winnie1981 · 12/10/2014 20:55

So I'm 10 weeks today and I'll let you all into a little secret..... I am still wearing my maternity trousers (dd was 2 on 25/9) lol they are just so comfy and I've clearly been making the most out of my purchase!!

plinkyplonks · 12/10/2014 21:09

Grin Any recommendations on which shops are best for maternity wear?

speedbird17 · 12/10/2014 21:39

I wore my Gap maternity jeans to death until they wore through in the crotch and only chucked them in August! DD was 2 in June!!

Thanks for the spreadsheet Kitty!

2preteendramaqueens · 12/10/2014 21:50

Iv just been looking on new look at there range they have some very pretty reasonably priced dresses for Xmas party's

HariboBrenshnio · 12/10/2014 22:31

I got a lot of tops in newlook last time, Next over the bump leggings where fab and lasted well. Think I'm going to get H&M's maternity Parker winter coat as it's freezing already and with this being number 2, I'm predicting a reasonable bump by Christmas!

LP20140 · 12/10/2014 23:34

Nice one kitty on the spreadsheet, thanks! I have added myself xx

TheWildOnes · 13/10/2014 05:51

I have now added myself to the spreadsheet.
(and am marking place on new thread)

KittyVonCatsington · 13/10/2014 06:26

I've just been wearing my tracksuit bottoms when not at work Grin Obviously no proper bump but I now hate anything 'digging in'! At work, I've been recycling the same pair of larger trousers. At Half Term, a sneaky trip to the shopping centre is in order!

Just in case any of you missed the hyperlink for the Stats Spreadsheet, here it is! docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ajyv-zM-ASvUdHg4TVk1ZmlZbGk5RWJsVklicE80X3c&usp=sharing

Fluffeh · 13/10/2014 07:04

Thanks for the spreadsheet kitty, I'm added.
I have my maternity clothes from last time but then I was a size 8 and they don't fit :(. Although a lovely lady on my April 13 group sent me some of her mat clothes so I have a start.
Has anyone had to buy different knickers already? Mine sat right on my bikini line and felt really uncomfortable so I went out and bought stretchy lace waistband knickers, the comfort is amazing!
I'll probably get most new maternity wear from next or h&m because they are the only shops we have!
Exciting news I am 9 weeks today so only 30 weeks (if scans don't change the date) until I'll meet him/her (elcs)!

mumxof3x · 13/10/2014 07:55

Ive never wore maternity clothes Blush ive just never gained a proper bump with my 3 I just looked a tad bloated lol. Maybe this time il get a big one lol.

Thanks kitty for the spreadsheet :)

Crappy night ds3 up 5x and had ti go down to the dog 6x grrr...bit tired lol

Hope everyone had a good wkend x

piglet81 · 13/10/2014 08:11

Thank you Kitty for the spreadsheet - I've added myself and we might be twins except that you're due ten days ahead of me!

Talking of twins, I had a really vivid dream last night that I was having twins after all and that one had been hiding in the scan I had at the EPU! Grin Two weeks until the 'big' scan. I feel a bit anxious about it even though we've seen the heartbeat so I know the chances are good.

Been having a little browse of maternity clothes but not going to buy anything just yet - am in the bloated camp though so it is tempting! Just wearing my loosest/stretchiest clothes at the moment (and sports bras). Actually, my symptoms at the moment are basically mega PMT - sore boobs, bloating and emotionally all over the place. Poor DH having to put up with it all!

Hope everyone has a good week.

BeanCalledPickle · 13/10/2014 08:12

I would actually really recommend you hit eBay for clothes! For nicer stuff like dresses which don't get worn to death. There's loads on there from nicer shops like Jojo which are normally expensive.

I made loads of bad clothing decisions and also assumed that I would stay the same size throughout. I started out as a 12/14 but ended up a 16 by the end, so had to buy more jeans etc. So annoying!

Jenni2legs · 13/10/2014 08:28

Frugi does some pretty maternity clothes that are also suitable for breastfeeding. They are quite expensive (£55 for a dress), but if it saves me shopping for bf-ing clothes with a newborn it might be worth it.

Titsalinabumsquash · 13/10/2014 09:43

I get maternity clothes from New Look, they do wardrobe packs for £30, with leggings, t-shirt and a basic dress, there are a few different ones and of like me you're not planning on doing this again it's the cheapest option for a relatively short time, they also do feeding tops for those who are breastfeeding. Smile

Titsalinabumsquash · 13/10/2014 09:45

here for anyone that's interested, there is also )15 "starter" basics. Smile

Haily111 · 13/10/2014 10:17

Kitty i think i have just cocked the spreadsheet up, i think i have accidentally written over yours ?? and i am NOT due in Jan this year. Please could you fix it.
I am so sorry ?? xxx

Foetushost · 13/10/2014 11:02

Just sat alone in EPU. DP could not make it due to an important meeting at work. I have never been so afraid in my life. This could go either way.

piglet81 · 13/10/2014 11:17

Thinking of you foetushost and really hope that you get good news.Flowers

Foetushost · 13/10/2014 11:23
