I wanted to be by myself at the scan, dh would of taken the day off but if its bad news i would prefer to hear it and deal with it before ringing to let ppl know, very nervous though.

KittyVonCatsington · 13/10/2014 19:21

jazzy - just been lurking on the June AN thread...Pharmacists generally won't sell much to all pregnant women 'in case' so don't say you are pregnant wheat you get Fybogel. It is perfectly safe during pregnancy though! I must say though that the most human I have felt with constipation is Lactulose. Again, perfectly safe if pregnant (and tastes nicer than fybogel) but don't say you are pregnant unless you are prepared to get a prescription off your GP. I hope your constipation eases soon-you have my sympathies!

So lovely to see people scan pictures and good luck for those who have them coming up.
I've managed to get myself in a bit of a state this evening worrying about the possibility of a missed miscarriage. I haven't had any spotting the whole pregnancy but I do feel much less sick now than I did a few weeks ago. Breasts still hurt but again less than before. I'm at home on my own as my OH is in America and I've worried myself into a pathetic crying mess. How am I meant to last 2/3 more weeks til a scan?

Turquoisetamborine · 13/10/2014 20:11

Aw silverpixie, I was thinking about that today too. I haven't had any sickness to reassure me. I'm sure your symptoms are supposed to lessen towards the end of the first trimester.
Have you had an early scan at all? I had one at nearly 8 weeks and apparently it's 95% successful pregnancy after that so that reassured me a lot.
My main symptom is single hiccups all the time. Anyone else have this? I also thought I had morning nausea but I've worked out it's probably because I'm taking my prenatal pill on an empty stomach so I don't even have that. Lots of tiredness though.

Mslad · 13/10/2014 20:21

silver I know exactly how you feel, but from my experience of mmc, & experience of other peoples pregnancies, symptoms don't seem to correspond with mmc at all. It's different for every woman, & symptoms seem to come and go. But I'm also worried about lack of symptoms & this waiting period feels like a form of torture. Has time slowed down? Smile xxx

WigglyWigglyWoo · 13/10/2014 20:27

Can I join in? EDD 6th May 2015 with first baby Smile

Had a miscarriage at 6 weeks earlier this year so slightly paranoid this time round. We had a scan last week prior to the Harmony test which confirmed baby was OK so that has helped a bit! Just waiting for the blood results now. 12 week scan booked for next Thursday- can't wait!

KittyVonCatsington · 13/10/2014 20:30

Welcome Wiggly and congrats on your scan results! Hope you feel better although I know how difficult it is when you have been through the worst outcome.

Feel free to add yourself to our stats page (link in OP) and join in the chat!

silverpixie · 13/10/2014 20:48

Thanks for your reassuring comments guys. If I could find an simple place near me that did reassurance scans I would consider it but a few hours googling and so many places are far away of their websites are so confused. I think I just need to pull myself together!

redjumper · 13/10/2014 20:55

Hi, can ai join? I'm 11 weeks pregnant with my second baby. Due date is 4 May. Been lurking for weeks but have been suffering badly with nausea 24/7 - not able to work, struggling to look after my toddler, struggling to function at all really. So I didn't feel like posting on here back then. Now the worst seems to be over so just wanted to say hello!

jazzyjenbo · 13/10/2014 21:06

Silver have you had a mmc in the past? Sorry if u have already mentioned.
I'm only asking as if u have your local epu may offer you a reassurance scan, i had 1 2 weeks ago and got another tomorrow.
Try not to over think symptoms.. The lack of spotting/pain is a big positive.. Sickness can come later on 8-9 weeks.

silverpixie · 13/10/2014 21:11

Hey jazzy no I haven't. I think I'm just worrying so much coz it's my first pregnancy and I've got no one to talk to about it. OH is away until the end of the month and our timezones are so different - he goes to bed when I'm waking up - and no one else knows. In reality if something is wrong getting a scan now makes no difference. I just wish I could shut my brain off for the next 2/3 weeks

jazzyjenbo · 13/10/2014 21:20

I think everyone feels like that silver, i remember in my first pregnancy not telling anyone apart from parents until after 12 weeks and scan day so so tense, there was a definite sigh of relief after she said all was ok.
Thats what this thread is for, to chat through your thoughts and feelings and the advise given is second to none.

Foetushost · 13/10/2014 22:08

Hello everyone! I'm afraid I'm out. Sonographer found no heartbeat. Baby was smaller than it should be. I'm not as upset as I thought I would be... I think that I knew deep inside that something was not right. I wish you all good luck for the rest of your pregnancy. I'll still be lurking and hopefully will join a later thread. Thanks to all of you for the great support. xx

LinaDee · 13/10/2014 22:18

Hi silver,
This is the part of pregnancy that no one talks about in RL and quite frankly it's shit.
The worry is unbearable and must be so much harder for you as your DH isn't around to share it with you.
Maybe it would be a good idea to travel for a reassurance scan? In my area, nothing is based here but a company hires a room at a therapy centre - maybe you could see if there's anything like that?
What you're feeling is totally normal - remember also that your hormones are not going to be helping your emotions just now! A good sign!
Take care x

LinaDee · 13/10/2014 22:18

So sorry foetus xx
