I'm actually quite happy that I have a gender scan for 16 weeks as that breaks up the time between scans.

About a week and a half until that, then I'm not having my 20 week scan until over 21 weeks.

At least I have the doppler to listen to the HB, I haven't had it out since my 12 week scan though.

Time seems to be speeding up, anyone else noticed?

RiverRocks · 30/10/2014 08:47

This is my 18 week bump. It's been this big for about 6 weeks, or feels like it to me.

Lauren82000 · 30/10/2014 08:52

Siarie time does seem to be speeding up but at the sometime it seems to be dragging as well. Feels like I've been pregnant forever but it's only been a few months still so many more to go.

RiverRocks · 30/10/2014 08:57

Sorry, had to post the photo off my phone Blush. Hope today goes okay for you Lauren, is DD's tummy any better?

I don't think time has speeded up yet, Siarie but I'm just waiting for it. It's only 8 weeks until Christmas please don't lynch me and then when I go back to work after Christmas I'll only have about 9 weeks or so until I start maternity (I work LONG days and can't see me feeling up to it when I get huge er) Grin

Yes she was fine when she woke up went to preschool quite happily. I think she just wanted some medicine and to sleep with mummy and daddy. She was really hot and clammy last night but when I took her temp it was fine so dunno what that was unless she had some trapped wind that can be painful and make you sweaty. Told them to let me know if she was sick or anything and left her to it. You feel mean but it instills good morals and work ethic for later life.

RiverRocks · 30/10/2014 09:34

Awe, bless. I'd probably be the same though Smile

Lauren82000 · 30/10/2014 10:15

Is it too early for lunch I'm really hungry today. Had a big bowl of porridge and just nibbled a bag of crisps because I wanted something salty. Still hungry though, I swear porridge doesn't keep you going till lunch at all I'm lucky if it lasts me an hour!

Ordered the jojomaman coat that has the removable panel (thanks to whoever put the link on here!)
Feels better to be getting a coat that is not just for a few month of pregnancy.
Also managed to win/buy a few maternity items on ebay like brand new mamalicious dress for £10- yippee.

I am more starving than iv ever been in my life- porridge or cereal for breakfast won't cut it- I have to make bacon sandwiches even before work- never done this in my life. Usually I'm a size 6/8 so il probably put on a few stones (this would not necessarily be a bad thing).

Hope everyone is feeling better and less sick!

TinyTear · 30/10/2014 11:13

I want cold because that coat is SO SO warm! it's like carrying a blooming duvet... not practical on rush hour tubes!

Lauren82000 · 30/10/2014 11:47

Ivegotacavetroll I'm a size 8 normally about 7stone dead. Last time I was pregnant I put on 2stone and I looked a lot better for it. Unfortunately 2 weeks after birth I was back in my normal jeans and had gone down to 7 &1/2 stone. Didn't take long for the rest to fall off either. It's a constant battle to keep the weight on I'm hoping I'll be a bit more successful this time at keeping the extra for longer. So far I've only put on half a stone.

I did end up eating at 10.30 and now I'm looking for something else! Think there's a bag of cashew nuts with my name on it in the cupboard.

Hidingthefear · 30/10/2014 12:58

Hello again mummy's to be! been catching up on all your chatter today seen as i've not been on for a while.

Glad to see everyone's hunger is picking up, i too tend to get peckish after my morning trip with my head down the loo!! i'm about 16+3 and still vomiting daily and nauseous in the evenings so i make the most of the early afternoon when I can actually eat something tasty.
anyone else still sick past 16 weeks? i'm feeling lonely on the sickness front. Most annoying thing is when people say, "aw don't worry it goes after about 14 weeks, how far are you?" and between gritted teeth i answer "just over 16 weeks"

Furniture and pram ordered from Mammas and Pappas, getting delivered Sat 22nd November (sometimes I worry i'm too organised) but seen as it's a gift from my mother I thought i'd order it now and show it all to her when she arrives in December (she lives in Spain)

Riverrocks loving the bump photo! my DH says he wants to take pictures of me so that he can put them in our baby scrap book, which I thought was a lovely idea.

Finally delved into the world of maternity clothes this week. New Look have a sale on and I managed to get 3 pairs of jeans, 3 vest tops and a dress for £45! think I will also be off to Ebay soon too like ivegotacavetroll

16 week appointment was quick and she gave me my urine sample back!! listened to baby's heartbeat with the dopler, now I feel guilty that DH didn't get to listen so i've bought one on ebay so he can have a go.
20 week scan and 24week midwife appointment already booked, roll on 4 weeks time!!!

wow, i've rambled on, apologies!!

kismac · 30/10/2014 15:32

Hi Hidingthefear, I'll be 16 weeks on Sunday and Im still got nausea and the odd puking spell, so I feel your pain. A friend of mine said it gets better round about 18 weeks. Fingers crossed.

foxyfemke · 30/10/2014 16:20

Hello! Just found this thread. Due on 19 April. Starting to show now, still beyond knackered though!

BananaToast · 30/10/2014 16:45

Gosh how miserable for you both to still be feeling so poorly. Fingers crossed it all comes to an end sooner rather than later!

Hi foxy - I'm due the 20th Grin

FizzyBubbly · 30/10/2014 17:38

Welcome Foxy!

Sorry to hear some of you are still feeling sick. 15 weeks today and am still nauseous but it's definitely easing.

A tip for those who don't have dopplers but want their OHs to hear the heartbeat - last time I was pregnant my MW suggested I record the heartbeat on my iPhone whenever she dopplered me. Recording was super clear and meant DH could hear the heartbeat too. So if you have a sound recorder on your phone it's worth asking your MW if you can record it!

IvegotaCaveTroll · 30/10/2014 17:42

I had two lunches again today- baked potatoe before I left house and another one as soon as I got to work. ....now... What times dinner?

IvegotaCaveTroll · 30/10/2014 18:07

Potato

TheBooMonster · 30/10/2014 18:14

welcome foxy

That's a fab idea fizzy Though not sure my DH is all that interested, MiL phoned within half an hour of me being out for the details earlier and he's not asked once!

Siarie · 30/10/2014 19:09

My nausea has eased up, I only feel sick now and again and I am actually sick when that happens. Two days in a week now or whatever, I was sick yesterday because I over heated.

I whipped the doppler out today to hear the heartbeat myself and it's getting louder and much easier to find these days.

Ooh foxy, we have the same date! Race ya! Ha ha.

Hidingthefear · 30/10/2014 21:44

Kismac Fingers crossed! 10 weeks of vomiting every day is wearing me out, I keep thinking i'll be happy to swap this for sleepless nights with baby when he/she gets here but i might take that comment back come April!!!

Welcome Foxy !!! (im now due 15th April) :D

Hidingthefear · 30/10/2014 22:03

i wonder if any of you can help. I'm looking to get DH some sort of Daddy book as a stocking filler for Christmas but don't have any ideas.
something maybe funny or light hearted and then maybe something he can read so he knows what to expect during labour or something.
he's genuinely interested`and enjoys our Sunday night read of what's happening this week in the pregnancy lol, so i know im lucky to have an interested hubby.
