Thanks Tiny :)

Little maybe you should aim for Christmas to knit all the hats Wink

LittleBairn · 20/10/2014 19:03

London sure London let just not put a year on that... Wink Grin

Toucanet · 21/10/2014 00:16

Thanks very much all. smiling, having just paid £550 for Harmony (MUMS in Solihull), would prefer not to spend any more on private scans! It had better still be alive having done so ;) But yes thanks suppose could if really worried. Will see if get a heartbeat from consultant on Monday. Know the 1% after 9wks stat but fact the last one made it to 8+6 then expired makes me nervous. Still, in better mood as Harmony results today: low risk/

TinyTear · 21/10/2014 08:18

Toucan had the same issue with my harmony, didn't mention i wanted the sex on the report but then when i got the results, they called the lab and in a couple of days i had the result.
They emailed me a new pdf of the report and I opened it together with DH

I am also past 40 (and 1 cough) so happy with my Harmony results (NHS came at 1 in 980 so also not bad)

No appointments for me this week, just the flu jab on thursday, but i might be coming down with a cold so don't know if they will give it to me

My family know and so do close friends and my bosses but its not general knowledge yet.

we want to tell dsc in person so will be doing that on saturday when we pick them up, we have them for school holidays because they live the other end of the country and last school holiday was to early to tell them. We speak to them nearly everyday so its been really hard not telling them but their mum is going to enjoy telling them things like they are being replaced or dad wont be interested in them anymore so we want the time to get them used to the idea and to be able discuss how they feel before they have to contend with their mum.

once they know I will start telling everyone else, although im sure people must have guessed as im really showing now and even baggy jumpers and cardigans arent hiding it.

I think we might be Tiny I'm 14+3, only 4 days and 9 weeks to viability!

LIG1979 · 21/10/2014 10:12

Hello all,

14+3 today!

I have given up trying to keep it quiet. Too many people were guessing from my weight gain and belly and people were starting to gossip. But like Shetland said I think some people are still too scared to ask in case I just ate too much. I still don't tell people but other people do it for me.

I went out last night Grin. First time since I found out I was pregnant. I was home by 9pm but still suffering today. Ate too much to stop the sickness and then felt overly full and got heartburn and couldn’t sleep.
Welcome toucanet

little hope you are feeling ok and getting on ok with the bed rest. I would love bed rest but know that in the circumstance I would hate it.

carebear if you are still reading I hope things are going ok for you.
I am getting dd flu-sprayed on Wednesday and then got my dating scan and quad test on Thursday. So keen to get it over with.

LIG We're due date buddies!

I'm already bored. Grin I have loads of things to occupy myself but I just can't concentrate on anything. And its a lovely Autumn day I would love to go a walk but I live on a huge hill so best avoided.
I'm looking forward to my appointment tomorrow solely because I get to leave the house.

Aaargh. having a panic - felt something wasn't right and went to the doppler. spent 30 mins and couldn't find a heartbeat - that never happened with dd as I always found it eventually. now got to wait till tomorrow's scan to find out if I am being silly. Fairly sure I cannot go through the 1st trimester again if this doesn't work out.

Little - hope your scan goes well today.

TinyTear · 22/10/2014 07:19

Thinking of you today Little
LIG you should be fine. Maybe olacenta is in the way

Hope all goes well today little

LIG the heartbeat must be pretty hard to find at this stage isn't it. And tiny makes a good point about the placenta.

My DD was sick all last night so I'm heading into work feeling very bleary eyed and looking out for symptoms myself. Fingers crossed we won't all get it.

TinyTear · 22/10/2014 07:39

London where are yooou? How did telling your work go? Or did I miss a post?

OP posts:
TinyTear · 22/10/2014 07:40

My throat is killing me. But have a client coming in today so need to go to the office

OP posts:
LittleBairn · 22/10/2014 07:40

LIG the heartbeat can be difficult at this time the babies are still small enough to play hide and seek. The midwife I saw on Saturday offered but warned against it because it might take a while it find and it can be distressing.
I totally understand the feeling of I'm not going through this again. We decided at the weekend this is our last chance to be parents. DH was really keen to go for a 4th (we always agreed we wanted 4 kids) but when he realised I would be doing it for him rather than us he was horrified.

LittleBairn · 22/10/2014 07:42

Tiny damn our lowered immune systems!

TinyTear · 22/10/2014 08:10

Yep, DD has had a cough for over a week now. she got better so I went ahead with her flu spray and then she got a bit worse. and now i have something. supposed to have my flu jab tomorrow but i think i will call and reschedule...

And this is also our very last chance... it's is my 7th pregnancy and I can't cope with another attempt...

OP posts:
LIG1979 · 22/10/2014 08:26

Thanks - I think my rational part of my brain is saying what you are saying but my irrational side of my brain (which usually wins) is screaming "its' all over".

Sorry for everyone that is ill or has ill dcs. It is rubbish when there is nothing but paracetamol to take. At work/nursery everyone seems to be ill and I am desperate to not get properly ill. Dh has what dd and I had last week although he is turning it into 'man flu' but the symptoms sound similar. Dd has also had a temperature for the last 36 hours but seems to be fine so not sure whether to cancel her flu spray - not sure how I am going to get through the winter without catching something from dd as she seems to find the sick kid, stick her fingers in their mouth and then back into her mouth. I have had more bugs in the 18 months since she started nursery than in the last 10 years I think.

TinyTear · 22/10/2014 08:30

My DD had no temperature, even on the worst day was 37.3 max so I am not too worried... She mentioned her ear is sore but i am hoping it's from a full up and blocked nose and not an ear infection... might be side effects from the flu spray

OP posts:
TinyTear · 22/10/2014 08:32

And LIG me and DH before we had children we used to call the collective name for a group of children a germ of children...

Now we know they DEFINITELY are a germ...
