Congrats to Pregnant and Goats ! Sorry to any new arrivals I've missed, I'm pretty rubbish at keeping up with the thread at the mo, only just managing to keep up with FB!
Heidi had her 10 day check with the health visitor today and she's regained her birth weight plus an extra ounce so I'm chuffed to bits that my milk is doing the job. The support for breastfeeding has been great, I'd recommend taking all the help that's offered, I felt a million times better and more confident after a bf counsellor came to my house and gave me some tips. I still wouldn't be brave enough yet to bf in public though as we haven't quite nailed the seamless latch-on every time yet!
Hope all our labouring and non labouring mums are doing well, won't be long now!

YellowWellies · 13/10/2014 17:40

Kirsti that's great news! Smile

STIGZ · 13/10/2014 18:18

Just popping in to congratulate the new arrivals Thanks and Wine for everyone

Trying to catch up on sleep at the moment but very difficult with newborn & 4 year old ... Think a home birth would be fantastic as staying in a ward with 3 other babies really doesnt help when your sleep deprived with labour etc Shock its really taken it out of me this time, literally had 7 hours sleep from friday to sunday, i am really blessed that my newborn likes to sleep alot but being prepared for that to change Hmm

Really wishing everyone else still waiting all the best for their labours/ csec Smile

Missus2ndwife · 13/10/2014 18:19

More babies!! Wow!! Congrats Ladies you all rock Grin

I think my body is getting ready as I'm having a combination of Braxton hicks and shooting pains in my lower abdomen. My pelvis is sore (I can't describe it) and I am finding walking, moving and sleeping very uncomfortable now.

Please tell me it's not long now I could seriously start hibernating now.

kittyvet · 13/10/2014 18:51

Congrats goats and pregnant welcome to your little ones!

Been crampy all day, feel knackered and really cold.. Like I am coming down with something... May it's labour :)

kittyvet · 13/10/2014 18:52

*MAYBE!

hefner · 13/10/2014 20:29

Congratulations to celly, munday, goats and pregnant!

Grannyapple · 13/10/2014 20:42

Good to see the baby news! Congrats pregnant, goats, munday & celly!

No baby news here yet & like DLGB my last 2 were late so expecting same again.

Tho DD currently has hand foot & mouth virus & sis is down to help out as due date is Thursday but she's told me she's 7 wks pregnant so I'll need to try to keep DD away from sis as much as possible.

BingoBango85 · 14/10/2014 07:10

Well done new mummies.
I had an odd day yesterday. After a funny turn Friday where I had what I can only describe as a panic attack, made arrangements to see midwife yesterday. After feeling tummy she & her midwife colleague decided baby had turned breach at 39 weeks! Sent up to hospital for a scan & in fact baby was head down. All v odd having reassured myself it would be ok, plan could change to cs & holy shit I'd meet baby this week, within an hour I was back to continued back ache & a waiting game. Lol! All fun & games

Happytimes31 · 14/10/2014 08:20

Congrats everyone! I spent most of last night with what were the worst period pains I have ever had with little gaps in between. Is this things gearing up? Not sure I want too many practice runs!

Lily31 · 14/10/2014 09:10

bingo - what a day?! Welcome back to the waiting room, there's a few of us here still. Cake?

granny sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. Look after yourself.

happy fingers crossed for you. Being a FTM I wouldn't know what feels like the real thing. I've not had a twinge yet myself. Last night I was awake with constipation and gas -very attractive Blush

puppythedog · 14/10/2014 09:33

Congratulations Goats, Pregnant, Celly and Munday. If I'm missing people I am ver sorry. Love to all and good luck.

cabster · 14/10/2014 10:48

Aye caramba! Browser goes tits up for 24 hours and I miss all the fun!

Congrats munday!

Goats I don't know if I'm more pleased about Pippa's safe arrival, or you not having to be pregnant any more Grin

pregnant thanks for keeping us all so very entertained these last few weeks, enjoy your snuggles!

Top tip for the rest of you: sex before curry is a much better idea than curry before sex. Hmm

ohthegoats · 14/10/2014 11:10

Happytimes - that might be it. You do clearly notice the difference between period pain and contraction pain when it arrives for real.

My only advice for labour is know your limits when it comes to pain relief or interventions that might not really change any outcomes. I mean, they broke my waters for me after i spent hours deliberating, but if I'd thought about it I might have asked them to do it earlier. Get your birth partner to help out with decision making and perhaps be willing to persuade you to not be a pig headed old bag like I am!

binkybunny · 14/10/2014 12:34

Are you home yet goats? Hope you and Pippa are recovering well

Captainmcgraw · 14/10/2014 15:46

Congratulations to all the new mums. Sorry to not name you all, I'm struggling to keep up now. Those not on FB - Goats for one - we'd love to see a photo on here if you ever get a chance. However, I'm finding it hard to even read the thread fully with newborn in tow so quite understand if it doesn't happen. Can't believe we're almost half way through October. Time went so slowly towards end of pregnancy but now seems to be speeding by. Those still pregnant, you'll be in the same position soon!

Positive thoughts to all those still waiting.

FlipFantasia · 14/10/2014 16:15

Popping in to say hello to all the mamas still waiting. The last weeks of pregnancy are looooong.

This day last week was my due date and fully expected to go way overdue. My cervix wasn't even favourable for a sweep on wed (which I was gutted about as bad been taking evening primrose oil). And now I'm typing while 4 day old dd2 snoozes on me after a feed...

Looking forward to when all the October babies are here!

pusscous · 14/10/2014 17:00

Congratulations to all the new mummies- flip, goats, pregnant, Celly, munday

pusscous · 14/10/2014 17:03

Turned 39 weeks yesterday, didn't expect to still be pregnant at the stage , was due date according lmp.
Have had a few difficult days/ nights with hips, the pain is one thing, but not actually able to transfer weight from one leg to the other to walk so trios to bathroom were difficult to say the least.

MundayCakes85 · 14/10/2014 17:08

Hope everyone's coping ok- we're all almost there now.
I thought the end of pregnancy would mean normal sized feet/legs/ hands again. Apparently not, feels like my feet are about the explode Confused
I'm feeling very lucky to have my DH- he's been really looking after us both. Here's a photo of Etta, she seems to be doing well, midwife not worried.
Looking forward to more babies soon!!

Evening all, I have another question for all you mommies out there: which is a little tmi and I apologise now

I know not everyone loses their plug before labour, I have just read that as time nears due date and labour, mucus/ discharge is blood tinged as a sign of the cervix thinning. So my question is can I go in to labour even if I haven't had blood tinged mucus?

YellowWellies · 14/10/2014 19:01

Missus I've had two babies and no bloody mucus before labour

Missus2ndwife · 14/10/2014 19:20

Thanks Yellow! This whole pregnancy birth thing is such a minefield and everyone is different too

I'm feeling a little crampy but think I'm overthinking it because I want the baby to come #impatient #ihatesurprises
