Could I also get instructions as to joining the Facebook group? Thanks!

jazzyjenbo · 29/10/2014 18:11

You can't see a 'nub' on all scan picks but if u look at where the genitals would be on some pics there is a bright white line.. If its pretty horizontal or like a - ... with the spine its ment to indicate girl and if its more angled up.. Like a tick or /... Its ment to indicate boy. If u google nub theory and just click on images there are loads that show it. There are also theories about the skull shape aswell.
I've never had a 'nub' to go off on either of my kids scans.

Sunshinesaz86 · 29/10/2014 18:39

Ahh thanks for that jazzy, I'll have a google x

kittiker · 29/10/2014 19:18

Lovely to see everyone's pics, My scan yesterday went well: a bouncy baby with all its limbs. S/he wasn't very obedient though so I felt pretty pummled by the end of it!

Told my work friends today - they were all very excited for me. But am feeling quite low spirited tonight. Think Dh is right and it's just the come down fromall the excitement and anxiety of the past couple of days. Still sucks.

mumxof3x · 29/10/2014 20:14

I doubt it....haha she also said 5 kids,im defo having noooo more after this. However this is my 5th pregnancy, which she also brought up she felt i I should have had another one...so dont know. She kinda freaked me out though lol x

Fluffeh · 29/10/2014 20:22

Lovely scan photos!
Hopefully I can add mine tomorrow after my scan in the morning :).
I have my consultant appointment too straight afterwards so I'll probably be waiting around through lunch.
Tits - I'll pm you after the scan if everything is ok.
Mum - that's freaky. I'm pretty good at reading people's past but Im less comfortable with talking of their futures. Sadly most people want a future reading so I'm not rich and famous haha!

mumxof3x · 29/10/2014 20:41

Iv only had one tarrot reading before, sadly she was wrong in most my future so far but right in my past lol. She said id have 2 kids a boy and a girl... The boy would be to my partner (who im still with) but then we would split up and I would have a little girl with someone else. Well 6 years down line I have 3 boys to the partner I was with then and still am with. Good luck tommorow fluffeh xx

Turquoisetamborine · 29/10/2014 20:52

How accurate mumof3, very odd! I love things like that.

Jazzy, thanks for the guess! It's a fascinating theory I'm going to look up more about it.

Welcome Pregnant!

I bought a load of maternity clothes today from Next and Asos. I'm going to go through my (extensive) wardrobe tomorrow to see what I can use throughout the pregnancy and put things that I can't fit away so I don't get sad looking at nice stuff I can't wear. I tracked around the high st shops today and everyone I asked said they only have ranges online now so I'll see what comes. I did look at the range in Primark but it didn't look very nice quality. I'm not a fan of polyester. I'll get some long sleeve cotton tops from there though in a bigger size to mix and match.

I did my Facebook announcement today. I had some lovely messages and texts, I've been on the verge of tears because of it all day.

Good luck to all the upcoming scans!

GinIsCalling · 29/10/2014 23:25

Oooh Mumofthree that's quite weird! Someone once came up to me and said 'you're a Scorpio, aren't you?' Then they walked away. I am, so was very strange - but not as strange as that encounter.
How old are your boys? I have one, he's three, and I would like to have another child after this if the pregnancy goes well.
Also how are people feeling nowadays? I hope the sickness/ nausea is easing. Mine is but I still have the worst skin, I'm so spotty.

Snooky17 · 30/10/2014 05:29

Morning
Can't sleep so perusing the Internet, new look have 20% off full priced items ends tomorrow tho but might be handy for those buying their maternity clothes.not sure if I'm allowed to post codes in here tho.
So great to see all the 12 week scan pics mines not till next Friday at 12+5.

Sunshinesaz86 · 30/10/2014 07:36

Glad your scan went well kittiker. Grin

Good luck for your scan today Fluffeh. X

My DP can't wait to put it on Facebook turquoise he's so excited bless him. I've also been told Asos have a great sale on at the mo, they've got a great selection too! I'm off shopping on Saturday to get some bits.

WigglyWigglyWoo · 30/10/2014 07:43

Feeling strangely jealous of you all buying maternity clothes! I still have no bump at 13+3 (even when I stick my tummy out!)

I should probably be making the most of it because I'm sure as soon as it comes I'll be sad I can't fit in to my old clothes! I know it varies with everyone but when's the normal bump-arrival-time?

Good luck to Fluffeh and any other ladies having scans today Smile

mumxof3x · 30/10/2014 07:52

Wiggly, I never get any form of an even teeny bump until well into late 20 weeks. Kept ds3 secret till 21wks and was still totally flat stomach at that point, and never went into maternity clothes either, stayed in my own clothes all the way through :(. Well I might get one earlier this time who knows....i was abit bloated last week though, but gone now.

Good luck with scans today. 5 days till mine now :) yay xx

Turquoisetamborine · 30/10/2014 07:52

Wiggly, I think if depends on how toned your stomach muscles are and whether it's your first. My not very toned stomach muscles were showing a bump at 16 weeks last time. I popped out at 10 weeks this time. The selection of maternity wear isn't very good so enjoy your normal clothes for the minute!

aberjen · 30/10/2014 08:45

Morning! Good luck today Fluffeh

Got my scan this afternoon. Been awake since 4.30 Halloween Hmm

Can I ask your advice? There's a particular sonographer who I saw twice last time (had extra scans) and who I really don't want to see during this pregnancy (basically, he thought he could see problems both times and both times it turned out to be nothing. Caused us a lot of stress esp as his bedside manner wasn't great). So, don't know whether to cross fingers we don't get him but then say something if we do, or whether to say something up front at reception. But don't want to make a song and dance about it. WWYD?

aberjen · 30/10/2014 08:47

On bumps, don't think I really showed until 16+ weeks last time. Sadly, I've looked about 4 months pg since before we conceived this time, and am just looking podgier now rather than pregnant Grin

plinkyplonks · 30/10/2014 08:55

Congratulations to all those who have their scans, lovely pics.

aberjen Same here :(

Pregnantandpuking · 30/10/2014 09:09

Aberjen, I'd definitely have a quiet word at reception because it is such an important moment having a scan, you don't want anything to detract from that Smile

Justyouwaitandsee · 30/10/2014 14:12

Hello! Just wondered how people are feeling tiredness wise?! I am now 14+2 but feel like I've been hit by a bus between 2-4pm each afternoon! Am at my desk and struggling to stay awake and the afternoon seems to drag by sooo slowly :-( online advice suggests finding somewhere for a nap but this just isn't possible in an open plan office. I am going to bed early and sleeping much better at night. Anyone have any tips? Am sat with a massive pint of iced water at the moment...

Titsalinabumsquash · 30/10/2014 14:46

Jeez I'm shattered, I only went to drop my older 2 boys at holiday club as I've not been home since.

I popped into Tesco to get some bread and DS3 threw his first 2 year old tantrum and managed to smash a self scan screen which knocked out the shops whole system ShockConfusedBlush

Then I went to get lunch and town was heaving, I had to get DS's hair cut and then wrestle my way back through town and now it's suddenly nearly 3 and the boys need picking up again. I could do with catching several hours of zzzzzs.Confused

speedbird17 · 30/10/2014 15:05

Oh Tits!! What a nightmarish day! Have to say I couldn't help but giggle at the whole system going down in Tesco!

On the tired front I am just exhausted at the moment! 10+5 today and after a big day with friends in the Cotswolds yesterday it's my one day DD is in nursery all day and I am still in my pj's because I'm so lazy as I work from home!

Hope everyone is feeling ok :)

Fluffeh · 30/10/2014 15:43

I had a fab scan. Wriggly little baby and strong heartbeat too. Dp couldn't see the nub (nor me but that's no surprise) but I'm guessing boy.
I've been put forward 6 days and now have an edd of May 12th.

May 2015: Thread 3 - Let's do this :)
Fluffeh · 30/10/2014 15:45

Aberjen - good luck for your scan!
Tits - I am dreading dd having public tantrums. She does it at home a lot already so you have my complete sympathy x

aberjen · 30/10/2014 16:01

Aww, great scan pic Fluffeh :-D All good here too, hurrah! Think bubs was snoozing, and seemed pretty unimpressed when we tried getting him/her to move into a better position, but got there in the end. Measuring bang on for dates. Lovely sonographer gave us 6 pics instead of the 3 they're meant to so that was great too.

tits you poor thing but the tesco thing did make me giggle (I can see DD achieving similar one day...)

aberjen · 30/10/2014 16:03

And thanks pregnant. Although chickened out of speaking to reception 'cos DP didn't think it was a good idea (which surprised me, he's usually much more proactive/vocal than me)
