puppythedog · 12/10/2014 08:16

Good Luck Munday, You'll do amazingly. Flowers and Tardis (in case that's more your thing.

cabster · 12/10/2014 09:32

Good luck Munday! You're on the final stretch of the long road to Babyville!

binkybunny · 12/10/2014 09:45

Good luck munday you'll get to meet your baby soon!

mum2kiss · 12/10/2014 11:10

Good luck munday!

Due date today...

Not sure if I should be concerned or not. On Thursday and Friday I had pink spotting and mild cramping and at one point the spotting was red. I called triage and they said it sounded like things were starting to happen...well there's been nothing since Friday...not even a twinge! Baby is still moving but not often (seems like just morning and night) and I feel like my bump looks smaller! Dp says it looks the same to him though...am I just panicking because due date is here and I expected baby by mow?!

mum2kiss · 12/10/2014 12:59

Well I decided to call triage and they've said to come in for some monitoring so we're heading off there in a few minutes....

puppythedog · 12/10/2014 13:05

Good luck at triage. Sure it'll be grand. Smile X

porcito · 12/10/2014 13:24

Good luck mum ! Hopefully this is you on the way!
Good luck Munday too!

Lily31 · 12/10/2014 14:16

Fingers crossed mum.

Hope things are progressing munday

Are there any others out there who still have a few days/weeks to go!? Feel like I might be the only one.

Hips are starting get the better of me again... Darn relaxin.

Shirehobbit · 12/10/2014 14:27

Can we hope that Goats silence means things kicked off? Hope you're ok.

Good luck mum and hope things are progressing, munday

Lily - I'm still going at 39+3 (ish - dates have always been a bit flexible, could already be 40+ or 39) but either way, I get the feeling I'll be here, without baby, for a while yet.

Congrats for all the new arrivals. We have a son, Murdo, born Friday morning by section. 7lbs 3. He is lovely. Hospital very tiring but home yesterday under their enhanced recovery programme and currently cuddled with him on the sofa watching last night's strictly. Such a surreal experience to finally have him here. Finger's crossed for everyone else!

Woop, silly phone...

mum2kiss · 12/10/2014 15:42

Baby is fine...went berserk as as soon as they hooked us up for monitoring! Midwife doesn't like the look of my swollen ankle so put sexy stockings on me and has gone off to check my urine.

Lily31 · 12/10/2014 15:44

Congratulations fatpony! What a lovely thought, cuddling on the sofa with strictly on. Perfect!

shire are you feeling like lo is settled? I'm feeling like my lo is very settled for now. Not a BH, not a twinge...

I was also wondering about goats. Perhaps things have progressed.

Lily31 · 12/10/2014 16:13

mum2 glad things are ok. I totally sympathise with the swollen ankle. My left one is like a pig trotter. Horrid. My midwife didn't seem too concerned though. Hope your other checks are ok too.

Shirehobbit · 12/10/2014 17:05

Actually, lily - this baby is the polar opposite of settled! They're incredibly active (mw referred me for monitoring on Wed, as she thought the baby was tachycardic, but no, they are just incredibly hyperactive!)
I've had very strong Braxton Hicks for over a month (and the monitoring showed how strong they were on the CTG toco) and I've lost shed loads of mucous. Baby has been engaged for three weeks. Also, my purple line is dark and advanced.
But for all this, nothing. No baby and no regular contractions or cramps. Which is why I think this may be the status for some while, yet - there's no progress or escalation to give me hope Sad

I guess because DS arrived early, I stupidly let myself believe this one would too!

Gosh the thread has gone noticeably quiet.....there must be some babies being born Wink

puppythedog · 12/10/2014 17:43

Hi all :-) I posted on the postnatal thread earlier having s bit of a cry because it's all going on still and Mrsthedog and our gorgeous babythedog are needing to stay in so Natilda can have antibiotics and a test. Feeling much better now and Matilda has fed well for about twenty five minutes earlier this afternoon.

Thinking of you all as you get bearer meeting with your smalls. Wonder if Goats is there now... Grin

clops2000 · 12/10/2014 17:46

Hi everyone, thanks for the advice frau and flip. I ended up going for sweep on friday as thought it best to try and get things moving before having to head down the induction or hospital monitoring route. Had a very bloody show which calmed within an hour or so and have lost lots of mucus over the weekend.
I was 4cm already (!) so the MW said she wouldn't be surprised if I gave birth over the weekend but so far it seems she was wrong :( Still having loads of braxton hicks which fool me into thinking things might happen as they're sometimes really regular, but then they come to nothing. Just need some contractions now, tried DTD, pineapple, bouncing, LOADS of walking, and having another hot curry tonight.
Another sweep tomorrow if things don't happen overnight - for those who've had sweeps before does the 2nd one tend to kick things off properly? Really hoping so as its starting to feel like groundhog day here...
Congratulations to all those with babies (all such lovely names!), and empathy for those still waiting/ overdue :)

Me23 · 12/10/2014 18:03

Hello all I tried to post other day but phone frozen. My little girl violet arrived Friday morning. I'm still in hospital waiting to go home Bp has been high now on medication. Fingers crossed will be home on the morning. Congratulations to all the other posters that have had their babies :-) and good luck to all who are still waiting.

FatFlashingLazer · 12/10/2014 18:15

Lily I'm 38+3 so still potentially nearly 4 weeks to go if I go over. I really hope I don't though. Feeling impatient to meet our little one now...plus I'd really like to not be pregnant anymore.

binkybunny · 12/10/2014 19:12

Went to a safari park today and a massive contraction as we drove into the lion enclosure! Had lots more contractions during the day, especially when I saw a 12 hour old rhinos but it's all stopped since coming home Sad Also thought my waters had broken on the chimp island boat, but turned out I'd just lost control of my bladder! Blush

mum2kiss · 12/10/2014 20:13

Sounds very frustrating binky !

We went and had an Indian after leaving the hospital so hopefully the lamb madras that almost choked me might set things off lol!
