I've already got a name AND a middle name for Bunny Smile

Both names appeared to me in a dream before I fell pregnant. I kind off had the same dream 3 nights in a row and I feel that I must use these names. It's kind of wacky, no?

LondonSuperTrooper · 25/10/2014 15:15

I actually dreamt I had twin girls but as I'm only carrying Bunny I'm using both names Grin

Luckily my husband is kind of spiritual like me and feels the same as me. They are not names that I would have necessarily chosen, but hey ho!

Stuntman · 25/10/2014 15:43

Way back in 2001 or 2002 I had a dream that I had two children and they were called Conor William and Rhiannon Catherine. We used the first name but then ended up with three boys so we still don't have a Rhiannon. To be honest I'm not sure I would use it now as it's such a pain having an unusual name that everybody feels they have to comment on and that nobody can spell. I have a pretty unusual name and now any time anyone asks me what it means I say, "It means Pretentious Middle Class Parents"!

LondonSuperTrooper · 25/10/2014 16:06

I feel that I have to use the name as I kind of made a wish. And on that very same night I had the dream and it was repeated for the next 2 nights. For me that's very significant.

Will you be finding out the sex Stuntman? And how lovely that you are blessed with 3 boys :)

LIG1979 · 25/10/2014 16:21

Got my quad test results 1 in 4100. was pretty scared when I got the result in the post this morning as they said 2 weeks but luckily it was fine. Grin

Been shopping for coats in jojo. finally found one I liked and fitted me but they have discontinued the blue on in my size and only have khaki. not sure I can warrant spending £80 on the wrong colour but all the others looked silly on me. (obviously I hated the one I had seen on ebay new with tags for £30.)

names - when I was young I decided I would have a boy and girl and knew their names. called dd the girls name but then decided I didn't want the boys name so now I have no idea. also, my boss has this boys name and so do lots of exes so not sure I can call ds that. dh's family have a tradition of calling their boys middle name their own name which I guess we should do. I also thought as on my mum's side of the family there are mostly girls, that maybe I could only carry girls as I was sure my 1st mc was a boy. so have lots of girls name in my head.

going out tonight with dh. not sure how I will deal with it as still feel sick in the evening but he was really keen. hopefully I will be able to eat my way through the sickness. 2nd night out in a week after not going out for over 2 months. I am a party animal!!!

15+1 today Grin

TinyTear · 25/10/2014 17:10

We have been talking and may have a name. Issue was same initial as DD but that's not major... Still TBC though...

We have a boys name but I'm struggling with girls at the moment - but I'm not thinking about it too hard til I have my scan. Might be a waste of brain power :)

Stuntman · 25/10/2014 17:29

Oh yes London I can hardly wait for the 20-week scan! Wishing my life away. I looked at getting a private gender scan but I can't justify the expense. I don't even have a gender preference but I'm still desperate to find out. I think a boy would be simpler with already having boys and bags and bags of boys clothes and boxes and boxes of boys toys! I don't want a girl for this idea of having at least one of each but I know my dad would be delighted with a granddaughter as I'm currently the only female in three generations. People tell me that girls are easier than boys but it would be uncharted territory for me! We had problems with secondary infertility when it came to our third child so I'm just over the moon to be pregnant again. I have friends who can't have children due to infertility or other medical reasons and I feel so blessed to be on my fourth. And I know that after this one I'll definitely be able to say I'm done having kids.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 25/10/2014 21:04

Im exactly the same stuntman desperate to find out the sex and counting down to my 20 week scan on the 14th, I cant justify the expense of a private gender scan.

we told dsc today and it went ok, both of them are happy and dss is very excited, however dp also told his ex who has spent all afternoon sending him abusive texts and sending dsd texts about how she is being replaced Angry

Ive also done a mass facebook announcement so everybody knows now, I cried for ages after posting it though as I decided id jinxed things.

smiling you've had a draining day.

LIG congrats on the results.

Stuntman I love your response.
Even with a fairly common and easy to spell first name I am still asked to spell it. I was glad to change my rare surname for my more known married name, again people still ask how to spell it!

We've been talking names too and I think we may have it. Quite exciting.

My wonderful mum came over today on her day off, even though she is going onto a 12 days shift period, and deep cleaned my whole house.
Bless her you could eat of the bathroom floor now, I'm gong to have such a nice peaceful sleep tonight.

15 weeks.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 26/10/2014 06:55

LIG I missed your post, congratulations on your test results x

little would your mum like to clean mine too? Im so sick of dust caused by the building work.

19 weeks today

Shetland · 26/10/2014 07:17

That sounds tough smiling What kind of mother says things like that to her own child - surely she can see she's hurting the child not your DP?

little your mum sounds amazing.
I have cleaners that do a deep clean every 4 months and it makes such a difference!

LIG1979 · 26/10/2014 07:52

I hope the scan goes well babycakes.

Little - your mum sounds great. Hope you are doing ok. How is it all feeling? When is your next scan?

Smiling - glad it went well with dsc even if their mum did not have such a mature attitude. Shetland, unfortunately hurt mums can behave like that. I didn't see my dad for over 20 years from my mum being malicious about my dad and she is still like it now even though they split up almost 30 years ago. (She told me that he didn't want to see me and his letters and calls to see me, were just him wanting to put the blame on me.)

Stuntman - my little girl was easy and from experience with my other baby friends it seems that little girls are easier. Although I dread to think about the teenage years and dd already has a strong opinion of what she wears etc. At 2.3. I am the same about boys - got no idea what to do with baby boys. But I guess you figure it out pretty quickly when with them 24/7.

Did people have early starts today? It was my lie in and dd (as usual) decided she would sleep in too - she even out slept the time difference [envy ]. I bet she will be up early again tomorrow when I have to get up.

LittleBairn · 26/10/2014 09:23

LIG I'm ok I've felt a bit crampy but around 14-15 weeks the placenta fully kicks in so that is probably why. Bed rest is doing me some good I don't have the pressure and pain at the moment.

smiling ah building work must be a nightmare especially the dust. Just think of not bumping into your mil everytime you turn a corner. Grin
I chose one job because when I went for the interview the mum was so relaxed and calm even thought she had no roof (attic conversion) and a 6 week old baby. It was a testament to her good nature.

I know I am so luck to have my mum, she doesn't even live near by so she has a 3 hour round trip too, she is coming back in 2 weeks to do it all over again.
I'm slightly worried my DH might get used to her high standards he keeps marvelling at the bathroom. I clean well too but clearly he thinks I have room for improvement. Hmm
Oh well at least I'm still the best cook in the family, well I will be unless my professionally trained chef of a father cooks us a meal...

LittleBairn · 26/10/2014 09:23

Oh my next scan is the 2nd they will be very 2 weeks.

Shetland · 26/10/2014 09:42

We were up at 5.15

Good luck today babie hope you get a clear view :)

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/10/2014 10:21

LIG fab results!

Stuntman the latter end of your post made me laugh! I'd love to know what your name is Wink

Smiling Gosh your dsc mum sounds awful! Doesn't she know or realise they she's hurting her DC and not you?!

Little good to know that you are feeling better. I also have an amazing mum and I'm always thankful for that.

Good luck with your scan babie.

I'm 14 weeks today! Yay to being in the SECOND trimester Grin

Ladies I have to offload. Am I being unreasonable at getting upset miffed with my parents for being disappointed that Bunny is a girl? They have 4 grandsons!! They tried to cover their disappointments but DH & I noticed it Sad I haven't said anything to them because they are fantastic in every way.

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/10/2014 10:25

Shetland I have been up since 2.30am! Might go for a snooze in a bit. DH & DS are on a European trip and I'm home alone as I was recommend not to fly Angry

They've been away since Friday and won't be back for another 3 days. I
miss DS so much! He kissed Bunny 100 times (he made me count) before he left- said that should make up for him not kissing her for 6 days Smile

TinyTear · 26/10/2014 10:56

Yaaawn
DD had night terrors last night and has started having regular ones... It's bloody scary...

At least wasn't a work day so slept in...

I was awake at 5 to although did manage to drop back off after a cuppa and a bowl of cereal, I am currently working my way around the house whilst DP is out on his bike, a tidy hous makes me feel so much better about the world!

Great results Lig, thats a relief for you.

What time is your scan appointment Babie?

London, its a shame you felt they were a little sad its a girl, I am sure they will more than make up for it when she comes along.

Smiling, my scan is the day before yours on the 13th, I am so ready to see this little squidge again!!

Happy sunday!!!!

LIG1979 · 26/10/2014 11:24

Now hiding in the shed on my bike avoiding my mil. not sure if it is pregnancy hormones but I am really Angry Angry Angry Angry . actually I have been quite Angry this pregnancy whereas with dd I was very calm.

My 2 names I liked if dc2 was a girl was Olivia or Lily. I thought they went well with dd's name. Boys names have no idea as the one I wanted as a kid I have gone off and is the name of my current boss which just seems odd.

LIG1979 · 26/10/2014 11:25

Oops! wrong thread - was responding to a mn friend asking about girls names.

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/10/2014 11:52
