) being induced tomorrow, hope you all start by yourselves tonight - sending good vibes for you.
BTW how do I get my name on that due date list? [stupid emoticon]

youngmum21 · 22/10/2006 21:43

Congratulations new mummies!!!!

Been having period pains on and off all evening - not amounting to anything, due date tomorrow (last due date!) so hopefully something will happen, it is also my birthday tommorrow so would be wierd if she came then.

dh just asked me "would you like some sp**k from me to get you on your way tonight?"!!!!!!!!!!! ... oh how I wish I had never read that to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor bloke - can't knock him for trying I suppose!!!

Good luck for tommorrow ladies
xx

agrimum · 23/10/2006 02:52

Anybody up? Fed up with getting achy in the afternoon evening, but nothing next morning. Bah humbug.
Another night of seeing the dawn in I suppose.
Congratualations to latest additions. Becoming more jealous by the day.

DogMum · 23/10/2006 07:56

Marthahm, thinking of you today. Hope it all happens quickly. Looking out for your and Tigerlion's announcements.

Welcome Purpleluce and congratulations Luboo.

Nic1976, you've got me worried about superglue. Not so much as a twinge here and babies popping out all around me. Gave the baby a talking to yesterday, but I might have to be a bit more stern next time.

wuzzlefraggle · 23/10/2006 09:26

hi everyone!

well...tomorrow is my due date and still nothing (apart from the period pains and tight feelings in my stomache which ive been getting for about a week now anyways). trying to sleep is nigh on impossible, im sick of peeing and always seem to be bloddy hungry! lol these last 2 or 3 days been feeling a little bit sick too...wonder how far over my dates i'll be...

Luboo - congratulations!!!

Purpleluce -welcome to the thread!!

Marthahm - hope that all goes well with the induction today

purpleluce · 23/10/2006 09:37

Morning all!

Sounds like a few babies due today - best of luck all, look forward to hearing your news.

Girlygale - maybe fate will intervene and you will share a birthday. Has anyone else noticed patterns of birthdays in their families? My mum/sister and I are all in Sept and my dd and this one are both due in Oct (and before you ask I do have sex more than once a year Although dh may dispute this espec with this pregnancy!

A good friend of mine is preg with her second who is due 2 days after her first and I know someone else with kids 4 years apart born on the same day! Weird.

Gingeme · 23/10/2006 10:39

Good morning ladies, Had a big show about an hour ago and am getting some period pains like a heavy period too. Had a rather messy pooh too. Off to Morrisons now and to the library. Scrubbed the bathroom too just in case.
Good luck to all you ladies being induced today. Hope all goes well for you.
Catch you ladies later maybe

whiffy · 23/10/2006 11:02

quick hello as suddenly seem to have my hands full.....
congrats all who had babies last week, looking forward to hearing form Martha and the girls being induced/swept this week...
Welcome Purpleluce, think you must be the last joiner on this thread that stretches back to last January...
Emily - I have a fab reflex/reiki therapist if you want another bash at getting things moving. Her name is Jane and she practices in Faversham at Brogdale Centre. Her no is 01795 533666. she got me going on my first PG and is fab - she treats loads of pg women and has something like 9 children herself... cripes.

Not wanting to wind you lot up as you have enough fretting on your plates, but I am seriously tempted to change my nickname on here to PelvicDoors

Swizzler · 23/10/2006 12:12

Gingeme: sounds like you're on your way - good luck!

Best of luck to those being induced today - Tigerlion should have her LO by now as well

Who's going to end up with the biggest / smallest baby? I think Sallyrosie has had the biggest so dar at 9 lbs odd - anyone going for a 10 lb-er?

DashingRedhead · 23/10/2006 12:48

Hi everyone,

Congrats to the happy mums of the new arrivals and good luck to those being induced today.

I still have technically until Thursday to go, but am trying not to get hung up about due date. Can't help wondering if something is going to happen because all of a sudden walking has become incredibly difficult. Got loads of BHs yesterday afternoon and have now had constant nagging ache low down the bump since last night and disturbed night from pains. Could this be it? Having said that, could be a false alarm I suppose...

wuzzlefraggle · 23/10/2006 13:34

whiffy - LMAO @ pelvic doors

ive decided to go to morrisons today to do a big stock up shop. im getting paranoid when ever i go out now, so i thought we'd best get the shop done now as dh hates going shopping alone lol (will have to wait till he gets back from work fiirst tho)

i wonder how tigerlion's induction went.

youngmum21 · 23/10/2006 13:39

wuzzle i know wot you mean bout getting worried to go out, ive got a few more days to go then u but am scared to go any where with out dp my due date is this sun and dp is lke oh we can do this and that at the weekend but to be honest i think i just want to hibernate from fri lol xx

catgirl · 23/10/2006 13:49

congrats luboo - love those names - my ds was born on 17th too!

good luck everyone else... will be watching for any news.

wuzzlefraggle · 23/10/2006 13:51

youngmum - lol, its a state of constant panic (and, in my case at least, feeling like an unsociable git lol)isnt it? do you feel like things are on the move?

youngmum21 · 23/10/2006 13:54

wuzzle- nope nothing not even a twinge or a show lol. Well the only things that have changed is my indigestion has calmed down i have a bit of an appitite again and ive started sleeping better not sure if those are gud signs lol!!!

Wot bout you?

wuzzlefraggle · 23/10/2006 14:01

yeah, had some things that have made me think that the baby will be here in the not too distant (well, i rekon the next week or so maybe)

like i have period pains and stomache tightenings a LOT, ive had some of that snotty type dischargy stuff (yuck lol)...that type of thing.

when do you have to go see your midife next?

youngmum21 · 23/10/2006 14:09

Well i sumetime have like an period type ache i guess but im not sure if it just my imagination i get bh and they have got stronger so maybe more signs then i thought!!!

i got to see midwife next tues so ill be 40+2 but im hoping lo will come on time!!!
Wot bout you have you got an appoinment soon?

wuzzlefraggle · 23/10/2006 14:18

sounds good..it all means that your gearing up for the big heave

i go to see my midwife next monday if the babys not arrived or i dont go into labour b4 that day (i'll be 40+6) and then shed want to see me again when im 40+10 to talk about booking for induction (which i really should research and try and get some info on it before hand)

youngmum21 · 23/10/2006 14:21

well i guess if i see midwife at 40+2 she will make another appointment at 40+9 for a sweep (which im not keen on but iguess if it helps and it an option i best go for it)hopefully though i wont have to go that over due i think a week is going to seem like a long long time if our los dont come!!!

wuzzlefraggle · 23/10/2006 14:28

very true, its uncomfortable enough as it is. - are u going to try breast feeding? theres a really interesting thread on the pregnancy boards about feeding infront of other people thats really interesting, and i must admit, ive been having a few worries similar to some of the posters on there (eg, people that would be uncomfortable seeing me bf, like close family members etc)

youngmum21 · 23/10/2006 14:39

yep am defo trying breast feeding!!! Yeah i have been reading thry that thread it very interesting, i am quite worried about breast feeding in front of others especially my ils as my dp family are muslim i do not think that feeding in front of them will be the thnig to do which means ill be leaving the room and will prob not go to there house for a few weeks as i will feel very uncomfortable!!!
I dont really fancy getting my boobs out in public either so am not sure wot im going to do about that as im sure i will go crazy if i have to say in for months on end sorry for long post!!!

wuzzlefraggle · 23/10/2006 14:44

the only people in my family that dont have a problem with me bf is my sil and her partner! my grandparents have said that id have to go upstairs in another room to bf and my father just feels a bit uncomfortable with it coz he still sees me as his little girl lol (silly i know, but i see what he means and how he feels). oh, obv dh doesnt have a problem lol
but at the same time theres a part of me that will be very self concious about bf too. as if there aint enough to deal with in pregnancy lol

youngmum21 · 23/10/2006 14:49

oh well im sure we will get thru it somehow i guess i may just have to express, if it going to upset ppl and make me feel uncomfortable but ill wait till lo is born then take it from there!!!

Any way i best go do some cleaning take care xx
