I live in my overdraft Misty414, it'll get sorted don't worry Thanks

So sorry to hear the LadyNovember, I don't think there's a lot you can do other than be there if doesnt want to help himself. Sad news about your dp's dad, horrible thing to go through especially when you will have to deal with a small baby at the same time. Wishing him the best possible outcome Thanks

Names are a nightmare and have been with our other two! Ds1 is James and it wasn't even on our list I just knew it was right when he was born. As I chose his I let dh choose ds2 from our shortlist of 3, and it was my least favourite and took me 18months to get used to. He looks like and Oscar to me but dh said a most definite no to it, our short list was Sam, Ben and Luke ds2 is luke.

Dh definitely felt the baby move last night so hopefully I can soon get the boys to be able to feel :)

Sorry to hear about the woes, LadyNov. Is it too early to say re FIL if the prognosis is hopeful? Are you able to leave work early? If not, I hope you finish soon.

Aw, Lauren, how stressful. Hang in there!

Mel, go on, tell us the OH's name ideas! :)

Very lucky here that DH and I totally agreed on DS's name (a name I wanted since my teens, 20 years later I still loved it, so grateful DH loved it too!), and now for DD we just agreed straight away. Phew.

How old are your boys, cinnamon?

I know a couple of lovely Riley's :)

Ds1 is 7 (will be 8 very soon after the baby is born) and ds2 just turned 4 FreedomHuntress. I also have a 13 yo stepson :)

I actually really like Harrison and Jackson, and am never offended if someone says they don't like what I like. DS's name is rather unusual, I don't expect everyone to like it (can't say, it will out me completely). Otherwise it would be a top ten name. DD's name is a bit more popular, but not in the top 300 last year.

A friend of mine has a Noah, he is about 12, and yeah, after she named him, it has just soared and soared. Personally, I think it is a horrible bible story and I wouldn't want to be associated with that.
And I think s/he got a lot of ark-related gifts!

FreedomHuntress · 08/11/2014 14:29

cinnamon, ah yes, the DS whose birthday is my EDD! :)
I knew your other DS just turned four, as mine did too, so I managed to remember that! :)
That's quite an even age gap you have between them all!

cinnamongreyhound · 08/11/2014 14:57

Yes that's why most people assumed this one was a 'surprise'! I've wanted another for over 2 years now but dh said no, I was just starting to get my head around it and he changed his mind still no explanation why just that he knew I wanted one Confused I didn't argue just had my coil whipped out! He will be 49 when the baby is here so I understand why not and he already has 3!

FreedomHuntress · 08/11/2014 15:17

Oh that's fab that he came round!
Four years is actually meant to be an optimal gap.

Siarie · 08/11/2014 16:57

When i don't feel movement for a while I get my doppler out. I did so this morning and the little bean was kicking it! I kept it steady and all you could hear was heartbeat then bang! Lmao

lady there isn't much you can do, maybe it's time one of his/her family stepped in rather than you. You have enough to handle right now.

Lauren82000 · 08/11/2014 20:02

Well what I thought was spotting was actually just a shade off what it normally is(discharge colour) so must be something small as it's not got worse and I've been busy today, not really rested.

Went to the cinema with DH and the baby did not like the loud noises. Was wiggling and rolling around like mad for about 20mins during the most loudest part. Oh and I wouldn't recommend interstellar to anyone I nearly fell asleep it was so slow starting off must of been an hour and a half in before anything actually happened! Shock

LadyNovember · 08/11/2014 21:33

Thanks for the support everyone. Had a long, honest chat with said friend, and feel much better now. He has scalded me for worrying and told me to concentrate on the baby, but easier said than done. Weve been best friends for about 12 years now, so he's a very important person to me!

Regarding DPs dad, he's having more investigations on Thursday, so we'll know more then, in the mean time, we're just trying to stay positive and hope for the best possible scenario.

Love hearing name suggestions, we're pretty settled on Myles Christopher, but who knows what name he'll "look like" when he comes! I know Myles/Miles is a really popular name in some parts, but it's not very common in this area.

On a super fun positive note, I nipped into Debenhams after work for a spot of retail therapy and picked these up. How cute?! Need to curb my fascination with cute cardigans, don't think the baby is gonna want a wardrobe full of them for summer time! Grin

Ahhh lovely! I keep looking for bits but so little is neutral!

I'm babysitting tonight and just woke up after about an hour sleeping on the sofa Blush

Hidingthefear · 08/11/2014 22:48

Mel0Drama My cousin chose Harrison as a middle name because people didn't think it was a "real" first name. She only chose it coz she fancied Harrison Ford. I really like Max until my friend said " you mean like a Maxi Pad" and iw as like well no not really. any my younger cousins dog is called max although im not sure that bothers me anyway. I've got a girls name picked out but i've told NOBODY, especially seen as my 3 boys names went down like a lead balloon with other people!

did you decide what to do about the triple test? We couldn't get the nuchal measurment because baby wouldn't play ball. And I got a phone call the other day asking if I still wanted tests (even after telling the midwife i wasn't bothering). The way we looked at it was that would the answer of it being high risk change our decision about whether to continue with the pregnancy and we decided it wouldn't. Even if I was high risk for something wrong I know i wouldn't want further testing anyway. but that's just my mind set and i know its a really difficult thing to decide on.

cinnamongreyhound · 08/11/2014 23:23

I had a cat called max with my ex Smile

RiverRocks · 09/11/2014 08:36

My first car was called Max. I love it, but DH has also vetoed it.

I also like Harrison Ford and Riley Finn but we have one of those surnames used as a first name as a surname if you get what I mean, so it just doesn't sound right.

Haha well I loved interstellar and the current reviews are amazing for it. Funny how people don't like certain films, I usually end up liking the films that get bad reviews.

My bean must not mind the loud noise as I didn't even feel one movement during it. Sometimes when I don't feel anything I forget I'm even pregnant! So weird.

I'm lucky that my DH and me have the same taste and ambitions. So we always love the same things, including names. There isn't one name he has said that I dislike and vice versa! Which makes picking a lot easier.

We've got our boy and girl names now, can't wait to finally start calling the bump it from tomorrow!

cinnamongreyhound · 09/11/2014 11:24

Lovely run with the dogs this morning, though I'll probably be falling asleep by 4!

Baby seems to like dh's voice and moves more when he's near me. It also quite often moves when I call him or text him, it's weird like it knows I'm thinking of dh!!

cinnamongreyhound · 09/11/2014 11:24

Oooo and I got a bargain stretch wrap sling Friday and it arrived yesterday, I even remembered how to wrap it Grin

I had the triple test last week on the basis I'd rather know if there was a high or a low risk, especially as I'm 38. Had to pay £27 for it too!

cinnamongreyhound · 09/11/2014 14:15

It's just a plain stretch wrap from
Victoria slinglady Mel0Drama. She had a few she was selling cheap as seconds because of a sewing machine malfunction but it looks fine to me! It's the same as my Kari me along I had with ds2 but that was borrowed and my friend wanted me to pay way more than I was prepared to to buy it so she sold it on eBay. It's a single piece of stretchy material that's thicker in the middle, I guess kind of hippy type. It doesn't have and rings/buckles etc just material.

Lauren82000 · 09/11/2014 17:08

I was naughty! Had steak for our tea tonight and fibbed told DH I could have it medium and in fact it turned out medium/rare and it was delicious. It's not like I have steak every night was just a one off and so glad I did was well worth it. Going to have gooey chocolate pudding and ice cream for pudding too. Yummy Smile

CherryLips1980 · 09/11/2014 19:42

I hope everyone has had a good weekend, am eagerly reading peoples boys names - we cant agree on one at all. Well. That isn't strictly true - the one name we both like is my ex husbands name, so that is an instant veto regardless.

Today has been DDs first birthday - I've spent the day being totally over emotional. We had a non party for her, we told various people 'we will definitely be home between 1pm & 3pm, if you fancy popping over, we'd love to see you but please don't feel obliged to come or bring a present ' and EVERYONE came! The house was packed, dog was beside himself with excitement. She's had a fabulous day and just to top things off, she waited till everyone was looking at her and then WALKED about 6feet!! No holding on, nothing! Proper walking. Massive emo moment, right there! Now its just DP and I, will she walk so we can film it? Will she hell! I am shattered now, she has had one half an hour nap all day and is still operating at full speed.

If you have a small person to buy for this Christmas, the Lost My Name book is beautiful. DD has had one for her birthday and I adore it.
