Hi guys, sorry for the delay in posting. We had our baby boy on Sunday, born via forceps as was head to sky and we were failing to progress with an anterior lip on my cervix. Was stuck at 9cm for hours with foetal heart rate dropping periodically and meconium in the waters. Was taken into theatre with either a forceps or c-section on the cards. The risks with the c-section sounded scary as baby was so far down so was happy to hear them say he had got his head out of my cervix, ready to be turned - good baby!

Ended up with an episiotomy and third degree tear. Haven't been able to post till now as felt so awful after the birth. Not helped by diarrhea afterwards. Got out of hospital on Wednesday and yesterday was the first day where I vaguely felt myself. Thanks so much for your messages. I can join you on the post-natal thread now!

Congratulations lily - have been thinking about my induction buddie! Smile

Aw kirstie i remember that feeling well Sad my dp used to work away quite a lot when i had my first dd, its always the night before they go away that it is the worst i felt? Its strange but once they are away, you just get into the swing of it somehow? Plus the joy of having a baby is that time seems to pass quicker compared to if it was just "me, myself and I " because you are kept going with "no break" what so ever! If you lived beside me i would be saying " just shout if you need a hand" Smile not easy hunni, but you will get there, and hopefully have you have good friends & family nearby ?

CellyD · 16/11/2014 11:27
