Haha defo not. Grin

speedbird17 · 21/10/2014 21:28

Scan this evening showed a beautiful little bean, about 9+2 (as I thought!) so EDD put back 20 days as expected - will need another scan in about 3 weeks for Nuchal Translucency but heartbeat was super strong which made us both happy! Last mmc bean stopped growing at 5+6 and we found out at about 11w so I am happy to have passed that Grin

Steph, mine's at 9.20 on Monday so at least i won't have to hang around too long that morning Smile What about you? I think some people have found their symptoms easing off around now as the placenta starts to take over, so try not to worry. I haven't had many symptoms all along, so I know it's a bit of a double-edged sword!

Congrats speedbird and good luck to anyone having a scan tomorrow.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 21/10/2014 22:11

I'm certainly hoping my symptoms ease off soon, this constant nausea sucks.... I have no idea how those with horrendous sickness cope!

LinaDee · 21/10/2014 22:35

All these happy scan stories are lovely to read!
Kitty - is it your turn tomorrow?! If so good luck! I have to wait til 4pm on Friday. Still feels like aaages away!

I'm having terrible lower back and hip pain still. I can't believe it's starting so early! This is how i felt from about 32+ weeks with dd Hmm
I've no idea what to do about it

Royalsteph · 21/10/2014 23:01

mines at 10 so not long after yours. I have been lucky and the only symptoms I had were sore big boobs feeling a bit icky and sleeping more. but my boobs feel normal now thank god and the ickiness is going. I'm sure there is nothing wrong but you always have a bit of doubt until you see a baby on the screen. what's your due date?

GinIsCalling · 22/10/2014 05:31

So nice to read about happy scans! Hope the good news continues for us all.

I am trying not to think about pregnancy as 'real' until after the scan as I am so scared of anything going wrong... but it's hard not to think ahead and get excited.

V interesting to read up on the 'nub' theory. I want a girl so will try not to convince myself that's what I've got. If I have a girl it will be the first in this generation - my son is one of seven little boy cousins so we are all hoping for some balance. They are all aged under six so at the moment its very hectic at family events. I am sure any daughter of mine will be a tomboy, but I'm hoping she would also like to do the occasional craft!

Titsalinabumsquash · 22/10/2014 06:30

Good luck today everyone who has scans. Smile

I hope those of you feeling rubbish will have a feel good day too. Smile

I woke up at 5am, which seems to be getting a regular thing, I went downstairs, thinking I'd sort the kitchen and potter only to find DP's already done it! Shock
Now I'm perched up on the kitchen side, eating some toast and waiting for the morning madness to begin.

bradders85 · 22/10/2014 07:01

Good news about all the recent scans and good luck to those having scans today x

Fluffeh · 22/10/2014 07:11

Costa - you can self refer to one to one midwives. If you google one to one it will tell you how :).

Gin - there hasn't been a boy born into my family since 1983 but there have been 32 girls! As I already have DD I'd like another girl so she has a sister to grow up with but I wouldn't be upset if it's a boy, a girl would just be easier.
Good luck to all being scanned today.
The sainsburys toy sale starts today so we're going to go later and see if we can get some accessories for dad's Xmas kitchen.

Fluffeh · 22/10/2014 07:12

Argh not dads kitchen haha, dds kitchen :).

mumxof3x · 22/10/2014 07:16

Good luck to all having scans today :)

Congrats on the scan speedbird

I keep waking up with awful hunger pangs ha, not good!

I had a test at college last night, fried my brain, my concentration lately is so rubbish.

Hope everyone is ok xx

Sunshinesaz86 · 22/10/2014 07:35

Morning ladies, good luck to everyone have scans today.

Congrats on yours too speedbird!

My mums family is mainly woman however my dads is men. My two sisters and brother have all had girls first followed by a boy. I don't mind what we have but DP would like a boy, I wonder if ill be the odd one out? Smile

Turquoisetamborine · 22/10/2014 07:51

Mumof3 I wake up hungry every night too. I haven't put any weight on so far so I'm wondering if I'm eating enough. I'm not really a big eater anyway.

Congratulations to everyone with successful scans. What a milestone. I'm telling work today as I'm off for a fortnight after today so it would be nearly 14 weeks preg before I'm back and I want to tell them in person before my Facebook announcement.

If anything went wrong at this stage it would be pretty major for me mentally as I've had ivf, I think i would probably be off for quite a while anyway which people would ask about.

Turquoisetamborine · 22/10/2014 07:53

I have no interest in what gender the baby is as long as it's healthy. My little boy is ace so I'd be happy for any sibling for him, I really don't care.

mumxof3x · 22/10/2014 08:33

Turquoise- I havnt gained anything either, but im defo eating enough probably too much, I had a night time snack of 3 crisp sandwhichs last night, made with 3 breadcakes and 3 bags of crisps Blush but I apparantly have a metabolic age of a 13year old so thats probably why lol. Im not bothered about what gender I have either people think just cause I have 3 boys im wanting a girl but I dont x

speedbird17 · 22/10/2014 09:01

Another one here just after a healthy baby not any particular gender!

Crisps and carbs and just yum in general is all good in small amounts! Have put on 6lbs already, sigh, but my metabolism is about as slow as a sleeping snail, so to be expected! Especially as now I can't do my very active horrifically busy and tiring job I am on my feet/active for about 10 hours less a day...

TheWildOnes · 22/10/2014 11:18

Anothe one here who isn't worried about what i have. I already have and 11 yr old DD and a 7 yr old DS. Am not sure where will put baby though as only have a 3 bedroom house and will be a big age gap to be sharing.

mumxof3x · 22/10/2014 11:31

Hmm yes I see your point there wildone. Mines 3 bedroomed too but at mo ds1&2 share they are almost 6 and 3 and half. And ds3 is in his own room. Will be eventually getting bunkbeds for ds1 and 2, some point after ds2's 4th birthday xx

KittyVonCatsington · 22/10/2014 11:36

Morning Ladies! Thanks for all the good luck wishes Halloween Grin

The 12 week scan went really well - I have attached three pictures of the scan - the first one has the nub where you can clearly see it. The sonographer said what gender he thought it was, as we said we didn't mind knowing (thanks for the link about the nub theory!) so what do you all think??!!

Baby was very good and went into all the right positions. Initial indications of nuchal and measurements are clear/low risk but obviously will wait for the blood results now. My anomaly 20 week scan is on the 11th December - nice early Christmas present!

My EDD has been put back by one day: 3rd May 2015, so will change that on the stats list. Not going to quibble over one day!

Got to go back to work now - Booo! Good luck with the other scans today!!

CostaLotta · 22/10/2014 11:49

Lovely scan pics Kitty! I don't know about the nub theory (off to google).

Fluffeh the midwives aren't commissioned in my area and I haven't had a hospital booking in yet so I have to go via my GP. Hopefully will be straightforward yes and sign referral form!

I'm another who's not bothered whether I have a boy or girl. Although I have a feeling it's a girl.

mumxof3x · 22/10/2014 11:52

Wow kitty good piks :) congrats. Girl its more in line with the spine id say xx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 22/10/2014 13:54
