I want that coat tiny !!

I've bought some jeans and a pair of work trousers so far - everything was getting a bit to tight to be comfortable.

LondonSuperTrooper · 23/10/2014 10:33

Tiny did you get the panel coat?

LIG1979 · 23/10/2014 10:44

Hello!!After using the doppler again last night and not finding a heartbeat I got into a real state by this morning. But. ......It is still alive and had a lovely sonographer who did lots of the 20 week scan stuff and got a really detailed scan. also found out it is most probably a boy Shock which made dh very happy and I am also happy even if I wanted a mini dd. feel very emotional and now need to go into work and not cry.

think I will have to hide the doppler as not sure I can go through that stress again.

TinyTear · 23/10/2014 10:45

I did London

www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+khaki-twill-maternity-parka-in-maternity-coats-and-jackets+b4628

haven't used it yet as it is really warm, but my regular coat won't fit much longer... feeling a bit tight...

I need to find my old maternity clothes, found a few tops but can't remember what I did to the trousers

TinyTear · 23/10/2014 10:46

Cross post - LIG great news! glad all is well with your boy! Grin

And that is why i don't buy a doppler...

Tiny I also bought that coat in the green but returned it as it was far too long on me.

LIG great news! And congratulations on your boy. DS will be very jealous Wink

LittleBairn · 23/10/2014 12:58

smiling I'm feeling a bit done with it now I loved my last job andcwant to go out on a high.
Plus DH and I have always agreed I will be a SAHM so luckily we've always arrange our finances so that we are only dependant on his earnings.
If this baby doesn't make it I intend to go to Uni if I can figure out long term what sort if career I'd like to do.

London I'm sorry your feeling bad. The work situation sounds difficult, I know despite the law a lot of women still get pushed out during pregnancy or once they return from maternity leave.
I haven't bought anything yet but I'm the same with bras. I'm quite busty and really need underwire bras but in pregnancy I find them really uncomfortable.

LIG so glad your scan went well and congratulations on the boy.
I'm so certain this one is a boy, especially as I conceived dead on ovulation day.
Yes hide the Doppler! They are notorious for causing panic and stress.

Shetland · 23/10/2014 16:15

Congratulation LIG and what a relief - and I agree with hiding the Doppler, I think they can often cause more stress than good. Hopefully you'll start feeling regular movements soon which always helps my stress levels.

I have been in my pregnancy trousers since around 9 weeks but still fitting into my tops. The tighter ones show a bump but I can still sort of disguise it with more flowy ones. I am still up 11 lbs but most of it is on my bump!

LIG1979 · 23/10/2014 21:28

Babiecakes - at our hospital they book the next scan at the time of your last scan. It means you can ask for times/days which is helpful. It is only your 1st one that is given to you. So I booked my 20 week one today.

Shetland · 23/10/2014 23:24

Our twenty week ones get sent out in the post - no choices! I don't think you get more than a couple of weeks notice.

Congrats on your scans babie and lig!!

I'm in nothing but maternity now and have been for a few weeks, but struggled to find anything when I went shopping, so came home and ordered some stuff online. Word of warning h&m are really slow at delivery!!

17 weeks today!!!

TinyTear · 24/10/2014 09:07

Mine was booked after my nuchal scan. 9th Dec - seems ages away!

LittleBairn · 24/10/2014 09:58

I'm still waiting for my 20 week scan date. It is a bit of a mile stone for me I've never made it to the 20 week scan. It will be exiting seeing a real baby on screen instead of blurry glimpses.

LittleBairn · 24/10/2014 10:44

Damn! I've run out of bread. I have a corner shop close by which is fine for me to go too but its rubbish but all other shops are to far.
I'm going to have to be much more organised during house rest.

TinyTear · 24/10/2014 10:47

oh noooo, maybe start keeping a frozen loaf so at least you can make toast

London my 20 week scan is the 10th December. Such a long wait! I have a consultant appointment at 15+2 and I'm wondering whether they might be able to tell the gender then if they do the scan. I don't have a preference for boy or girl but I'm dying to know. I don't feel like I can even think about names unless I know the gender, is that weird?

I try not to think about names til I know the gender stuntman No point agonising over names you don't need!
I've had 2 scans at 16 weeks - with one they couldn't tell me the sex, and the other they said it was probably a girl but don't run out and pink stuff! (It was a girl) I think 15+2 might be a bit early though?
