Hello new ladies!

Loving the scan news too Phyrn and MrsE!

I'm 7wks today but already showing and look loads further along. How the hell am I going to hide it for another three weeks? Am having a Harmony scan at 10wks and then results and nuchal at 12. Tbh I am shitting myself that something is wrong.

Alisvolatpropiis · 02/11/2014 16:14

My palate has reverted back to its toddler state.

Bland food only. I'm going to end up losing weight if my list of aversions gets any longer.

Deutschybaby · 02/11/2014 16:18

Rhubarb and custard boiled sweets have just revived me!!... after a long day of feeling uck. I was supposed to do loads of work today because DD has been with my parents, but I've been so lazy! Hoping I've been preserving energy for work tomorrow - I feel so lazy!

Chookford · 02/11/2014 16:24

ots Ive had that too... All seems fine so far!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 02/11/2014 16:43

Ots I had this this morning. There was masses of it! Let's hope there's safely in numbers. Grin

iwantkhaleesiseyebrows · 02/11/2014 17:08

I've had it too. Definitely had it in my last pg too - quite far on ( at about 28 weeks ) which made me panic but gp reassured me it's normal.

Hmmm 6+2 and nausea is making an appearance :-/

Yep I'm getting cm too - if it reassures you at all ots I didn't have any increase in cm when I had my miscarriage in May, so from my experience it's definitely a good sign x

htf2 · 02/11/2014 19:01

ots , anything, mrsE I have had this too, thought it really strange. I can't remember where I looked it up but something I read gave me the impression it might be coming from the cm plug forming if you see it at this stage? I got the impression it wasn't a problem. If only that were my only symptom! that said, I am finally eating and now worried something might be wrong... can't win! 12 week scan can't come soon enough! (2.5 weeks away)

Zaccheryquack · 02/11/2014 19:37

Good luck tomorrow Gakay. Hope all is well for you. Good luck for those of you that are back to school tomorrow too. Have committed myself to a trip to Ikea tomorrow with my neighbour and our two toddlers. Need to get out of it. Strikes me as the kind of place that will make me feel more sick! I do love their christmas wrapping stuff though so will try to get there in the next few weeks.

Alisvolatpropiis · 02/11/2014 19:48

By the looks of things I'll be having a vegetarian child as slowly but surely my ability to eat all meat is being eroded.

I feel terribly sick if I get too hungry, and also terribly sick immediately after I eat (and quite sick at most points in between!!). The thing is, although I am getting hungry I seem to be developing quite a long list of aversions and I'm also finding prepping food really hard going.

This last part is basically making me look like a lazy cow!! "I can't prepare the food as I feel so sick, but you need to make me something to eat or I'll be even more sick!" Anyone else?? Or just me?!

Also lots of lovely cm here Hmm

VintageCherry26 · 02/11/2014 20:25

Pasbeau, exactly the same for me! I can't even bare to cook for DP let alone cook anything to eat for myself!

My food aversion is anything that might be good for me! At the moment I just want bacon sandwiches. Also too tired to cook. Hopefully it gets better soon for all of us!

Good luck with the scan gakay

bubalou · 02/11/2014 21:32

Hey all - glad everybody's pregnancies seem to be progressing healthily - although sicky. Smile

I'm home from hospital having now officially been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum. Hmm

Yes it sucks arse but I feel a bit better having been on a drip over the course of a few days now. The hospital were much nicer then I thought and really recognised I wasn't exaggerating anything.

I've lost 13lbs now since becoming pregnant and I had keytones in my urine or something I don't really know but due to the dehydration and toxins or something.

I'm on cyclizine for now and they're going to monitor everything once a week unless I become very ill again and hopefully it should start to ease soon as I'm over 9 weeks now but they warned it doesn't always follow the standard 12 weeks of morning sickness and can last to over 20 weeks.

I really hope it doesn't. Good news is they say all of this shouldn't have any effect on the little one and the fact I had a positive scan already is a great sign.

Sorry for epic post. Am about to go to sleep. That's all I do now. Sleep and vomit. Wink

Night all you lovely preggo ladies.

Alisvolatpropiis · 02/11/2014 21:49

bub

You poor thing! Glad you're feeling better now and hope it goes dead on 12 weeks Smile

We do seem to be a sicky bunch don't we!

I'm a sucker for downton too sunbathing Wink

TheDetective · 02/11/2014 22:15

I've felt very very nauseous all day. Close to vomiting. I've also got excess saliva. These are my lead up signs to hyperemesis.

Looks like I spoke too soon. I think it's coming.

I'm 30 in 2 days. I've got a feeling this baby is going to give me one unforgettable present Hmm :(

Can I tentatively join you?

I got my BFP(s!) on Friday and I'm about 5+5. NHS predict my due date to be June 29th. It's my first time being pregnant and it's all very unreal at the moment. I have the sore, inflating boobs; a heightened sense of smell and, weirdly, sound; lots of backache, and pelvic/abdominal cramps as the uterus gets stretching. Oh, and crushing fatigue! I want to be happy but I'm obsessing at the moment, even worrying about the fact that I'm worrying!

Today I turned down dinner at my parents' house as the first thing they do when I get there is hand me a beer. I'm a rubbish liar so didn't want to face turning it down yet! It's a bit weird, but I know I'm not going to like all the attention from being pregnant. Apart from attention from my DP, of course, the poor sod Grin
