Above I think. Not to bad though just very slight.

Haven't logged on for a few days but just caught up. Loving everyone's bump pics! So excited to start feeling movements in a few weeks!

14+5

Wineandchoccy · 28/10/2014 17:51

Hi everyone, I'm back from China, I'm very tired today and can't wait until it's bedtime. A chinese lady told me I am having a boy, we will have to see if she is right Grin

I had my 16week appointment today and heard the heartbeat for the 1st time which was lovely. All other checks were ok next appointment is at 25weeks.

20 week Scan in 3 1/2 weeks, I can't wait to see it again and see the changes since the 12 week scan.

Loving the bump photos, I'm not showing yet but will post a photo as soon as I am.

BonjourMinou · 28/10/2014 17:53

Hi everyone. This thread has fallen off my "Threads I'm on" list Shock so I guess it's time to type something! Not brave enough to post a bump pic, but mine is around the same size as lila35 , no neat bump for me Sad

Today I went to get the extra ultrasound for reassurance, baby is absolutely fine, saw the heart beating and baby wriggling around nicely, so everything is fine, so I'm pleased about that. Didn't get any extra pictures out of it though, they just did some quick measurements! Haven't had any problems since, either, so that's good.

Looking forward to finding out the sex of the baby now. I did originally say I was thinking about a surprise, but I just can't cope with the suspense!

I've had lots of people telling me I'm having a girl Wineandchoccy, some from scan pics and so just a feeling! Glad you had a good 16wk apt and you're back safely :)

I didn't want to find out with ds1 BonjourMinou but dh really needed to for his sanity so we did. With ds2 I was desparate to know, this time I don't really mind but we will find out for practical purposes. I know quite a few people who've found out and not told anyone else. Ds1's friends brother/sister is due 3 weeks before our baby and he knows but isn't allowed to tell. I think ds1 knows but he's doing well not telling me! I wouldn't trust a 7 year old if I didn't want anyone to know!

Anyone else not got a lot of body hair? I epilate my legs and there's pretty much nothing there the last few weeks!

BananaToast · 28/10/2014 21:24

We still haven't discussed names properly. I've had people tell me they are convinced it's a girl and others who are sure it's a boy so I have no idea. Can't wait to find out!

Siarie · 28/10/2014 22:10

First order of maternity wear arrived today, oh my god why don't they make all clothes that comfy? Elastic waist bands, comfy jeans, shorts that expand (for holiday). Seriously I'm going to wear this stuff when I'm not pregnant!

MrsS010814 · 28/10/2014 22:37

Where did you buy your clothes from siarie? I've been browsing online but not braved a purchase yet!

I've got an app on my iPhone which let's you listen to baby's heartbeat, I was skeptical at first but if def makes different sounds depending on who I've put it on (even the dog!) so am pretty sure it's real. Found heart beat twice now, its so magical!

TheBooMonster · 28/10/2014 22:58

giggles Sairie I never stopped wearing my maternity clothes because they were so comfy, Sam would go mental because I'd try and buy normal clothes then I'd go to mothercare :P I was devastated that my pregnancy pj bottoms ripped :(

Stuntman · 29/10/2014 08:11

Cinnamon your body hair grows more slowly when you're pregnant so hooray for not having to shave so often!

I got three pairs of maternity jeans yesterday (New Look and Mothercare) so hopefully they'll keep me going for a while. I was exasperated at the super skinny jeans though, how are you supposed to get them on and off when you have a massive bump?

I think I may have bought a baby carrier, a Connecta, but I'm waiting to see if my offer is accepted as the price was a bit high for me. I already have a woven wrap (Didymos Indio Aurora) that I bought before I knew I was pregnant intending to have it converted into two smaller wraps for me and a friend but I've decided to save it for the new baby. I'm still looking for a stretchy wrap, probably a Close Caboo, and a ring sling and possibly some daddy-friendly buckles as I just sold my Manduca before I found out I was pregnant. I suppose I'll need a pushchair too at some point!

sazzle82G · 29/10/2014 09:09

I went to pregnancy yoga last night. Ooo it was so nice. All very gentle. Strange being in a room full of pregnant ladies. Some of them were about ready to pop.

MissV84 · 29/10/2014 09:18

I thought I felt movement yesterday but maybe not... Come on next scan!

17+6

Lauren82000 · 29/10/2014 09:18

I've got no motivation today at all. Dropped DH off at work and DD at preschool but it was too early to go to town so I came home and ate half a packet of biscuits now I'm trying to motivate myself to go shopping but it's cold and I can't be bothered getting up but I have to go and pick something up and buy a present for DHs cousins baby who is imminently arriving.

BananaToast · 29/10/2014 09:44

sazzle I've booked myself on a pregnancy yoga course starting in three weeks, really looking forward to it!

I've not bought any proper maternity clothes yet but did buy a pack of three bump bands from New Look last week to take on holiday with me in case I outgrow my trousers while I'm away. A couple of pairs which were a bit loose on me pre-preg still fit fine but I can only just manage to get my tighter ones done up and they are definitely not comfortable! Have had to resort to a hair tie today. Looking forward to buying some maternity jeans but trying to stay in my normal ones for as long as I can because I know I'll soon get fed up of the lack of variety!

Siarie · 29/10/2014 09:46

This lot came from ASOS, seriously I thought a pair of skinny jeans were going to be a nightmare. These are stretchy like jeggings and are amazing and not expensive IMO (£30).

I really hate the feeling of clothes if I've put weight on. So I was expecting to hate wearing clothes while pregnant, but I got those jeans and two pairs of shorts all from ASOS. Everything feels really expandable and doesn't feel like its squishing me at all.

I've got a few tops coming from Newlook as well, I didn't want to spend too much as Its maternity wear. Although sadly I have to buy summer and winter maternity wear because of our trip abroad.

kismac · 29/10/2014 09:53

I had my maternity leggings on yesterday. I love them. They are from New Look. I start pregnancy yoga at the weekend. Im really looking forward to it. Not been well enough to do any exercise recently, so it'll be nice to get going again.

Im seeing consultant round about 16 weeks. Will that count as my 16 week appointment or should I contact my midwife?

Minstrelle · 29/10/2014 10:08

cinnamon sorry for late reply - was manic yesterday. Am usually ok with the heat, in and out of the shade like a yoyo , much to DH's annoyance! Am still googling ideas. Currently Caribbean or Florida on the cards..

I went to my first preg yoga class yesterday, was great. Really enjoyable, although it has made the muscles in my back ache. No-one was really far along in my class, but they do this relaxation thing at the end with lots of cushions etc. Could easily have fallen asleep, were it not for the need to go for another wee - not overly relaxing at all by the end of it!!!

fab to see everyone's bumps - I am 15 + 2 today, with just a rounding waist. Just basically looks a bit fat and is definitely other organs/food, rather than a baby at the mo. Impatient for a proper bump, although my running shorts/tights are definitely start to feel a bit weird!

daholster · 29/10/2014 10:09

Hi guys, just been trying to catch up. Exam next week, super scared and lots still to do so being pretty scarce... Just tried to catch up. I still have a fat bump (I'm about 10 kilos too heavy for my height at the moment) but it is a bit bumpy... I can feel itin bed. Keep wondering about flutters but then convince myself its gas! Started feeling dd at this time last time but father this time so maybe that's why. 16 week me appt on Monday.

Hoping to stay within 2 kilos of my starting weight by the end of my pregnancy so that I can get back to a weight closer to that I should be once dc2 arrives. Ooh, seems weird writing that!

Saw a relative on Saturday who is due 5 days after us and she has had a bump since 5 weeks apparently - knew she was pregnant before she did the test! At the weekend she had a beautiful bump like boo's at 14+6! And she doesn't have the podge that I have Blush Its her second too.

Will try to keep up from afar til after my exam is done. I hope everyone having a hard time is having a good day, and hello to the newbies!

Tried to upload far bump pic but it won't let me... Apparently .jpegs are not allowed! Hmm Maybe I'll try again later.

16+1!

daholster · 29/10/2014 10:17

Trying again... Fat bump at 16+1!

It did for me Kismac, when I pregnant with ds2 as I was under clc. There was a midwife there as well who did my bp, urine dip test and found baby's hb. Consultant just sat behind a desk asked me a few questions, scribbled something down and left.

TinyTear · 29/10/2014 10:20

Just had 16w midwife appointment...

don't have diabetes (yet) hoorray! and heard the HB Grin yay!

daholster · 29/10/2014 10:32

Ps as for clothes, the H&M over the bump chinos are awesome, by far the best thing I have bought comfort wise and they look really good. They weren't particularly expensive either. I'm pretty much living in them even though I bought them for work! I'm wondering if their jeans would be as good... I have topshop ones from last time but they are under the bump and constantly falling down (grr)... I sent back most stuff I got from Asos, the fit was awful!
