Yes smiley. Really don't worry until you need to. The nuchal fold on its own doesn't tell you a lot, especially if it's not massively high. The blood test will tell you more and then there are different options for further tests. eg Harmony non invasive blood test.

Keep smiling at your pic!

Sunshinesaz86 · 31/10/2014 18:25

Great scan justjodie congrats!

Welcome katopotao that's exciting I wonder if our dates will change!? Can't wait until Monday either good luck sure everything will be perfect!

what times your scan Monday? 2preteen* how would u feel about twins? I'm a twin me and my sister were nightmares together when we were younger! Grin

Sunshinesaz86 · 31/10/2014 18:27

smily forgot to say my sis had something similar with one of hers but had a perfectly healthy baby boy so try not to worry! Easier said then done though I know.

2preteendramaqueens · 31/10/2014 18:54

My scan is at 9:30 , twins would be a big surprise as this pg was a surprise but I think the thought of twins is more frightening than if it did happen Smile

SmileyScooby · 31/10/2014 19:02

Thanks ladies, it is a worry but at the same time that is why we did it so could be prepared, as is our first as well. So here's my picture. Bit blurry as didn't stay still. Is that the nub on the left? If so what do people reckon?

May 2015: Thread 3 - Let's do this :)
bradders85 · 31/10/2014 19:05

well as of 3pm today I have suddenly developed a ridiculous bump!! It's frightening! Was fine this morning then by the afternoon I had to hoik the waistband of my skirt over the 'bump' because I was being cut in two?! Anyone else???

Justyouwaitandsee · 31/10/2014 20:46

Hi Tori - I felt exactly the same at 10wks (well from about 6-13wks to be precise!) Week 14 has been much, much better. I'm hoping it stays that way!

Kato - my bump seems to start off small each morning and suddenly inflates between mid to end of the day. My DH actually burst out laughing when I walked through the door the other day...

Gingerbreadlady1 · 31/10/2014 21:07

Hi kato, my scan is also mon, what's your edd? This will be dc1 for me & I have a very clear bump, I look much further on. Had scan at 8+2 & only 1 then but scared im gonna pull the twin wild card. Statistically someone in our group should, no?

tori, I'm also very fed up feeling sick, it's very demoralising, hoping as we leave the first trimester is might ease.

Loving all the cute scan pics, so lovely as 1 by 1 we get past this next hurdle. Good luck to everyone still to get theirs.

longestlurkerever · 31/10/2014 21:08

Tori I am one day behind you. Glad someone else is the end of May. I have been feeling a bit rough this week too though last week was my low point mood-wise. More positive this week though nervous about next scan.

KatoPotato · 31/10/2014 21:25

Due date is 16th May! But I'll be having an elcs so probably the 9th?

I had a dream about twins last night and now I have the 20 week bump! (Could be the chips)

tori I completely understand your nerves, I've had 2 mc (not mmc though, I do think they are esp cruel). Guess we just need to go through all these hurdles to get our babies then it will all be worth it.

I'm 11 tomorrow but 12 by lmp and have a big ol bump. Sorry 2pretend but having read through again, I think it could be you for twins....

We could have a bump off & post pics of our bumps!

KittyVonCatsington · 31/10/2014 22:34

Hi kato!! I too have a small bump at 14 weeks - must be pushing lots of organs out already!

Smiley Love the picture! I think it could be a nub pointing upwards-maybe a boy?! I'm rubbish at this though!

Tori Please be kind to yourself and don't feel guilty for not liking all aspects of pregnancy. It doesn't mean you are any less grateful but it does take a huge toll on your body and we are all here for venting and moaning!!

My moan of the day: why does my tummy hurt after mealtimes?!?! Grrrr!

Pregnantandpuking · 31/10/2014 22:35

Has anybody else been suffering from nightmares? I'm getting them on a nightly basis. Last night I dreamt that I had been kidnapped! I think that must subconsciously have something to do with the fact that I have got something else taking over my body right now! Also has anybody else started to notice some friendships beginning to change? Previously I had some close friends, or so I thought, who are either single or younger than me and in relationships but not ready for children. It seems that since I announced my pregnancy, they have withdrawn somewhat. One even had the audacity today to say to me that the dynamic of our friendship has changed since I announced my pregnancy. As in I would be really busy with that and she wanted to see friends that weren't tied down with morning sickness probably. I know this sounds like a bit of a moany post, but I'm just starting to panic about friendships diminishing. I don't want to be left in a situation where I don't have any friends and that results in me being on maternity leave in six months time with nobody but family around me at all! I think I might go insane if that's the case. I just don't know anybody who lives locally to me (Derbyshire) who is in a similar position to me. It's a bit shit!

Pregnantandpuking · 31/10/2014 22:37

I'm also aware that I might be getting a bit depressed as I am prone to this from time to time. Perhaps this is why I'm seeing things negatively and why I'm getting nightmares at the moment. Who knows what is happening to our minds and bodies at the moment?! It's a bit of a roller coaster!Confused

KittyVonCatsington · 31/10/2014 22:43

Oh my goodness pregnant you poor thing!! No wonder you are feeling down; with friends like that, who needs enemies!?

Life does change when you have a baby and some friends 'fall by the wayside'. Give it a few months and you can start going to group antenatal classes and you will meet future friends who will be having a baby at the same time as you and will understand. Until then, you have us!! We are your May Baby friends Grin

Pregnantandpuking · 31/10/2014 22:52

Thanks Kitty. I do feel like telling a few of my so called friends that I'm pregnant and have not got leprosy/Ebola/the plague! That'll teach me for picking friends who are all footloose and fancy free! Not enjoying this new cloak of invisibility that I seem to be wearing socially at the moment! Bitches! Haha! Rant over!!

aberjen · 31/10/2014 23:10

Stupid phone are my post, but basically:

Yes to nightmares (Carlton from fresh prince of Belair chasing me and DP around house with knife - wtf?!)

I met some great ppl through mumsnet local and at baby groups - it's easier than you think Halloween Smile

Take care of yourself and speak to your midwife/GP if you're worried about your mood - it's what they're there for Halloween Smile

aberjen · 31/10/2014 23:12

Also, when it comes to advice and 'is anyone else experiencing' type qs my mumsnet antenatal club from last time has been invaluable and am sure it will be same again with you ladies this time :-)

aberjen · 31/10/2014 23:15

Also, welcome to kato any other newcomers I've missed. I wasn't on the ttc buses as I think I would have become a bit obsessive Halloween Blush

Pregnantandpuking · 31/10/2014 23:26

The irritating thing is that after having nightmares or vivid dreams, I always end up feeling really tired when I wake up! Grrrr. Anyway, on a positive note, am off to see my sister in law tomorrow who is always really lovely. Pregnancy is a massive time of time and I suppose social circles change and adapt too. Welcome to all the newcomers btw! I'm not normally this ranty or negative! Honest! Grin

Pregnantandpuking · 31/10/2014 23:40

Oh Tori! That's a scary dream! Despite it being Halloween, I have avoided watching anything remotely scary, so fingers crossed for a good nights sleep tonight! Hope you manage to have a less eventful sleep too! Btw, being a geek, I just saw that you're another Midlands lady! yay!
