Congrats celly!
After 2 hours of cramping and irregular contractions it's all died down again so I guess I am back to waiting around again!

binkybunny · 13/10/2014 12:00

Welcome back to the waiting club kitty

I've just sneezed and had the most intense pain across my abdomen. Think I'm off to sniff some pepper, maybe I can sneeze the baby out? Grin

fatpony · 13/10/2014 12:08

Robin I had my CS on Friday and it was the most amazingly calm experience.
We had a lovely midwife preparing us and in theatre with us, she really helped. Each member of the theatre team introduced themselves and we ejoyed talking to the aneasthatist about her long training, surgeon and assistant surgeon v chatty too. I felt no pain, the locals for the cannula and epi are no more than the usual 'sharp scratch' as they say. Baby was out within ten mins and both I and Dh did skin to skin. He was on my chest for two hours. Recovery team were great too. Pain post op has been very manageable and the baby is feeding well (so far!). So I wouldn't view it as an overly negative thing. I was home after 33 hours.

MundayCakes85 · 13/10/2014 12:20

Afternoon all baby Girl Etta born yesterday weighing 8lb6 after 12 hours of labour.
Everything was going fine until after 1 1/2 hours of pushing with g&a she just didn't want to come out! So ended up with a spinal block and ventouse and forcep intervention. She's got a lovely cone head but is absolutely gorgeous and managed to sleep most of the night with just a few feeds. Can't wait to get to go home now and rest my achiness.
Good luck everyone waiting or labouring x

BingoBango85 · 13/10/2014 12:35

Etta is a most lovely name! Congratulations

FatFlashingLazer · 13/10/2014 12:47

Congrats Munday. Etta is a wonderful name and on our short list for girls.

Hope everyone else is doing ok today.

I was annoyed this morning to see that I have some stretch marks starting around the bottom of my bump. I know I'm being superficial and it's not important in the long run, but having got to 38+4 without any I thought I might be getting a lucky escape. No such luck.

binkybunny · 13/10/2014 13:43

Congratulations munday lovely name!

flashing my stretch marks only came out about 36 weeks and now my belly looks like an OS map Sad

kittyvet · 13/10/2014 14:17

Congratulations munday!
Sorry to hear lazer - that's exactly what happened to me too- smug at 37 weeks and a whole load of marks at 38 weeks! Not fair!

Lily31 · 13/10/2014 14:25

Congratulations celly and munday. Enjoy your new bundles of joy.

Pinkie2103 · 13/10/2014 15:00

Oh no, don't say that!! I didn't have any stretch marks with DS and have been fine this pregnancy too (hit 38 weeks yesterday) so I was hoping I had missed out on them again. My linea nigra on the other hand appears to be making its way up to my boobs....

Not much going on here. I was a bit crampy at the end of last week but I think that was due to overdoing the cleaning (wish nesting kicked in a little earlier for me). Have started the RLT and started the evening primrose today but as I'm not at the super uncomfortable stage yet I'm so happy to wait a little loner. With DS my waters broke on my due date so fingers crossed I don't go over

And congratulations to all the new mummy's x

ohthegoats · 13/10/2014 15:10

Baby girl Pippa arrived at 2.15 this morning after a bit of a marathon labour. 7lbs 7, tiny tear for me but nothing of note. They dithered about suturing, but did in the end. Not a bad labour (got right through to pushing stage in birth pool with only paracetamol, g and a just didn't work for me at all), but v long and knackering. Officially 24 hours of established labour, but took me basically 48 hours to get to 4cm. Argh. No induction - they broke my waters yesterday afternoon, which was the right decision. My doula was amazing, worth every penny. There's some annoying parts to the whole story which I'll type out when I'm not on my phone, but otherwise a really positive experience. Now the breastfeeding hell begins!

Congratulations to anyone who got through it all while I was mooing in the bath.

Goats and Munday and Celly congratulations GrinGrinGrin. Such wonderful news!

FatFlashingLazer · 13/10/2014 15:26

Goats congratulations on the arrival of Pippa!

Pinkie maybe you will escape. If you didn't get them last time either then that's a good sign.

Anyone else feel like baby might be pressing on a nerve at all? I am getting really painful nervy pains in the tops of my thighs along with the the usual back and pgp pain. Weirdly it happens more just after I've had a wee. It was so bad earlier I was doubled over and crying in pain. I am getting really concerned that my pain threshold is going to be rubbish and my plan for gas and air only is going to quickly go out the window!

BadgerInBury · 13/10/2014 15:35

Yay goats!!!

binkybunny · 13/10/2014 15:53

Yay, congratulation goats Grin

porcito · 13/10/2014 16:01

Pregnantagain7 · 13/10/2014 16:16

Congratulations goats celly and munday Flowers

Baby Rocco made his entrance into the world at 7.15 this morn (his due date) after a bit of an awkward birth and ventouse delivery. He weighed a not very huge 8lb 10!
Am home and enjoying the kids meeting their little brother for the first time :)
Feel a bit delicate but no stitches or tears so hopefully will be feeling better in a few days :)

FlipFantasia · 13/10/2014 16:45

Congratulations Pregnant! Love his name and so punctual arriving on his due date Smile

YellowWellies · 13/10/2014 17:04

Congratulations Pregnant and goats Enjoy introducing Rocco to his siblings! Goats after labouring on just paracetamol BF will be a breeze! Glad you got to use your doula.

Lily31 · 13/10/2014 17:10

Congratulations goats - and thank you for the insight into how it went for you. Enjoy your new bundle.

Congratulations pregnant, I am holding out hope that my lo is more that size than the 10lb I feel like I'm carrying.

lazer that type of pain had been resurfacing for me on the left side. It feels a bit like the round ligament pain I had earlier in pregnancy. I think it's that anyway. I reckon baby has dropped a little and is putting pressure back down there.

bumpbangbump · 13/10/2014 17:22

Congratulations new mummas! So happy for you all.

binkybunny · 13/10/2014 17:22
