Hey ladies, can I join in? I've lurked on and off since my bfp, but didn't want to post as have felt so pessimistic nervous about this pregnancy. My stats:

Jetpackplease, 33, 0 DC, MMC at 13 weeks March '14, EDD 16 April 2015

I have my anomaly scan on Monday and am now starting to feel very anxious. I've felt flutters, bubbles and a few pops since 16 weeks, but it's very erratic and often I can't be certain it's not just gas Confused I am just desperate to be told s/he is healthy and then perhaps I will relax a bit. I think I need to start buying some baby stuff to help convince myself that this bump is actually going to turn into a baby!

Sorry to those of you who have been having a really tough time. Some of you have been through so much already and I really, really hope you all have an easier ride from now on. Little you're an inspiration! I have everything crossed for you Flowers

Welcome jetpack Good luck with the scan - it might feel like a very long weekend but Monday will be here soon enough

LIG1979 · 21/11/2014 15:09

Welcome jetpack hopefully all will go well with the scan and you can relax a little. I definitely felt better with dd after the 20 week point although this time I was feeling quite positive after a good scan at 15 weeks until the last few days, but I assume that is because I am getting near to the 20 week scan and having to face another scan.

Little he has a very ordinary voice (well very similar to a lot of people where I live). I guess Scottish must be interesting to them. Not sure my dd has heard Scottish although she spent ages playing with another kid at the beach on holiday in Spain and she spoke English and the little girl spoke Spanish and I don't think DD noticed the language difference so she may not be that observant.

I have had a few movements today so feeling better. I think even with dd later on she still had very busy days and very quiet days and she still does now. Not working today which is nice as one of my team is being very difficult and making my life stressful. Although part of me would like to be able to deal with it face to face so I can enjoy my weekend instead of a game of email tennis which isn't very productive. 60 working days till Mat leave (after excluding holidays and day off etc.) Grin Grin

I got a couple of long tops from Asda yesterday for £5 each. They aren't maternity but they're long enough to cover a small bump until proper maternity tops look less tent-like.

Jet welcome. Trust me I'm nothing but ordinary, occasionally a short angry pregnant woman who likes a rant. Grin

LIG I'm feeling similar anxiety as we approach 20 weeks, worrying that the baby might have died silently. It's such a milestone.

Overall I'm fine. I have set myself a goal of reading a book a day. I've got one of my iPads running netflix or the radio. I usually hate TVs running in the background but it helps with the silence.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 21/11/2014 18:26

Hi jetpack welcome and good luck with your scan on monday

Hope you're ok babiecakes Good that you can feel movements - that must help keep your mind at rest a bit.

I might head to asda tomorrow then, thanks stunt I bought some tops from primark yesterday without trying them in the shop - put them on when I got home and they were bloody awful, so they're going back.
I am rapidly running out of stuff that fits.

LittleBairn · 21/11/2014 21:46

babies does the maternity at your hospital have a Maternity assessment department if so I would call them.
Do you know if your blood type? If your rh- you may need anti-D.

Feeling odd this morning trying to relax and not read to much into my discomfort. But I woke early on a Satarday morning with DD feeling odd.
Maybe I'm just feeling guilty because I dared to go to the supermarket last night.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 22/11/2014 14:15

Dont feel guilty little im sure a short trip to the supermarket hasnt done you or your baby any harm.

I have days when I feel odd (there really is no other word to describe it) I think odd and uncomfortable is part of pregnancy, ive had a text book pregnancy so far but every twinge, odd/uncomfortable day reminds me of last time and sends me into a panic.

Im tired today, that exhaustion I remember from the first trimester, im struggling to do anything and ive just had the strangest lunch, literally everything I fancied on the same plate Blush

LittleBairn · 22/11/2014 16:02

smiling your right I'm probably just having an uncomfortable day not helped by all the bedrest.
A wonderful person from elsewhere online has been wonderfully helpful and I now have some more info on my amnotic sac condition, Choriomniotic seperation.
Whilst it does have high MC rates a lot do go on to heal or at least last quite a while in pregnancy. So I'm feeling more hopeful.

Very interesting too that they can occure after a haematoma I had a major one in my 2nd pregnancy. I'm beginning to wonder if DS catastrophic rupture of the membranes has maybe done some permant damage to my uterus.

LittleBairn · 22/11/2014 16:03

Nothing wrong with stange lunches, its one of the perks of bring pregnant. Grin

Can't wait for the scan tomorrow although I am scared.

At least today is busy so won't have time to worry. Local street Christmas fair in the bloody rain and then birthday party for one of dd's nursery friends
